It's no steely Dan but it's close

High and dry is peak winnie the pooh's soul leaving his body. First track kind of lacks depth/dimension but overall quite good.

I mean there's nothing wrong with this but I just don't know if there's anything particularly great about it either.

Even for today this album feels so special, experimental, and unique. Literally dancing the whole way. Only thing I don't like is the album cover it isn't the vibe ...

As you all known I am in my Dolly Parton era so my brain was already primed to love this and it was lovely! None of the songs stick out to me strongly tho so ... only 4 stars

I like a lot of things about this album but some of the tracks just feel a little overly long and there were some other odd choices made when it comes to mixing (which I do know were likely intentional but that doesn't make me like them lol). The production, lyrics, vocal direction etc are sublime but I'm not sure if I'll listen to this one again. I think I'll listen to some of their other stuff though.

Abbey Road might be a bit overrated still compared to other Beatles albums (I want you/she's so heavy is good but way too fucking long tho) but it's quite good through and through and has some of the most masterful song transitions

Nothing wrong with this album but I wasn't really feeling it.

This is a really difficult ranking for me because I love daft punk but this album is just not that good.. but I have to ask myself, out of context, if I had never listened to daft punk before and had no standards, what would I give it? Ultimately I reflected on my ratings so far and concluded...

Once again as I've said I'm in my Dolly era rn and this is actually not one I had listened to yet. It's pretty good but very short and I just know how much better Dolly can get because I've heard it lol

I think maybe this just isn't for me. I liked it a little but in general I didn't enjoy myself much. Not in the best mood so maybe I'm being a lil unfair

I've never really listened to R. E. M. Before so maybe if I had heard their better stuff I would like this less but I thought it was pretty good ... Vibey

Excellent album some of my favorite Beck songs are on this album and many songs are SO GOOD!!!! But fuck farewell ride and also I don't really like hell yes either

Feel insanely mixed about this album because I do actually really enjoy the music but all the live albumness of it all is so irritating! Every song is way too long, the yapping is so annoying, the audience is also so annoying but luckily you can't hear them during the actual songs. Even though I legit enjoyed the music I was so ready for this album to be over! Every time I've felt like that about an album so far I've given it a 2 but that just doesn't feel right because I think I like The Who 😭 I'm gonna do 3 for now and try to listen to the ACTUAL real original release and maybe change it later

Honestly some of these songs are really good but some of them are snooze fests so that makes this album perfectly mid imo

This album is paced perfectly imo. No individual song felt too long not the album as a whole which has so far been a feat in this challenge. I'm not the biggest fan of the vocal performance or lyrics but sometimes it hits and the instrumentation is very good.

The mixing is undeniably terrible and it is a bit long for sure but despite those flaws I still actually like it a lot and I could see myself easily giving a different Hüsker Dü album a 4 because apparently according to the global reviews this is not a very good album of theirs

Wow! So inspired! Total art! Wow!!! I mean this so genuinely. This is just such inspired art I'm kind of speechless

I liked it a little at the beginning but it really dragged for me and by the end I was bored out of my skull. It's so boring!!!

God the mixing on this... If I want to hear the vocals I have have my ears blasted out by harmonica! You absolutely *can* tell this was recorded on only one microphone (in a bad way!) Overall it was really good still and I enjoyed it when I wasn't frantically slamming my thumb on the volume down button

This album is so good! I never would have found this outside of this challenge I don't think. The blend with the Punjabi music is so artful and aaahhh I loved it

I liked it more than the other one I gave 4 stars it was pretty good but I may now demote the other one to 3 stars lol

The album cover is giving me the creeps but it's so charming besides that

I really didn't like this and I honestly don't feel like there was anything redeeming about it even if I tried to separate it from my personal tastes

I like this but as usual the shrillness of the harmonica brings it down for me. Like would it kill them to mix it a little lower !! And also I just don't feel like it's his best. It's doing a lot but not much at the same time

Genuinely fire. Felt so relaxed but entertained and stimulated while listening to this. Don't know if I can get behind calling the last track a 20 minute song when really it's like at least 3 pretty distinct songs put together but that's fineeee

I was so close to giving this album a 2 but the last few songs were pretty good and I also read about how this album is named after her mom which I think is sweet....

Very pleasant and fun! No real negatives I like a jam and I like the sound and yeah it's good but I don't think I'll have a craving to listen to it again

Title track is a little overly long imo but overall very very good! The sound is so dynamic and I felt an actual connection to the tracks

Last two songs legit dropped it from a 4 for me .....

Very very fun I like it! That one 10+ minute song did not need to be that long tho

Even though I liked automatic for the people I genuinely think I feel inclinded to give this a lower rating basically because it's the third one we've listened to and I don't feel like I like it enough to tolerate That

I have a feeling this is not the absolute best album but it was still quite good

Couldn't finish - this entire album is dragged down by the insanely flat production. Never in my life have I heard a guitar sound like that! They eq'd everything to make a straight line I stg. I wanted to stop on the first song but I DIDN'T I listened to all but the last 4 songs but what matters is I was brave....

Superb sublime

I LOVE IT!!! It scratches the itch so good and I love the sharp wit and the cohesion and that feeling of a deep love of music. It's so simple and so complex and HEAVENLY!!!

This is a little overly edgy for me and it felt a little underbaked... Both are likely because this is an insanely early punk album so I give it a slight break of course. I didn't hate any of it I just wasn't loving it either

I unfortunately thought this was quite good but the seething brings it down to a 3 in the end

Yeah I mean it is what it is. I expected there to be at least some kind of Finnish stink on it but there isn't so idk man. The title track feels like a parody of itself

I'm ready to admit I didn't really want to listen to this in the first place because uhh Jay Z but then after girls girls girls I literally could not bring myself to continue it gave me the ick so bad and I don't feel bad about it in the slightest

This album is really fucking weird?? It is the most best poetry thing I've ever listened to and like it's cool and all but it was not hitting for me. I feel like this kind of thing is maybe best live for the full vibes
