Solid album. Starts and ends strong

I can't believe I hadn't listened to this album before. I don't know if it was subconscious misogyny, but I regret the 37 years I missed with this album. The Miseducation of Lauren Hill is amazing!

Started strong, but I got bored pretty quickly.

Was okay, up until the three bangers that finished the album!

Michael Jackson, Picasso, Kanye, Morissey - All terrible people but great artists. This album was fantastic. Johnny Marrs guitar is like a second singer. Morissey's unique delivery is so engaging.

If I was a guy that ordered a double Tito's with just a splash of water and essence of lime when everyone else is drinking Busch Light, I'd probably love this album. It has a beautiful well crafted sound, but it feels so pretentious.

The birth rate increased in 82-84. I can only assume it was because of this album. No other explanation.

One of the great album openers. But one of zeppelin's weaker albums imo.

Clint Eastwood is really in my favorite 1001 songs (though I think Del carries the song). The Blur influence comes through strong, but still unique.

I know many people "want to like" Bob Dylan but find his voice unbearable, the out of tune instruments grating, and the song writing insufferable. I'm the opposite. I want to dislike Bob Dylan, but I find the rhythm and his voice engaging and unique. The song writing is smart - funny at times, sad at others. If you didn't like the album, or Bob Dylan in general, try again after a couple puffs from a joint, open up your ears and mind and give it another go.

Brought back memories of a simpler time - when a rich president, born on third, and his cronies, used the power of the office to enrich themselves further at the cost of the American taxpayer. But seriously - A punk album was needed to move the people against the Bush presidency and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some artists (Dixie Chicks) had spoken out and been ridiculed and pulled from radio. Unexpectedly, the guys that made "Dookie" were the ones with the balls to face this shit and out it the quintessential pink resistance album when the works needed it most.

Wanted to give it like 4.5. lacked variety, but the lyrics - dude was going thru some relationship shit and it hit hard.

Went in with low expectations and was blown away in first listen. Great lyrics, great flow and beats, beautiful voice, slightly self deprecating at points. Would listen to again.

This album was great... As a sleep aid. I had to turn it off in the car because I was falling asleep behind the wheel listening to it. I can't imagine a less interesting album. How was this even considered for the top album of the last 30 years in the UK? The music wasn't offensive or bad (which is why I gave it a two and not a one) Just really boring.

I may Cindi once in the early 2000's and she was a B, so I thought I'd hate this album - it's great. I thought I heard some Madonna and Morisey influence, but based on timing, I think it may be the other way around. I'd listen to this over any Madonna album.

I think I need to come back to this album. I can tell it is an album that requires undivided attention, not passive listening that can be done with a rock or a pop album. May change to a five down the road.

The hate for this album shocked me. This is easily in my Top 10 albums and is the album that opened me up to indie. So many memories and landmarks in my life are associated with Wilco and this album.

I loved the first LCD Soundsystem album. This one seemed like James Murphy had been hanging out with David Byrne and ended up making a shitty Talking Heads record. So disappointing and I can't believe it made this list.....

So many classic hard rock songs on one album. Two of my core music memories involve ACDC and I think it, regardless if the messaging is overwhelmingly misogynistic, I will always have a soft spot for this band. Core memory one - 1991 at the bus stop, Cory Young has a walkman and a cassette of The Razors Edge. When I asked what is that you are listening to? He removed his headphones and played me Thunderstruck. That was my introduction to hard rock and ACDC. That same Christmas Eve. Playing pool with my cousin in your grandparents basement. Big Balls came on. She turned up the radio and I got introduced to pre- Brian Johnson ACDC.

Was it the best Christmas album, no. Will I play it at Holiday functions in the future, yes. While Phil Spector is a gigantic piece of shit, he was one hell of a producer and the wall of sound he's known for comes through on this album.

My mom hated Elvis, so I ended up avoiding really listening to Elvis for decades. I think she might have grown up in that town from Footloose, because this album just made me want to dance!

Perfectly fine. Some memorable hits, but I'm never going to reach for this album to listen to the whole thing ("War" is the only U2 album that holds that distinction)

I imagine because it was in Portuguese, and I didn't understand the lyrics but this down. It would be great background music at a dinner party.

I had a low bar coming into this album because so many people were shitting on it. There were 2 out 3 songs that were a bit much, but all in all, I think this was a very listenable album and will likely try it again when have some time and weed.

Great album. You had really hear how REM and the Replacements influenced each other during their early touring days.

This was a hard one. Listening to it today versus listening to the 1988. Today it seems boring. Nothing really excites me about it. But I imagine in 1988 it was mind-blowing. Taking all that into consideration. I was going to give it a three, but because of its impact on other music that I love giving it a 4

This album was part of the suggested to my teen years. Unfortunately, the ratings are artificially lowered by people who think it's cool to hate on Metallica - bitter at their success in an era and genre defined by defiance.

I know this is supposed to be a great album, but feels way too artsy. I was so bored. Probably least favorite Radiohead album.

Is never heard of this album or band. I was in a bad state when I listened to this. It hit the damn spot. Not a banger on the album, but enjoyed it so much.

I'm usually pretty good about separating the art from the artist, but I found myself so annoyed listening to this album....

I'm evidently in the minority, but I love the raspy voice (but I also love Tom Waits).

Some classics to start, but serving half was weak

I'm so glad this ended with Good Vibrations! The true album felt like a tribute to the song. Up until good vibrations it felt like The Beach Boys grew up and met Morissey and Brian Eno asking the way. I grew up loving The Beach Boys and I lived this album.
