Popular Reviews

Fine music, but I don't really vibe with it. I think it's a little too mellowed out, and flat. It doesn't really do it for me.

Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon

Not really for me, I don't particularly care for the voice of the singer and the music falls a little flat.

OK Computer by Radiohead

Some absolute bangers, but ultimately not even close to my favorite radiohead album.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Mar 01 2023

Some incredible production, great rhymes, but the album does tend to get a bit repetitive. Good vibes, but overstays its welcome for me.

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Mar 02 2023

Incredible musical talent, but it just doesn't stay with me. Some absolute bangers, but most of the album just fades into the background. Not abrasive or harsh in the slightest, but that also means it goes down without a second thought. Great licks, great tunes, absolutely gorgeous singing, but it ironically lacks some oomph.

Mar 03 2023

I can recognize that there is some incredible craftsmanship in the songs on this album. Xtal didn't really do it for me, but "Tha" is incredible. I think the songs that do more with less work best for my own sensibilities in this particular genre. The beats are incredible though, very good. Pulsewidth has incredible moments, but some lulls stop it from being great. Heliospan has some incredible sections, but also doesn't really manage to stick the landing for me. Overall, good stuff, but not for me.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Mar 04 2023

I enjoy some Depeche Mode, but for the most part it just doesn't appeal to me. Some good songs, but ultimately I don't really care for the album.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Mar 05 2023

My Sweet Lord and What Is Life make this album automatically a banger. The rest of the album is pretty good, but those two songs are just incredible.

Play by Moby
Mar 06 2023

Great production, some real good songs. A bit repetitive.

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Mar 08 2023

Pretty damn good listen, very enjoyable tunes. Just overall really nice.

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 13 2023

Pretty good album, a bit repetitive, but Born To Run is an amazing song.

Suede by Suede
Mar 17 2023

Pretty good stuff. Very good composition, love the voice. I need to be in a specific kind of mood for this kind of music though.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Mar 18 2023

Loved this album. Most of these songs were amazing, and the ones that I didn't really vibe with I could still enjoy enough.

Forever Changes by Love
Mar 19 2023

Some great songs. Fantastic composition, really enjoyed the vibe. Didn't stick with me too much, though.

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Mar 26 2023

Amazing. Wonderful energy, great composition. Well constructed and with a powerful message.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Mar 28 2023

Listened to this too much already, favorite Led Zeppelin album. 10/10

The United States Of America by The United States Of America
Apr 03 2023

Very interesting album, really enjoyed the listen, but have a hard time identifying individual songs that stuck with me. Well produced and well crafted.

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Apr 05 2023

Good music, not really feeling it currently though.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Apr 07 2023

Great album, incredible disco music.

Apr 08 2023

Fine music, but I don't really vibe with it. I think it's a little too mellowed out, and flat. It doesn't really do it for me.

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Apr 09 2023

Pretty good, enjoyable.

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Apr 15 2023

Familiar with it, pretty good album

Pyromania by Def Leppard
Apr 17 2023

Passable hair rock, nothing amazing.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Apr 18 2023

Two incredible songs surrounded by some pretty decent but ultimately forgettable material. The album lacks variety in a way that I know the Beach Boys are capable of, and the recording quality leaves some things to be desired.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Apr 23 2023

Good music, but not my favorite Bowie album.

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren
Apr 24 2023

Very cool, extremely experimental album. Some real good songs, some duds - but always surprising.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Apr 25 2023

Pretty damn great.

Coles Corner by Richard Hawley
Apr 26 2023

Pretty damn good. Great music, some lulls, but overall lovely music.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Apr 27 2023

Pretty good, but it just reminds me of how incredible Rumours is. Makes me want to listen to that album over this one.

Shalimar by Rahul Dev Burman
Apr 28 2023

Decent music, absolutely not for me.

GI by Germs
May 01 2023

Sick album, love the vibes.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
May 02 2023

Mr. Brightside is great, the rest of the album is serviceable.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
May 03 2023

Love this album.

Revolver by Beatles
May 04 2023

One of the best Beatles albums, great songs cover to cover. Even the weaker ones are incredible.

Aha Shake Heartbreak by Kings of Leon
May 06 2023

Not really for me, I don't particularly care for the voice of the singer and the music falls a little flat.

Hms Fable by Shack
May 07 2023

It's alright. Nothing crazy interesting, but competent music.

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
May 08 2023

It's alright, but it's a little bland and forgettable.

Phrenology by The Roots
May 09 2023

Really well produced and creative album, loved it.

The Real Thing by Faith No More
May 11 2023

Decent album, great cover of War Pigs. I don't really enjoy the singer's voice.

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
May 12 2023

Sick music, but a bit too noisy for my tastes. I did enjoy it more than I expected.

Sweet Baby James by James Taylor
May 13 2023

It's fine, absolutely not my type of music. A lot of the songs follow a similar structure and sound very similar.

Quiet Life by Japan
May 17 2023

It's pretty good synth-pop. I enjoyed it, but nothing special.

Who's Next by The Who
May 19 2023

One of my favorites. Almost every single song on this album is a banger.

Odelay by Beck
May 27 2023

Pretty decent album. I like the general vibe but not really getting into the songs too much.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
May 29 2023

One of the best to ever do it. Fantastic album.

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Jun 04 2023

I like some Animal Collective but this album was a bit too abrasive and repetitive for my tastes.

Aja by Steely Dan
Jun 06 2023

Just an absolute delight of an album. This is my kind of music.

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Jun 07 2023

Pretty good. The sound is a bit too dirty for my tastes, but very solid stuff.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Jun 09 2023

Just a fantastic set of songs that is captivating until the end. Some of Pink Floyd's best post Syd Barrett.

The Band by The Band
Jun 17 2023

It's alright

The Blueprint by JAY Z
Jun 18 2023

Don't really care for the production on this album.

Dummy by Portishead
Jun 20 2023
Damaged by Black Flag
Jun 21 2023

This is my fucking jam.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Jul 01 2023

Certainly not Radiohead at their best, but a compelling album nonetheless. Some fantastic tracks that really managed to capture my attention, some less than stellar ones that kept me from enjoying this album to the fullest extent. Still a great effort by the band.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
May 20 2025

I just don't care for Talking Heads. I don't get it.

OK Computer by Radiohead
May 22 2025

Some absolute bangers, but ultimately not even close to my favorite radiohead album.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
May 24 2025

I'm really not a fan of the extremely fuzzy and blown out recording quality of the album. I find that the songs all sound very similar in style and substance to me, both in lyrical content and in actual melodies and rhythm. I would prefer to listen to any Nirvana album over this ten times out of ten. I don't mean to disregard the value of this album to Dave, but it's certainly not for me.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
May 25 2025

It's good, it's Johnny Cash. I like how human this album feels.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
May 27 2025

It's fine.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
May 28 2025

It's fine. Doolittle is better.

Face to Face by The Kinks
May 30 2025

It's good, but it's not close to their Arthur album.

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jun 01 2025

Pretty damn great.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Jun 02 2025

Very good debut, strong songs with some definite standouts and a couple of weaker ones.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Jun 03 2025

I prefer It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold us Back, but this is still a great fucking album.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Jun 05 2025

Just a really fun and textured album that gets better with every listen. Not every song sticks, but the whole just works.

Jun 07 2025

An incredible live album. A great collection of songs and an extremely powerful performance.

London Calling by The Clash
Jun 10 2025

One of the best albums of all time, 10/10. Such a delicious spread of genre bending tunes that all hit in different yet equally satisfying ways - no notes.

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Jun 13 2025

It's definitely a Beach Boys album. Not as remarkable or musically interesting as Pet Sounds, but still pretty good.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches
Jun 15 2025

Love this album, some really good stuff.

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
Jun 18 2025

Cool sound, fuzzy, grungy, but a little boring. This must have gone hard in 88 though.

Elastica by Elastica
Jun 19 2025

Pretty good.

Disintegration by The Cure
Jun 22 2025

Amazing album, some incredible songs and impeccable composition. Perfectly gloomy.

The Bends by Radiohead
Jun 24 2025

Pretty good.

Dookie by Green Day
Jun 29 2025

One of the best Green Day albums also happens to be one of the first.

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jul 02 2025

Some banger songs, but ultimately a little one-note.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Jul 05 2025

One of the best albums from the 70s, incredible guitar passages, great composition, and pan flute!

The Predator by Ice Cube
Jul 06 2025

It's a fine album, but only a couple of really good songs. The production is not my favorite. Ice is a great rapper, but I don't really care for a lot of the beats.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jul 08 2025

Good shit.

The Poet by Bobby Womack
Jul 09 2025

Extremely groovy music. I dug it enough to listen to it passively for a while, but it didn't really strike me as something I will return to.

Brutal Youth by Elvis Costello
Jul 13 2025

I really enjoy Elvis Costello, but I don't think this is his best work (that would be My Aim is True).

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Jul 16 2025

Some of the best from the Beasty Boys.

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Jul 19 2025

Some of the best Eminem, didn't age the best though. I like some of the songs, some of them do not hit anymore.
