It is popular to shit on this one, especially for people who don't like radiohead's music. I think it is a lot like some modern art museums I've been to where you can see how thought out the exhibits are, and there are cool techniques at use too, but it's all too miserable and intense at times. I'm not going to hate on a concept album that clearly has an interesting artistic perspective on violence, but about halfway through the moaning and groaning of this one I was considering moving on.

Type of CD you find buried under a bunch of stuff in the glove box.

Smile Like You Mean It is a very special song to me, but this whole album was getting played while I drove around aimlessly in the PNW. Vaguely familiar from early childhood memories but maybe not because I was two when it came out. Reminds me of wasting too much money on gas and getting nothing done outside of looking at pine trees.

I'll listen to this album 100,000 times before I die

Actually listened. Despite it's bullshit presentation it wasn't that bad at all. Still though, one of those that raises several questions about this challenge as a whole. Like I actually explored the rest of the Beta Band stuff and they have way better albums, but even with those I feel like I could ignore them for my whole life and not feel like I am missing out. Probably could be three stars or two stars. Perfectly inoffensive. Actually kind of nice at times. Might dock a star because of the worst cover art I've ever seen. 1001 is a big number.

Wow, what a terrible sounding piece of music. Probably reminds some 60 year old about drinking 1 dollar rolling rocks with his buddies, back when the city was different, the good old days, which is why the rest of us have to listen to it. We don't though. We can turn it off.

some voices should have guided these guys to produce their stuff a bit more
