Commitment to noise was fun, lots of grain and fuzz, no memorable songs or song structures, fits a mood but I don't know when I would return 2/5

Boring as sin

Really pleasant, gorgeous voice, fun premises

Lovely synths, she has a pretty voice, don't know if there are many memorable tracks past the opener

Touched by God, just pure excellence everywhere

Not my favorite blues, but Muddy Waters is such a trailblazer and the live album was fun

Fun and creative work, last song is 15 minutes of greatness

So therapeutic and special, could return to this once a year

So nostalgic, genuinely some of the best 2000's pop/soft rock ever written

Very danceable, will return when im mote fluent

Back half absolutely makes up for the unremarkable front half

Not my favorite Sonic Youth by any means but they're always solid, gotta love their edge

Love Nina's voice and her songwriting is underappreciated, some very good cuts on here

Everything you could want from jazz

Hits a lot of the right spots

I maybe liked one song, but I couldn't wait to listen to something else

There's some bops in here, if you asked me what songs they were, I couldn't tell ya

Phenomenal beats and undeniable energy and swagger

Sweet and soothing without being saccharine, makes you think of times and places

Yeah we get it bro, you like metaphors

These brothers sure know how to harmonize, throw this one on the jukebox

I just cant ignore how cheesy this sounds to my ear

May be displaying my lack of intellect but I wish all these songs were 13 minutes

These guys know how to write a song man

Something about that guitar tone man, it's eternal

Can hear a ton of influences on subsequent electronic releases

Outro is so good, instrumental might be the best track on the album

I had next to no idea what kind of music Jamiroquai makes, but this was passable

I could see myself listening to this at a resort, would make some crazy hip-hop samples

I'm so sorry I wanted to turn this off as soon as I started listening

Fan discovers the guy behind Gorillaz was good at album rock

Some of these instrumental passages are 100% pure distilled rock

Half of it is very grating and then the other half is very forward-thinking

Much worse rock on the radio in the mid-aughts

Not as offensively bad as other '90s rock

Kinda crazy that the frontwoman is blonde

By The Time I Get To Phoenix being one of the best songs ever recorded certainly helps this one

Some grooves are easier to catch than others, but it's strangely cohesive enough to be worthwhile

Really nice textures and love the length of each track

The hits are great, the other tracks are fine

Boundary-pushing and entirely novel, tries new things with guitars, drums, vocals, and volume that you really won't get anywhere else. Watch the documentary!

Got some nauseating instruments on this one man

Delightful in a lot of ways, so many genres covered

I've come to the conclusion I do not enjoy Paul Simon

Not nearly as many standouts as his other classics, but I really enjoy the bass on this one

Some noisy parts on here that tickled me right

Just enough shades of Fleet Foxes to keep me engaged

Gotta respect my elders, who graciously allowed my robot duo to take their gimmick

Is it possible Bowie was too prolific

A few good riffs not enough to save this proto-prog

Approaching what truly makes Gorillaz such a great project but the vision isnt truly realized until Demon Days. Still wildly creative and fun with too many standouts to ignore.

Pure, iconic, genre-defining country that's so exceptional it's hard to believe. My fellow Glendale boy was cooking with napalm on this one

Absolutely nails its tone and mixing, really like the vocal runs but I'm more of a fan of a few tracks than the album as a whole

Guitars and compositions are mostly nice, I doubt I'll ever remember one thing from this album besides the standouts though

I don't think the glossy production matches the lyrical sleaze, but I think that's because I love the inspirations more than the influences

Some refined folk sensibilities but I don't like his songwriting capabilities as much as his contemporaries

Wasn't utterly enthralled but I can appreciate the grunge

Incredibly catchy and hooks you right away, introduces some ideas I haven't heard before, really lends itself to sampling. Will revisit this one sooner rather than later

It is the quintessential rock 'n' roll album

Some nice proto-industrial with raspy percussion that fits the sound well

Imagine being a monkey rolling in a ball to this
