1001 Albums Summary

This is one of my favorite Zeppelin albums. My son and I recently did a full listen through of their works on a road trip. Immigrant song is classic. This album has no skips for me. Also special as it was released on the day I was born.

Only 1 skip. Heard a lot of Patti smith influence.

After not listening to this for decades. I just like the same 4 songs. The rest are skips. I tried.

I do not usually listen to live albums, but this was amazing. Gave a new perspective to songs I've heard hundreds of times. His voice was raw and gritty. The band was phenomenal. The energy from the croud could be felt through the speakers.

I'm all for listening to experimenal music, this

I have not listened to this since the late 00s. I gave it a fresh chance with matured ears. I liked jigsaw and the reckoner. The rest were meh.

I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. The music and Instrumentals were phenomenal. I am not a fan of Murdochs vocals. I'm giving it a 3. But only for the music/instruments.

I've never heard this before but this trio is epic

Started listening to XTC with skylarking and oranges&lemons. I prefer the faster music (volume 2 of this is actually better) but I loved the music and how his voice almost became an instrument and just flowed seamlessly into the music.

Classic.

As a GenX er I am cliche and this album means so much to me. It honestly changed everything. I had the CD and cassette. No skips. Absolutely epic still .

Classic.

I prefer the outlaw cowboy , but this is fantastic.

Better than I thought but would be. No real new stand out tracks other then cry me a river and rock your body

Brings me back to my 1988 dorm room listening trying to be cool with the edgy upperclassmen. I still cannot get into it. The music is great. But the vocals bother my misophonia.

Breakdown and American girl are on my all time favorites playlists. This was a huge part of my childhood. I did not love the whole album, but with fresh ears, there are new songs that will go on playlists.

Classic. I can still remember the feeling of hearing where is my mind? For the first time on the radio. Amazing

Loved the music. Might be starting to become a fan of chamber pop.

Music was great. The singers voice triggered my misophonia. Couldn't take it.

Not a fan. Tried my best to listen.

It's ok. I am not a fan of the slower work.

Interesting experimental music. It's not bad. He has a great voice.

I can still feel the same relation I felt when I first heard this album. I had the cassette and then the CD. No skips.

Absolute classic in my collection. Many nights in my 20s with this on repeat

My 18 yr old self spent many hours trying to be convinced that this was her best work and I agreed while trying to impress the edgy girls in my dorm. After a listed 49 years later, I am finally understanding what they were saying. While less popular, the album seems like some of her most authentic and artistic pieces.

Absolute classic, this was the first zeppelin album I owned.

Not really my usual listening, but I would have it on as background music

Was listening at work. Relaxing music. It went over to auto play and I went on listening to more of artist for over an hour.

Not my normal type of listening, but it wasn't bad

I owned this cassette and album. Bullet with butterfly wings forever altered my musical tastes. I appreciate this album now after listening with my old ears. Still not a huge fan of the ballads

The music was fantastic. His voice irritated me for some reason.

Nostalgia factor. I would definitely recommend for anyone who loves yacht rock.

Classic. I've seen all good people is amazing.

Loved this

I feel like I need to give this album more time. The music is great. But it's not anything I fell in love with first listen. I might revisit and alter the rating. Cosmonauts was the standout.

Brings me back to the 90s clubs. I've never heard the album in the entirety. I will listen to it again

Nostalgia factor. Still only like first 4 songs.
