Simply no
What a classic album. Their first, legendary. Eruption is a true form guitar solo turned song.
Laguna Sunrise is perhaps one of the best non-lyrical rock song ever. Changes is a force. This album is a riot!
R&B was never the same after Aretha. Classic songs on this album still important today.

This is actually a very funny album with some real guitar riffs/rock accents.
The man the myth the legend. Chills the entirety of the album. Hurt is the biggie but in my life is tremendous as is desperado
This was a fun album but didn’t have the charm I was expecting
Respect, but it was hard to get through the album in this non modern style
The 90s are alive in 2003. Maps is a classic
Music was there, just not my taste
Untalented people learned what a sitar was, and for some reason recorded an album
A perfect album
Mellow rock started here. The warm smell of colitas, rising through the air. The Eagles have the highest selling ‘best of’ album because of their steady even flow of songs. They can also rock out, as evidenced by Victim of Love. Glenn Frye has a smooth voice and Joe Walsh can slam the guitar. In a world of British rock, the American Eagles stand out.
R&B was never the same after Aretha. Classic songs on this album still important today.
Talented guys. Manic sound
The forefront of the new wave of pop punk that hoisted up The Ramones, The Clash, etc. fun ska
Talented guy but boring record. Don’t quite understand it’s legacy appeal.
Some of his classics and a very Bowie Beatles cover is on this album. He’s a legend for a reason
Very 90’s. She has a great voice and Criminal is a hit.
I ended up listening to 5 hours of Miles Davis. Smooth music
70s bop
Vocal harmonies abound in this very 60s sound. California Dreamin’ is a classic
Very talented guy! The exorcist theme is so much cooler now!
Old school for 1958 but good background music.
Snoozefest. Bring back 70s ABBA
I felt as if I was transported back to ancient times.
Some good ones but something felt lacking. Like this was a b sides album.
Smooth
Great and smooth background music
Early punk is good punk
And you may ask yourself, what is this beautiful house? It’s this album!
REM was the great counterbalance to grunge. Still feels very 90s and relatable today.
Hardcore punk rock is a lot to take. But it gets the job done!
Terrbile, just terrible
Not really feeling this one.
Very fun background music. Didn’t even realize the album ended!
Very good jazzy background music
The Pretenders are boldly 80s and it shows!
I really feel an influence from The Beach Boys/early Southern California rock. But I also hear the beginnings of the pop punk era. Well done and some classics. Although I can do without ‘turn blue’ lol
Johnny is a legend. I’ve never heard of anyone else playing a prison let alone several. This isn’t Folsom but it’s great to hear him rile the inmates. This is the type of country I can get behind.
Not the best versions of these Christmas songs.
Willie is a crooner. Georgia on my Mind cover is fantastic. This was an easy great listen.
Classic New Wave. Curt Smith is an 80s god. Classic songs too.
Probably revolutionary in 1992
Smooth listening
Usually hits are stuffed in the middle of an album but this album starts with ‘like a rolling stone.’ Impressive. We’ve spoken about this before but this is almost rap.
Lou Reed is a great musician but not really a big fan of this sound.
Started off funky then once we got to the Bruce cover downhill from there
Boring
Mot as good as the other one.
Not feelin it
Early Timbaland and Missy. Some of the greats.
Nas was 19 when he wrote this album - the talent. This was the beginning of east coast rap as it is today. Thank you Nas! Side note, I saw him play most of this album at Gov Ball in 2013.
Nothing special
You can’t go wrong with Led Zeppelin. LZ score: 3
This album is the culmination and the reason music exists. It’s so raw and pure. We all owe much credit to Muddy Waters and his contemporaries for this earliest version of rock and roll.
In their second album, we can see the gears turning and the ‘pop’ easing up!
Fun album.
They wailed lol! Also yesterday was a great day for an exodus
It’s not perfect and slow at parts but this is a standout in 90s hip hop/r&b
Chill
I mean cmon! Beatles scale: 4.7
Not my thing but not terrible music
Not as good as Fever to Tell
It wasn’t bad but also wasn’t memorable for me.
Good outing. Steely Dan’s vibe is perfect for a Friday.
Wasn’t the best talking heads album but psycho killer is a great song
Not good
Bad comapany...til the day I dieeeee
I just really enjoyed this album.
The Weight has such weight in the rock world. This is a good album
Just classic rock
New form of poetry. Chuck D is a rap god
Oasis is the height of 90s British rock
Jazzy
Authentic sound, fun listen
Not Chicago’s best but an interesting no vocal sound
4 stars for the 40 seconds he ya-hewed!
Couldn’t get through
Some great metal riffs!
I only knew Respect on the album but you always gotta show respect to the queen of soul
Pivotal
Classic song after classic song after classic song
Not great not terrible, extra star for the nip
We salute you back!
This album is high energy and has some of the great ZZ Top songs
What a classic album. Their first, legendary. Eruption is a true form guitar solo turned song.
Not absolutely terrible. Very funny track titles and they got us good.
Because of the ‘don’t you want me’ this album transcends decades. But every other song is bad.
Modern classic and wake up is legend. Hell of a first album.
Alt sound to the 80s. Blister in the sun and go daddy go are great
Solid album, funky grooves.
Marley Putt Drive was a semi bright spot in a dull album.
Did not like this at all
A lot of stuff happening on this album but the ‘heard it through the grapevine’ cover was well done
Not all old music is sustainable.
It would have been fun to see this live, but for the album I’m looking for a little more connectivity
Great composition, not digging much else
This definitely was a prelude to the 80s. Not terrible not great
Common has flow but didn’t love the album
Basically became background music
Very good
Not a fan
This dude was ahead of his time. Better musical poetry than most
Classic 90s
This album was almost a new one for me! It’s woven genres is really cool. I’ll give this an RS 4.9
Preachy but the rising (song) is a classic
Hank Williams did it in the 50s, emmylou Harris in the 70s
Nostalgia! Take me out was huge
This was a fun listen and a cool English punk/80s vibe
Story telling come to life. Rockin sound
Not my thing
The riffs, the metal. It had me
Lazy 80s
Creepy
Not as prolific of an album I’d thought it would be but Ray can still knock em down
It was fine
It really holds up. Maybe because it’s 30 years later but it doesn’t sound so innovative today
This was a really fun album and I loved the I got you babe cover
This was groovin and the just my imagination cover was good
I didn’t think this was anything special
Not an easy listen, that’s for sure
Unlistenable
Solid Trash
Too many skits - wasn’t as good as I thought it would be
A lot of classics on this album
Not bad. I felt the songs were missing hooks.
Not my jam
True grit
Not bad, some cool sounds
Paper planes IS Pineapple Express but this album is just noise
There was a lot going on. I think Sufjan got better with age
Definitely a lot of influence from the Beatles on this one
They are good. Too short of an album!
Most of the album was good chill vibes.
What came first? Gillian Welch or Lilith Fair?
Great album with great classics
Not a fan of this. If we’re looking at an evolutionary tree for punk rock, this is a different branch that went extinct
It was a bit less put together than I thought it would be
The music backing in early rap days is no joke. Samples used to this day
Not great
Boring
A chore to listen to
Strange album
Vanilla
Legenedary, wooooo [little Richard voice]
Classic pixies and where is my mind is a legendary song
The 90s were too good for this shit
Hard to get through to be honest
I missed the bittersweet symphony
It’s like a story book opera. Leonard Cohen is one of a kind
It was nice, pseudo psychedelic album
Not good by any means.
Couldn’t get in
Another album tough to get through
Some ok stuff
At the time I’m sure this must’ve been compared to The Beatles but it holds up
This was fun. Their beats would do well at coachella
Smooth
Not really my thing at all. Very whiney and weird
Good album but none of the true FMac classics
This was a lot of fun
Only a few original songs on this album but good covers too
Not what I was expecting by the album title and band name! But this is run of the mill 80s.
Shaft!
Not as electric as the Newport album
A masterpiece
Cult of personality!
I’m pretty sure the black panther score samples this
U2 is the worst thing to happen to music - and I still have that other albums on my iTunes 😂
Nearly perfect, and breakdown and American girl are huge. American girl is one of the best songs of all time. But the rest of the album hasn’t lasted in perpetuity in the same way.
Certified 5 star song writing
Pivotal moment in alt rock into the 00’s. Drive is a classic
Metal is a lot of fun and rust in peace is peak.
Laguna Sunrise is perhaps one of the best non-lyrical rock song ever. Changes is a force. This album is a riot!
Interesting to say the least
The worst of the 80s
Drive is a classic but this was a bit lackluster
Not feelin it
So so album
I don’t know what this was but +1 star for the cover album
Not really sure what this was
Classssssic
2 classics but the rest were alright
Legendary. Let’s stay together is a top 50 American song.
Doesn’t get much better than this.
This was actually a lot of fun!
Another fun album
The worst clash of emo, heavy metal and 80s
Work it is peak early 00’s. Although not every a song is famous, it’s a lot of fun. Luda/Gossip talks is underrated
This is ahead of its time and the apt evolution of pop music skewing away from rock. It’s sad in retrospect but these beats are the start of edm.
In retrospect this is nothing special and the volume is weird on this. But it probably was more influential in real time.
Concept album for sure. But I’ve seen all good people is a hit in its own right.
Not the jazz that I can listen to
Not good.
Everybody’s talkin was the single for Midnigjt Cowboy but the rest of the album fell flat
It started off a little weird but ended up being good background music
Metal meets grunge!
Nom remarkable in anyway. Not sure why it’s on this list
RIP to a legend. What a classic album
Certified 5 stars. RIP to the goat

Three singles that made up college
Not good at all
This was a riot!
Hungry like the wolf saves the album
Ziggy is out of this world
Weird concept album but some good licks
Noise. But that one mean girls song is cool lol
One of the GOATS
Something special about David Lee Roth + Eddie Van Halen
The 90s are alive. Lovefool is on every 90z playlist. Iron Man cover is pretty cool. Otherwise, not bad
Fun album
A lot of fun, good background
In retrospect, not as good as I remember, despite So Fresh, So Clean, BoB and Ms. Jackson.
No brainer. For one album to have all these great songs, some of the best ever written, recorded etc is insane. Incredible. Can I give more than 5 stars?
Un-listenable
Not their strongest outing but still fun and some classics
Fun time for background music
Not my favorite
Really good background music
Not bad not great, they emulated the Beatles a lot
Yes! Roundabout
Nothing special really
All the young dudes! This song isn’t on this album but ya feel it still
Everything you’d want from a punk album
Real weird
No just no
I can see why she’s a legend
Like aldous snow but winier. FUCKING ROBBIE WILLIAMS
Pretty good. I liked the jazzy flair at parts
Perhaps the best first album of all time. Each one is a classic in its on right. I’ve listened to this album so much without realizing it was the first bc it’s so well thought out and just a perfect reflection of LZ
Not a big fan but can’t deny the talent
This album is important but there are some duds
Badlands, Darkness on the edge of town, etc. Bruce is the boss
Weird. They really like the weather lol
Not as good as he is with the stooges. Tiny Girls had a cool horn beat
Fun kind of rap
Weeeeeeird
Not bad at all
This is is the pantheon of great albums
Not bad, if not repetitive
Fun album - good genre
Wild ride
Not bad not bad
Not a lot but these beats are much covered

Not really into it but big
Just alright
It’s hard to top the doors
Yacht Rock’s numero uno
Odd transitions, and regurgitated lyrics but as an early metal album it sets the stage
Nothing special at all
Meh
Not bad not bad
One of the greatest concept albums. What is the meaning of the wall!
Exactly what I want from early punk
Snoozefest
Barely an album but we’ve heard worse
They’re BACK in the saddle againnnnn
Fogerty can really put an album together. So many classics, so much grit.
The King, the Legend. Although I was thrown off by the full on sex sounds - I guess I always skipped that lol
Sorta garbage
Not my thing really
Fun British rap
Karma Police saved this otherwise middling album
I liked this album, but I do think it was missing something
Life on Mars? and Changes brought in the 5 stars
Superstition is one of the best songs and you are the sunshine of my life is a classic but the rest of the album fell flat
A lot goin on but some great licks
Somber
Talking heads for a new generation
Even if I did think that one song was a Jack Johnson song, still a top notch album
Some classics, a little slow
Post shuffle better than the album
Best of the best of punk
Carole King wannabe
What happened to the Gallaghers but thank god they do what they do
Wild world is a classic but I’m not much into cat Stevens
More new wave than soul but it wasn’t terrible

Not their absolute best but still some great tunes
Typical 90s alt
Unmemorable
Early light heavy metal?
Mumbo jumbo
Respect but this was a tough listen
GOAT
Honestly didn’t enjoy this at all
Heroes but then kinda boring with everything else
Good but not great for the time period
Boomer moms rejoice!
A little loosey goosey/less guitar driven but still good. I shot the sheriff!

Where is Erykah Badu at? Who dat? Actually this album was better than expected and good background music.

A very bland album
I mean, Prince is a music legend who also turned his name into a symbol
Fiiiiiiiire

I really enjoyed this
This is so quintessential 90s. Time machines are real
Really just don’t get the appeal here
Pretty great
Yacht rock to the fullest
Unsettling
Melodious yet shrill
