Popular Reviews

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales

kind of fun at points, too repetitive, got sick of it as it went on

All Ratings (109)

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Feb 19 2026

chaotic but also not that interesting

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Feb 20 2026

I enjoyed this! Unsure if this score is too harsh but i think a 3 is pretty good so eh Had some clunky lyrics and could be a bit on the nose and repetitive at times for my taste but also some great moments

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Feb 22 2026

Great voice, ultimately a covers album with not loads going on

In Utero by Nirvana
Feb 23 2026

I enjoyed this and rating is hard, my indecisiveness prefers to have the option of half stars. I liked it but some repetitive choruses and not many wows for me on first few listens, will maybe revisit after Nevermind

Revolver by Beatles
Feb 24 2026

I may be biased because this is the Beatles album I grew up on but it's just banger after banger As a child I LOVED Eleanor Rigby and found For No One so devastating i could barely listen to it - on this listen Tomorrow Never Knows really stuck out to me. A treat!

this is horrific but at least it was entertaining ...until it went on too long and became insufferable listening to this made me turn off recently played artists being visible on my spotify profile

Lost Souls by Doves
Feb 26 2026

Sounds nice i suppose, but a bit one-note - i feel like the album is broadly composed of continual noise with some interesting textures but it lacks some light and shade. Most of it sounds like background music that might be used in a mid film or car advert - more focused on atmosphere and vibes than musicality. It was fine, it sounded nice enough, but it bored me more as it went on.

Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Mar 05 2026

3-4

Logical Progression by LTJ Bukem
Mar 06 2026

i listened to the original version on youtube as recommended by another review, and it was a lot better than the version on spotify so i'd recommend doing that. unfortunately i still hate drum & bass and i hated this

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Mar 07 2026

I was surprised by how much i didn't really like this one because i do like arcade fire that ive heard previously. started off well then got a bit wishy washy and anthemic for my taste

Only By The Night by Kings of Leon
Mar 08 2026

eh fine. i don't really like his voice

Butterfly by Mariah Carey
Mar 09 2026

cheesey and samey and unfortunately really not my thing

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Mar 10 2026

fun album, not as interesting as stuff to come

Real Life by Magazine
Mar 11 2026

enjoyed this one! will revisit

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Mar 12 2026

not really my genre but honestly enjoyed this more than i thought i would that said - pussycat was terrible, plz beyonce you can still go to the club with your friends even though you love your man, and if i hear 'this is a missy elliott exclusive' one more time i think i'll have a breakdown

Tragic Songs of Life by The Louvin Brothers
Mar 13 2026

unfortunately i'm not massively a lyrics person and musically this is very monotonous and repetitive, almost eerily so. an interesting listen as i've not listened to much traditional country music before, but i didn't particularly enjoy it - the constant harmonising made my brain feel like mush by the end

Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales
Mar 15 2026

kind of fun at points, too repetitive, got sick of it as it went on

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Mar 16 2026

this is a journey and the sampling is crazy, i understand why people love it and why it's here but i also struggled to get through it

Stankonia by OutKast
Mar 17 2026

i'm trying to like rap & hip hop but i'm finding it hard snappin' & trappin' one of the most horrible songs ive ever listened to but the rest of it was alright might have rated this higher if i didn't feel a bit overwhelmed by rap lately - i can see why it's good but i just didnt really enjoy listening to it and it was looong

Nixon by Lambchop
Mar 19 2026

sounds nice enough

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 21 2026

the kind of album that feels more about the lyrics than about the music. I quite liked State Trooper, the rest of it was fairly samey and uninteresting.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Apr 03 2026
Urban Hymns by The Verve
May 04 2026

opens with a song ive heard in ads my entire life but never been arsed about enough to google, got even less interesting after that

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
May 06 2026

enjoyed this, confused by compilation

Debut by Björk
May 09 2026

wow i love it when music is fun and weird

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
May 12 2026

tinny 80s synths and shrieky voice - not my thing

Different Class by Pulp
May 16 2026

many a classic banger, a little bit too poppy for me

The Bends by Radiohead
May 22 2026

eh fuck it

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
May 23 2026

some interesting bits but kinda boring

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
May 28 2026

is it the absolute best bowie probably no, but is it so warm and beautiful that it brings me to tears yes, therefore 5 stars

Tigermilk by Belle & Sebastian
May 29 2026

nice listening for a hot sunny day, probably won't ever listen to it again and i suspect if i'd got this one on a horrible rainy day i'd have given it a 2

Van Halen by Van Halen
Jun 02 2026

kinda fun i guess but a bit soulless? too American and too Man

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Jun 05 2026

yeah kinda liked this idk got worse towards the middlend but better again at the end

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Jun 09 2026

it's alright. her voice is too slinky and i don't like all the jumps in the melodies, and i feel like it lacks an edge. i get why it's good but i just don't really like it very much maybe one to revisit at some point

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jun 10 2026

the most twee thing i've ever heard but i didn't haaate it it's not interesting or varied enough to get away with being this long tho

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jun 17 2026

last song is fucking crazy

1999 by Prince
Jun 18 2026
Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jul 14 2026

maybe i'm missing something but this goes on for too long and has some good moments but is largely kind of dull. maybe one to revisit.

Arular by M.I.A.
Jul 16 2026
Cross by Justice
Jul 19 2026
69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Jul 28 2026

some pretty good some pretty bad mostly forgettable 3 fucking hours long

Architecture And Morality by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Jul 29 2026

some of this was pretty cool and some of this i really didnt like

Aug 02 2026

ive never intentionally listened to oasis before even though i obviously know most of this album already via osmosis or something idk, and i seem to be feeling grumpy today so here goes liam's voice is unbearable and wonderwall is shit. i have fun hearing some of these songs individually but a whole album of this samey whiney nonsense is too much jfc apparently i'm now required to move out of manchester

Bad by Michael Jackson
Aug 03 2026

hard to rate bc it oscillated between kinda groovy and vomit inducing. overall gave me the ick

A Northern Soul by The Verve
Aug 05 2026

i liked this more than the other album on here but not that much

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Aug 06 2026

bland and also horrible

1984 by Van Halen
Aug 08 2026

so american and so 80s

Station To Station by David Bowie
Aug 10 2026

maybe one day i'll rate a bowie album less than 5 stars but today is not that day 10/5 fucking brilliant one of my favs

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Aug 11 2026

liked this more than Blue but i still don't really get Joni Mitchell

American Idiot by Green Day
Aug 15 2026

musically feels a bit like mcdonalds, tastes alright but devoid of anything interesting billie joe armstrong's voice is nails on a chalkboard unbearable i appreciate the whole political punk rock opera thing (theatre kid (derogatory)) but it does ends up feeling very cheesy
