1001 Albums Summary

This album reminds me of popcorn at the movies. Enjoyable enough and ubiquitous.

If you ignore the producer, it's a great Xmas album.

Influential, but lackluster in context of Bowie's catalogue.

Dang, it's a good concert album and 'Still in Love with You" is a great rock ballad, which I don't think I've ever heard before. Also, I didn't realize how much of The Will To Live by Titus Andronicus was influenced by Thin Lizzy.

Influential and interesting.

I can't believe that I listened to this whole album. 'Milquetoast' came to mind when listening. I felt like i was sitting in the dental chair at the orthodontist involuntarily listening to the radio circa 1994. I bet the dental assistants loved Culture Club. Why was the last song on this album an instrumental number? Weird.

Its hard not to be contrarian about MIA, but I can also say this specific album isn't it for me. Paper Airplanes does continue to be a banger though.

It started with a terrible cover of one of my favorite songs and it didn't get better.

I may be the odd man out with this album, but there are some really great tracks here. Also, to be fair, it was one of our in the car CDs from 2008-2010 soI know this album really well.

This was a refreshing change of pace for my morning.

I hate it. It took listening to girl rock from the same era to figure out why I had such a visceral reaction. Tori Amos just sounds too earnest/sincere/self-important. I liked plenty of similar singer-songwriters like Jewel and Fiona Apple, but Tori Amos is just too much. And too warbly.

I have listened to this album 50+ (100?) times. It is one of my dad's favorite albums. This album is really not my jam, but my endearing love for my father has informed my rating.

How did he end up sucking so much?

This album is seasonal for me. Cozy winter days cuddled in a blanket.
