One of the best hip hop albums on this list. The game show stuff was a really fun theme throughout. Great lyrics, samples, and beats. Plus Q-tip!

This album is why I do this project! What a find! Super solid early post-punk with strong vocals and killer riffs. I'm all about it.
Dope. Get it on YouTube definitely worth it
Even though I couldn't understand the lyrics I still understood the music. Great stuff.
Great album, the intro songs kicks strong. Solid instrumentals then wraps up crisp without overstaying it's welcome. War is a lot more than just low rider.

Classic hip hop
One of the best.
Good dance music. Funky.
Solid early punk sounds
Really good electronic
Sweet old school, heavy rock.
Great early punk
Very sultry music about an underage romance. Very evocative.
Best thrash metal I've ever heard
Good break up songs
An epic saga
Good mellow electronic
Meh except for one song
Love songs
Bangers!
false
Time to get ill
Some catchy love and heart-break songs
Really fun stuff I've never heard before
Sweet chill vibes
Fun diverse album
Rugged album
Solid dance jams
First 2 songs kill it but the rest of the album doesn't maintain the same energy. Lots of shock value in the content of the songs though i.e.sex dwarf.
Bluesy and full of great songs from start to finish
Solid punk
No one has a voice like Tom waits. Solid album not as rough around the edges as bone machine. Favorite tracks: Downtown, Til the Money runs out
Solid album
This album surprised me. Very much an introspection into the stereotypes of the south and the " the duality of the southern thing." Thoughtful lyrics and some good jams too.
Fantastic album from start to finish.
Meh
Great lyrics and the songs outside of the hits were really good.
started strong, then got real weird
Great chill or work music
Deliciously creamy jams
Awesome chill beats
Fun!
Very interesting album if you're going for the crime movie vibe. Otherwise doesn't quite fit.
So flippin good
A great album that made me realize I really enjoy African music.
"Like a donkey kick to the head" wakes you up on long drive. Towards the end the song blur together.
Really enjoyed listening to this riding on a train through the west.
The intro theme song is a jam
Good classic Christmas songs
Great diverse album
Quirky album. I dig it.
Love the 1st song, reminds me of all the pure elation of running out of school and jumping into a summer of possibility. Sadly, the rest of the album didn't quite hit the same mark.
What a beautiful voice
Even though I couldn't understand the lyrics I still understood the music. Great stuff.
The progression of this album as an entire piece I found really interesting and cohesive. I'm not sure if I need to listen again but I enjoyed it in the moment.
Funky delicious jams. All about it
The songs that were overplayed on every indie radio station a decade ago. The music is pretty good but gahh have I heard it too much.
Some wild lyrics
Pretty weird. Decent to have on in the background while working though.
Sweet tunes
Good love songs to walk on beach to.
All over the place some of it liked some I wasn't so fond of but this was definitely a ride.
Love this album
Fantastic piece of music. Wow.
Amazing voice and powerful lyrics speaking to issues and perspectives that aren't common in popular music.
My favorite Beatles album. A classic.
Wonderful flow to this album going through the elation of a new relationship, falling in love and heartbreak. Then getting back on the horse. Great stuff.
The redneck rap rock album that I am kinda ashamed to say I get down with some of it. Damn it kid just pick up the phone and never autotune a ballad again. Stick to rapping over guitar about getting laid and doing drugs, definitely not the peak of music. But pretty fun for some of it.
Yeah, Hotel California is the peak of this album. It goes on a steady slide down from there.
easy listening
I think this is my favorite album of all time.
This could be a great album of it wasn't such a freaking marathon that blends together by the end. There's some good stuff in here but nothing that really puts it over the edge for me.
fucking rips
This is the album and artist all reggae try to live up to. Pretty easy 5 stars when it defines a genre.
2.5- after the start of 3000 the rest of the album devolves into too many doctor sex songs then completely loosing my at the song about the shark alligator man
Powerful playing but personally the vocal style isn't for me
Pretty good
Love me some CCR
Let's rage
Good chill vibes
Nice
Easy listening while bopping around the house.
Dark and sad. Probably a good album to put on when mourning the loss of someone close .
This album is why I do this project! What a find! Super solid early post-punk with strong vocals and killer riffs. I'm all about it.
Some britpop I actually kinda liked- big surprise.
Sweet beats. Wish I knew French just to get the lyrics of this album
One of the best hip hop albums on this list. The game show stuff was a really fun theme throughout. Great lyrics, samples, and beats. Plus Q-tip!
Solid album
Not a big of songs about murder
3.5 some song feel like they don't belong, the album absolutely over stays it's welcome. But they do a great job of giving the feeling of being in space for most of it. If I was on shrooms this would probably be 5 stars.
Genre bending album that kicks
Some good songs black star was a better later Bowie album imo
U2 sucks, fuck bono
The album is epic. One I can listen to over and over and still find it interesting. Love the toned back detached sound.
3 stars for the music, adding the other for the cultural significance
Not sure I like Jazz that much
Fun salsa! I can definitely see why this has sold so much. What a great album, makes me get out of me seat and want to dance the night away!
Break up song queen
3.5, 4 stars for smoke on the water
Starts really strong, ends up pretty middling
Good for getting mediative in the airport amongst all the chaos
The start was extremely strong but the tail end of the album blended together
I see what they were doing and its value to the world of music as a whole. Punk jazz does seem like it'd be cool. Honestly though it sounded like 40 minutes of a raccoon playing on a trash can lid.
Definitely the best Costello album on this list, and there is too many. In my opinion this one and this year's model would be enough. With that said, this is a fantastic debut album that keeps you on your toes and your foot tapping.
Dope dance tracks
Willy at his best. Singing those sweet tunes that just make you happy.
Way too many blur and blur adjacent albums on this list. Some good songs but so much of it blurred together.
Every songs starts in way I should like but then devolved into lyrics that degrade woman and Buckley making incoherent yells and sounds. Very weird.
Wanted to like it but it goes on forever and blends together
I really enjoyed having this on in the background. Extremely pleasant.
Beautiful
Happy when it was over
Sweet sexy tunes
Crisp and dynamic album. I enjoyed this much more than I expected.
Really liked this one. Great diversity in lyrics and sounds.
These days is a fantastic song, everything else didn't do it for me.
Fun low key vibes
You can tell through the album that they would be tons of fun live and bring all the energy. Solid.
YESSSS
Jamming post punk. A good time all the way through.
Old man's back again is such a dope song, the rest of the album doesn't hit quite the same but still solid
Pretty solid electronic, was not expecting it.
Fucking great!
Weird, but I liked it.
Really good live album
Bruce is a good songwriter. I don't like his voice or the way the songs are composed. You can barely hear him and all the instruments are trying to do too much. Blah.
Soo many hits. This album slaps
Is this a cult? Because I'll sign up.
Honestly not bad. Knocked a star off because the album is wayyy too long, could easily have been cut in half without losing anything though. Every first 30sec or so feels like it could be the intro to a late 90s/early 2000s sitcom. Tough to decipher the lyrics but I'd listen again (to half) because I feel like their could be more nuance and depth to this than can be found on a single listen.
It hits too real
really into this
Boring
Why more Morrissey????
Pretty good! Haven't listened to them before and happy I did
Kind of weird use of electric sounds on some songs- but I generally liked it.
Everything after going down in the elevator is blah
Really solid music- felt like I was on a journey.
Good
Not the best Floyd
It took me over a year to get to this album. The name and cover art were just off-putting and I thought it was going to be a scream fest. Glad to say I was extremely surprised. I've never listened to anything like it and it takes you on a genuine journey. Glad it's on the list.
Rolling in classics. Always hits just right.
Great love album, some of the most iconic classic rock jams right here
Nice background music for a 4am morning in the cold on a full moon night
3.5
Great now I know what it would be like if Sleaford Mods was a sad boy band. Rubbish.
Great album, the intro songs kicks strong. Solid instrumentals then wraps up crisp without overstaying it's welcome. War is a lot more than just low rider.
early pysch rock with some super solid jams.
This album shreds in all the best ways.
Puke
Hard to say it isn't good when I know every song
A wonderful album to have on in the background and be surprised by throughout an afternoon. Talk about value! 3 full hours of Ella Fitzgerald through the highs and lows. I bet in the 50's this series of albums was sought after due to the spectrum of musical moods that the album touches and the wonderful performances Ella continues to put forth with delightful instrumental work. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Eddie Vedder mumbling and heavy grunge riffs in all their glory. Prime pearl jam. The whole album is solid more so than I expected.
Punchy. I want some fudge now.
last one!
Solid. Let's do it again 🤠
Chill instrumental. Good for studying.
I need to give this one more listens to dive into the narrative they are building, but other that some solid bars and beats.
Soo many bonus tracks. A lot of really good stuff though.
Those Aussies can kick it
Solid funk jams
Solid fall bike ride album. Got pretty close to tears on few songs, maybe I just need a therapist. 4/5
like
Solid spacey study tracks
Solid spacey study tracks
Weird, but the kind of weird that if you keep listening it pulls you in. Probably won't listen again
This album creates a character and makes your gut wrench for him. The poor dumb, deaf and blind kid gets abused and taken advantage of. Then it makes you realize he is more than sum of his circumstances. He's mother f*ckin pinball wizard. The best rock opera on this list.
Yep. Dis Good. More good please.
Really fun
I had very expectations for this album, but it exceeded them. I wasn't ready for the diversity of styles it brought. Some really fun surprise packed in here.
Very industrial, but honestly not as bad as I expected
Dope. Get it on YouTube definitely worth it
If you want to feel the mania and anxiety of getting to an airport with an extra long security line as time clicks away and you ponder your meaning in this fickle world this album is just for you. For everyone just ignore this garage.
Joanna's unique sound makes this album worth a relisten on a cool fall or winter's day. I think it goes a bit long though.
It's honestly hard to rate this album because all but a few songs are engrained within American culture. With that said the album brings some outrageous guitar and showcases all of that made Jimi Hendrix. I'm all about it. I would love to have heard the energy of the album on release.
album full of bangers, that left me wanting more
Listened to about half of and realized it was 2 hours long. Liked what I heard but jeeze.
Surreal and beautiful
Had very low expectations based on the album art and name of the guy but some of the songs were undeniably groovy and got me dancing in the kitchen. Nothing transcendent but there's good stuff here.
Such smooth music
So many classic songs
Low key, vibing at home getting shit done kind of tunes. Dig
My favorite bjork album on the list. She gets really out there
I literally listened to this album on repeat all day. It did not get old. She has amazing vocal range and diversity in the music she makes. Honestly really good.
Pretty solid heavy stuff
