Look. I know the rating should be lower. But I fucking love this album. I love it. Its a no skip album for me. I remember loving it since I was four. So many great tunes. 9/10 F. T. : A tie between Holiday and Are we the Waiting. I can't choose among my children.

7.5/10. Fave track: storms
This is.... Not my cup of tea, exactly. The cacophonies were at times hard to sit through, but I also enjoyed many songs. Not an album I'd frequently listen to, but one I respect. 7/10 F.T.: Cop shoot Cop...
This album is truly a product of its time. Important for its time, no doubt, but in 2021 it sounds so... Dated. Respect it, don't particularly enjoy it. F. T. : Devil's Haircut

Man…..that was kinda creepy 7/10 I don’t really have a fave track. Idk
7.5/10 F.t.: Good times. That baseline, man, that baseline.
When I was 12 I thought it was the greatest rock n roll record ever. Nowadays I consider it a solid 7/10. Fave: Too afraid to love you
My ear normally is at it most blissful when listening to lush, polished pop, but this album struck something deep within me. I wish I could teleport myself to New York City on a snowy day to enjoy it in its full glory. 9/10 Fave: Time or maybe Anywhere I lay my head
I admit I wasn’t thrilled at first but the album won me over through its course. Some really funky beats. 7/10 Fave: wrath of my madness
Skinner is a fucking tool (the character, not the musician). I always feel an uncomfortable Englishness when I listen to the streets (idk how else to describe it) and I’m not sure if I like it but man can this guy create an atmosphere. 7.5/10 Fave: Blinded by the lights
This album honestly blew my mind! The guitar! The melodies! The passion! Discoveries like these are what makes me love this project so much. I have to look this man up. (Also apparently Rod Stewart stole the chorus melody of da ya think I’m sexy from him?! Damn the more you know 8/10 Fave: Xica da Silva
Well, I feel like the album is called Layla etc. for a reason. There’s a lot of uniform lengthy (though high-quality) blues songs, and then, near the end, the centerpiece hits you like a bolt of lightning. The piano part is also amazing. Rest of the album is pretty good, but nowhere near, though I really enjoyed their take on “Little Wing”. 7/10 Fave song: take a wild guess
Idk why but I didn’t really connect with this even though I objectively recognize it’s good. I’ll take gang violence and money brags every day. 6.5/10 F.t: Tennessee
6/10 Fave: sitting on top of the world
Best headache ever. 8/10 Fave: sanctuary
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would 7/10 Fave: Love in an elevator
It’s the same song over and over. But I guess it’s a good song. 6.5/10 Fave:Touch too much
Did not get this sadly. 6/10 Fave: Blue flowers
Felt nice to discover Aimee 6.5/10 Fave: 4th of July
Love that album. It’s so beautiful and dreamy 9/10 Fave: and you and I
Used to listen to this a lot when I was a teen. Still haven’t decided if it’s good but it’s for sure very fun to listen to 7/10 Fave: kiss off
Love this project for discoveries exactly like this one. This album is beautiful and so dreamy 8/10 Fave: Starstruck
This went on a little longer than necessary, but there’s some good songs in there 7/10 Fave: Dirrty
Very interesting and diverse album 6,5/10 Fave: wildfires
This was a delight from start to finish 8/10 Fave: TV Party
Was so unbelievably bored by this 5/10 Fave: Nights Introlude
If this album didn't exist, I would never be able to conceive it. 8.5/10 Fave track: Once in a Lifetime
At certain points I understood what they were trying to do....and then I lost it again. Interesting album but left me with a vague sense of annoyance. 5.5/10 Fave track: Two Doves
Never was really into Korn and only knew Freak on a leash from this album, but it was concise, interesting and very groovy. 7.5/10 Fave track: Got the Life
I'm not really knowledgable about Mambo so I can't judge this quality-wise, but it was an enjoyable listen and the orchestra was also very skillful. 7/10 Fave track: Hong Kong Mambo
I still remember the first time I listened to this album, even though it's been so many years since then. I was 12 years old and dragged by my parents to a family friend's house for Sunday lunch. After eating, it started pouring outside, and we all ran to the living room. My dad's friend put this record on the turntable. I was instantly mystified. I was incredibly socially anxious when I was a teen but I found the courage to ask what was playing. Ever since then, I often listen to that record on a rainy afternoon and feel at peace with myself. 9.5/10 Fave track: Very difficult to choose as I love them all, but I come back to Northern Sky more often.
Although this indie-dance sound of the 00's sounds a bit outdated now, I love it. Makes me feel nostalgic for a time when we felt that everything was going amazing. I only knew Golden Skanks before listening to the entire thing, and I was shocked to discover it is barely in the top 5 best songs of the record. 8/10 Fave track: Gravity's Rainbow
8/10 Fave track: Running free
7.5/10 Fave track: Kick out the jams
7/10 Fave track: Red Headed Stranger
7.5/10 fave: many men
7.5/10 fave: the dark of the matinee
They had us in the first half, not gonna lie. The first half inexplicably annoyed me (5.5/10) and the second half I loved (8/10). 6.75/10, then. Fave track: Time with you
One of these days I swear I'll get Sonic Youth. I'm so close to getting them, I swear. 7/10 Fave track: Silver Rocket
One of Coldplay's most boring albums. 6/10 Fave track: The scientist
7.5/10 fave: marquee moon
7/10 fave: me myself and I
Damn Mike Stipe you ain't slick. 8/10 Fave track: Kingdom of Love
I am sorry to say my useless white ears don't really get reggae. This was an enjoyable listen though. 7/10 Fave track: the invasion
Me reading about the context of this album: :o 7.5/10 Fave track (there's only two): Zombie
8/10 Fave: Scarborough fair
6.5/10 fave: pacific 202
7/10 fave: school
6/10 fave: something for the weekend
Jazz rap!!!!!!!!!!! 8.5/10 Fave track: Check the rhime
Beautiful album, perfect for studying. Only the last 4 songs kind of bored me. 8/10 Fave track: Love's in need of love today
It kind of puts me off when more than half of an album's songs are covers, but California Dreamin' Go where you wanna go and Monday, Monday are enough on their own to elevate this album to a solid 7.5/10. The beautiful harmonies don't hurt either. Fave track: California Dreamin'
Each track is 5 minutes long and for what. Ok to be fair they are good songs, they're just as inoffensive as they come and very repetitive. Makes perfect sense why they're so popular in the US. 7/10 Fave track: Life in the fast lane
To be honest I was kind of bored listening to this. 6.5/10 Fave track: Song 2
Might very well be their best album. Many songs are very repetitive and drag on without reason, but that might be personal taste. 7/10 Fave: Love is blindness
All my friends is a 10/10 track. The rest is pretty good too. 7.5/10 Fave: all my friends
Not one of their masterpieces, but haunting as ever and very good for studying. 7/10 Fave: Life in a glasshouse
This made me write my thesis draft at lightning speed. Thank you Sepultura. 7/10 Fave track: Dead Embryonic Cells
7.5/10 Fave track: Deja Vu
I just cannot believe I had such a gap in my country music knowledge, ignoring the existence of this man. This is some amazing music. 8.5/10 Fave track: Big Iron
Forgot to rate this when I listened to it and now I can't remember what it sounds like. 6?/10 Fave track: Girl from Mars? Only track whose melody I even vaguely recall.
Even a dummy like me that does not always get jazz, gets this. 9/10 Fave track: Psalm
7.5/10 Fave track: Duncan
This is excellent video game music. 7.5/10 Fave track: Wos
This is the album that first got me into harder rock music, therefore it will always have a special place in my heart. I am aware it is not perfect, but for this reason I can't give it anything less than a 9/10. Fave track: Paradise City? It's so easy? IDK.
I prefer my metal more atmospheric, but this album is good. Still, the instrumentation is, in my ears, the sonic equivalent of a dry cracker going down your throat. 6.5/10 Fave track: Liberate
Does not compare to If I should fall from grace with God, but still very pleasant. 6.5/10 Fave: Sally McLennane
This entire album is basically variations of the same song, but it's a damn good song 7/10 Fave track: Come get to this
This is premium ass-shaking music 7.5/10 Fave track: With our love
7.5/10 Fave track: Matty Groves
This was one of the most interesting discoveries I made through this project. Idk what reason a Swiss person would have to sound this angry, but I support it. 7/10 Fave track: Longue route
8/10 Fave track: Flamenco sketches
8.5/10 Fave track: Guillotine
Don't you just love it when Siouxsie keeps repeating that one phrase while the guitar is ripping. 7.5/10 Fave track: Spellbound
Did not know them and I was pleasantly surprised 7/10 Fave: the once over twice
7.5/10 Fave track: concrete jungle
Only knew the first two tracks, but this album is cohesive, soothing and poetic. 8/10 Fave: fast car or for my lover
Last time I listened to this album (when I was 16) I kinda forced myself to like it, but now it awoke something within me. I adored it from start to finish. 8/10 Fave track: Debaser
7/10 Fave track: working class hero
7.5/10 Fave track: Dazed and confused
7.5/10 Fave track: Breaking the law
7/10 Fave track: Love to the people
7/10 Fave: Samba pa ti
7/10 fave: somebody told me
6/10 fave: hold on
6.5/10 fave: desire lines
7/10 fave: the first taste
6/10 fave: the girl from Ipanema
a pure sonic orgasm 8/10 fave: superunknown
7.5/10 fave: faith
A goddamn masterpiece 8.5/10 fave: epitaph
While I liked it, no song quite impressed me. I'm also not a big fan of the reggae-inspired rhythms. 7/10 fave: message in a bottle
7.5/10 Fave treack: Goya Soda
Goddamn it we get Frank. This fine lady has stolen your poor old heart, yadda yadda. Any of those songs in isolation is a pleasant, wholesome listen. All of them together are a repetitive monotonous croonfest. This is a collection of songs more than a cohesive album. 7/10 Fave: I've got you under my skin
My ultimate rainy day record. Lauryn was just so talented man. 8.5/10 Fave track: Fu-gee-la
When I was little a couple of these songs were used in washing machine commercials and I unfortunately can't listen to this album without visualizing squeaky clean plates and gleaming pipes. Other than that it's uhhh pleasant sounding and inoffensive. Perfect as retro coffee shop background music. Fave track: Santa Maria
7/10 Fave track: New York city Song
7.5/10 Fave: Paris 1919
How did I not know about River Lea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8/10 Fave: When we were young
Had a hard time listening to this bc it’s not on Spotify and the YouTube clips are microwave quality, but man!!! What an amazing sound! This is what indie should strive to be Fave: Up against the wall
Very fun and pleasant album 7.5/10 Fav: cornbread moon
What do you have to say for yourselves, Hooverphonic? Fave: Hyperbolicsyllablesesquedalmistic
Quite literally the album that got me into music at the age of 10. I can’t be objective about it, but if not for “the girl is mine” it’d be a 10/10 for me. It’s still a solid 9/10. Will there be anyone like MJ again? Fave: Billie Jean is probably the best pop track in the history of music but IDK, I have a soft spot for the mamasemamasamamacoosas of wanna be startin’ something.
