Yo I'm so happy this album made it onto the list, I love Thundercat and this whole generation of young and talented hip hop/funk/soul infused Jazz musicians surrounding him. He doesn't take himself too seriously, it's fun, it's groovy and it is a very enjoyable listen, for me at least

Ich schreibe auf deutsch um meine wortgewandheit in meiner Muttersprache ein bisschen zu steigern. Ich habe zuvor noch nie von der Band oder dem Album gehört, aber war vom ersten Song an gefesselt. Der opener La femme d'argent hat mir besonders gut gefallen, genauso wie die nachfolgenden Stücke. Am Ende litt meine Hörerfahrumg wohl ein wenig an meiner kurzen Aufmerksamkeitsspanne und dem meinem Alltagsstress, dennoch ein sehr schönes erstes Album, sehr entspannend, einfach sehr cool. Ich liebe das Konzept dieser Webseite, ohne sie wäre dieses Juwel mit Sicherheit an mir vorbeigegangen.

Ich bin ehrlich, hiervor war 'where is my mind' der einzige pixies Song, den ich je bewusst gehört habe. Dies war eine gute Möglichkeit, dieses Loch ein bisschen zu stopfen. Ich hab drei Songs gebraucht um reinzukommen, aber ab velouria hatte mich das Album. Letzteres, Is she weird, Ana und the happening sind meine Favoriten

Ich ziehe es bossa nova vor, welches ich gestern gehört habe, werde aber trotzdem nur 4 Sterne geben, weil einige Songs dabei waren, die nicht hängengeblieben sind. Dennoch geiles Alben, Tame, Here comes your man, monkey gone to heaven und Hey sind meine faves und könnten alle nicht unterschiedlicher klingen hahaha

Ich habe gerade nach 10 Tagen work am Stück einfach nicht mehr die Energie jeden Songs bis ins kleinste Detail zu analysieren. Die Singles sind geil, Shout ist geil, everybody wants to rule the world ist geil und jetzt kenn ich endlich den interpreten davon haha, Head over heels auch geil und listen klingt gerade ziemlich nice. Sehr coole 80s synths sounds auf der Platte ok bye next

Schön zu sehen, dass einige Leute Spaß an dem Album haben. Für mich ist es leider, auch nach mehrmaligem Hören, eher unterwältigend. Ich musste es mehrfach hören, weil ich direkt nach dem Hören wieder vergessen habe, was ich gerade gehört habe. Meh.

Beim ersten Hören hat es mich überhaupt nicht erreicht. Beim zweiten Durchgang allerdings war es schon deutlich zugänglicher, nachdem ich wusste worauf ich mich einlasse. Und wer weiß, wenn ich es in ein paar Wochen, Monaten, Jahren höre, würde ich ihm vielleicht sogar 4 oder 5 Sterne geben, zunächst bleibe ich aber bei 3.
