Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Jan 22 2026

Never was a huge Nina Simone fan before hearing this. The live in NY 1964 tracks are killer.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Jan 29 2026

There were a lot of great moments in this but it's definitely not my favorite Deep Purple.

Tommy by The Who
Jan 30 2026
Feb 03 2026

It's hard to give this anything lower than a 4 because it produced multiple iconic songs. I still wish this was a single record with only the greatest. That would have made this a 5 but it's still a really great record. Andre and Big Boi were both at the height of their creativity when this was made.

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Feb 06 2026

I never really "got" Sonic Youth. But this was changed things for me. I really love this record. The songs are all well composed and perfectly executed.

2112 by Rush
Feb 16 2026
The Wall by Pink Floyd
Feb 17 2026

The really theatrical songs drive me crazy here. Disc 2 is far superior to me, though some winners like Mother, Goodbye Blue Sky, and Young Lust on disc 1 at least give you something to look forward to before getting to the second disc.

xx by The xx
Feb 23 2026
Tidal by Fiona Apple
Mar 05 2026
Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Mar 12 2026

Every ELP album seems to have that ONE song that just doesn't belong. Are You Ready Eddy? is that song here. Otherwise, it's a great record.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Mar 17 2026
Odelay by Beck
Mar 19 2026

This record was definitely a fundamental one when I was refining my music taste. It was time to move on from grunge and this was one of the greats from 1996 to push me in a different direction.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Mar 24 2026

Willie's voice on this record is the best it ever sounded. And a good reminder that Willie can really play the guitar.

Remedy by Basement Jaxx
Mar 26 2026
Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Mar 30 2026

The good songs are amazing and the not good songs are real bad. A little inconsistent for me.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Mar 31 2026

Just a great, solid rock record.

The Slider by T. Rex
Apr 01 2026

I like T. Rex a lot and this is solid but there's not a ton of variation to his sound

Eliminator by ZZ Top
Apr 10 2026

Really good for what it is -- the hits are great but mostly not for me.

B-52's by The B-52's
Apr 13 2026
Dookie by Green Day
Apr 14 2026
Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Apr 16 2026

I love Isaac Hayes as a composer and songwriter.

Aja by Steely Dan
Apr 28 2026

I know it's a little cheesy and not incredibly dynamic. But I love it anyway. It's fun.

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Apr 30 2026
21 by Adele
Jun 12 2026
Bad by Michael Jackson
Jun 16 2026
Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jun 17 2026
Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Jun 25 2026

Sometimes I really hate Stevie Wonder. His music is flawless, he played nearly every instrument, and he had just turned 22 when he recorded this record. I can't even fathom what it would mean to be this talented. Flawless record overall. I Believe is such a powerful song and the perfect closer.

Ten by Pearl Jam
Jul 14 2026
Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Jul 27 2026

Compared to Are You Experienced? from the same year, this one felt like a lot of filler.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Jul 31 2026
Stripped by Christina Aguilera
Aug 13 2026

It's not bad. It's good pop music but it comes during that weird time in the CD era where the idea was to fill up every minute. This would be a better 45 minute album -- most records would be.
