I unabashedly like Christmas music and always have. This is a bona fide classic in heavy rotation around the holidays in my house which is beloved by all ages. It's in my top 3 Christmas albums of all time, along with The Vince Guaraldi Trio's "Charlie Brown Christmas," and Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song." I love Phil Spector's big sound and densely layered arrangements. I do not love his personal message at the end of the album however, and I usually scramble to try to skip the track when I hear his creepy little voice come on. Hands down the best Christmas album ever produced by someone who would go on to become a convicted murderer.
I really really really dislike Christmas music, but a lot of classics here and I know it's not bad, but it's a 2 from me dawg.
Great run time, the best that production could be from that time, the songs are classic and the groups are famous. I love how he maintains a uniform style of sound throughout regardless of who is performing the song.
Tough to rate what is technically a sampler as a "normal" album but if looking at the songs individually you have good to great reinditions of classic Christmas songs which help making this album as good for Christmas listening as a Spotify playlist

как можно рождественские альбомы оценивать выше тройки? к чему здесь этот сборник вообще? говоря кратко, больше вопросов чем ответов. песни, безусловно, хороши, исполнение так же на высоте (особенно The Ronettes), но если альбом не послушать, в жизни ничего не изменится.

Nothing to hate here. It's full of great reditions of classic songs. Hard to hate. Nothing truly outstanding but I wouldn't expect there to be from an album put together by Spector.

Not sure why this is here it’s a run of the mill Christmas album. Also getting it on Christmas makes the random aspect sus, unless it’s just holidays?
Classic Christmas album according to my pops
The production is impeccable. Wish I knew about this before Christmas, definitely perfect for the holidays. Special shoutout to the Ronettes. Favorite track: "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus", "Winter Wonderland"
Very 60s-ish. A good thing to listen to on Christmas morning.
So its thing is that it kinda sounds like Pet Sounds but without any edge at all? Add to that that I'm already ambivalent on Christmas music and am listening to this in February. Pretty neat that it's had such an impact on how pop Christmas tunes are arranged. And it does sound nice.
Dude, I'm not about to listen to a Christmas album in almost February. I'm sure it's good. The artists are legendary. So I'll give it a 6.5

THE Christmas album!
I know this album will mean a lot to some people, but when someone is a serial abuser who should have been stopped long before he ended up committing murder, I think we should write them out of musical history. There are plenty of other Christmas albums to listen to instead. Should not be on this list.
