Heeeeel goed 10/10 would listen again
Blij verrast echt leuk album would listen again
Wel coole nummers I guess
I liked it would listen again
Well I didnt really really listen tbh yesterday was not a day for this album so maybe some other time
Edit: nope still cant do it
A fun introduction to Keith Jarrett, nice for on the subway or cooking dinner
Hmmmm okee vind andere albums leuker deze nummers zijn way too long
I like toevallig dit hele album nog nooit geluisterd dus leuke ervaring
Honestly echt mooi would listen again
The title is deceiving I was scared this would be some heavy metal or something but no! It’s cute and it’s sweet and it’s soft and it’s easy I liked it
I believe there is a time and place for this, but today at work was not that time and place. Sick cover tho!
Pretty good pretty pretty
Pretty cool but mostly just weird
okay but anyone hear that straw moving through plastic McDonald’s cupcover sound? In Sunday Bloody Sunday? Somewhere around 1:31-1:41. And from then on a few more times actually. You really discover new things with this 1001 albums list. Who knew U2 loved McDonald’s cups so much.
This is actually enjoyable, would listen again
Honestly pretty good and enjoyable
Not for me, is dit piratenmuziek?
Honestly i expected more, maybe I thought the lyrics would be better idk
Wasnt very memorable but was nice. Listened to it on the beach on a quiet slightly chilly day so it fit the vibe
Ja pretty good niet heel bijzonder
Sick title but the music… NOT for me unfortunately
Ja opzich maar niet laaiend enthousiast ofzo
I liked this! I liked this more the first time I listened to it, the second time I discovered it was a little bit repetitive
Hmm I guess I don’t like the who as much as I thought I would. Music wasnt bad tho just not something I would put on often. Maybe some other time I will appreciate it more
I didnt get hot or cold from it, is what my grandpa would say
I really really like this
I’m sorry I just don’t think this is it. The Beatles arent my cup of tea but john Lennon on his own is worse
I can’t I just… I can’t do it. How is it so bad. His voice… the lyrics… the music itself… how. Do people really connect to this on any level? Maybe I’m just uncultured but this… I just CANT DO IT
I really really like this
Looked at the reviews and it turns out Phil Spector is a murderer… Christmas cheer anyone?
These are definitely the best Christmas classics so I will be giving this a nice golden Christmas star, but not for that creepy Phil Spector message at the end!!
Separate art from the artist. Great album really. Kanye has had an undeniable impact on hip hop and rap and music in general really. Not sure if this is the most groundbreaking album of his but it def has some great stuff on it. I like the story telling aspect
Heerlijk bij morning coffee met mats. She said she needs some Marvin Gaye!!
Ja pretty good fun times beetje eentonig maar aantal bangers zeker
Better than I expected. I guess he was a better Beatle than John. But.. I’m rating this a few days after listening and I actually don’t remember that much from the album, so not that memorable or not worth remembering? A quick re-listen tells me: worth remembering but not that memorable.
Im definitely all for separating the art and the artist, but it does make it less enjoyable. Fun album for sure! Had never heard of it so pretty exciting to find something fun, but don’t think I’ll continue listening.
Not my favorite album of them, but certainly has some great and beautiful numbers on it.
Leuke Giorgio moroder sample
Kate Bush u have my heart
Some if it is fun and comforting, some of it makes me nervous
It sadly just doesn’t hit quite the same anymore. I just enjoy it ever so slightly less. I’m a firm believer of separating the art and the artist when necessary so for the rating I will put the somewhat eerie feeling aside. MJ has had an unbelievably big impact on the world, reaching far beyond just music. This album is boogie indeed.
Quite enjoyable! But nothing really special to me
Ja very fun en easy!
Sorry i dont think I like it, its too much nooooise
Dit was wel cute en chill
An honest piece of genius
And yes, I am too, in love with my car <3 gouden sletj
Wow this was really enjoyable i didn’t expect this to be this good to be honest. Really really enjoyed this
Boyfriend said it’s nice music to fall asleep to…? Anyway, I think the recording is a little flat, with modern recording techniques it would have a lot more depth and balance. Still pretty swingy but I would like this a lot more live I think. Now it’s just a lot of noise.
Chill, pretty nice, maybe I would listen again
Hmmm I already knew Holger Czukay but I didnt know he was in this band. This album kind of tells a story? It really sparks your imagination, you can visualise a whole world around this album. Though I like Holger Czukay on his own better..? I think..? This was definitly an experience worthwile
Heel goed! Niet alle nummers even goed maar girls&boys is zo’n goed begin can’t really go wrong after that
Honestly very pretty, not my favorite Radiohead album but still pretty with an edge
Hey some of this is nice! That loudquietloud sound indeed, im more for the quietloudquiet. The happening is nice
There is a time and place for everything, same goes for this album. Time: anytime. Place: anywhere.
2000s teen movie style i love it
Debut album but undeniably experienced artist. I need to listen to this again and again to fully comprehend the lyrical levels
I had been waiting for this one and then there it was. It doesn’t get any better than this does it? Despite the fact that I’ve listened to this so many times, it stil gets better every time. Every time Therese something I didn’t hear the last time. Surprising me every time
Ahhh heerlijk I love this kampeer vakantie anthem
Ja ook niet voor mij helaas, the six million jews line took me by surprise
Viel bijna in slaap
Okay I like this but in a dire straits kinda way, not a U S A! U S A! Kinda way. Get it? It’s like, I like the music but I dont necessarily connect to the lyrics in a deeper way.
Very nice maar beetje emo it’s cute tho
This was cute! Most of the numbers are double so idk I got to be a little much of the same after a while. But still, cute.
oeps listened to in a doghouse instead of throwing muses. Tag is wrong but the music was still fun. The throwing muses album is better tho. Pleasantly surprised I loved the punky vibe
There’s something so sugar sweet about this album and she lays it on us so gently. Giving this a truly good listen really uncovers all the depths that get overlooked or maybe even hidden when hearing this on the radio. I never knew why this is so good, I guess I still don’t know why, now I just know it is
I really wanted to like this and then I did! I like her as a person but the first two songs it didn’t click. And then somewhere along the third song I got it. You just get transported
Roundabout :)))))))) actually quote liked this
Letsgooo well known favorite on this album take five! Great to wake up with.
Well not my favorite but I said I love the smiths
Although it’s not as bad as swordfish trombones it’s still not for me. I get why a very niche group of people might like this but I just can’t relate to the in my opinion substance lacking storytelling. I just can’t deal with the voice I guess. And it’s not because I don’t get jazz I love jazz. The setting feels unauthentic tho
First cd big fun, second cd bit boring
Hmm mediocre other albums are more enjoyable
There’s this review, you might’ve seen it, it starts like this: Have you ever been out drinking with a few friends and it gets to that late hour where you can either go home or get weird?
And he explains beautifully how this album is like when you decide to get weird. But I think he forgets to mention that somehow this album is both. It’s like when you get to that moment of the night and decide to go home as well. Saying goodbye to your friends who bravely accept the weird while you accept the quiet of the night. Lying drunk on your bed while the room is spinning, spacing out, waiting for the inevitable existential crisis to overflow your brain. But like, in a good way? This album just lures you into the parallel this truly album is. People who don’t like this probably never tried drugs… good for them!!
Gorgeous what can I say. Especially loved Anne’s song and sparrow.
Lovely way to start the day
Hmm has like 2/3 Nice songs on it and the rest is uncomfortable noise
Oehhh I really liked this
Like some of it is cool, but it mostly makes me nervous so
I can listen to this all day every day
Never listened to the full album before but its all just as good as Fast car. It’s like one big story about everything she observes, making big systemic injustice feel personal and personal matters feel large and important.
Definitly not my favorite radiohead album
Started off as something I thought I woudlnt like, for a very brief surprising moment I liked it, and then it was too whiney for me again. Glad I dont like it because the dude turn out to be… lets say not a great person
Okay so obviously around the world banger! Da funk yes but the rest of it… BUT I LOVE INTERSTELLA 555 so dont judge
This one review really took the words right out of my mouth so im just gonna copy paste it: “Did I enjoy the sound of this album? Yes definitely! Did I enjoy some of the lyrics? Yes! Did I enjoy all of the lyrics? Fuck no! (but that's kind of the point right?) Eminem's storytelling is so good and the songs are so catchy it does hold my attention, even if the misogyny does get tiring. Last couple of songs lost me a bit but otherwise I enjoyed this more than I expected.” Shoutout to the author!
I think there are a lot more albums that would represent R&B or electronic R&B better than this. Beautiful vocals but thats all there is to it. Lyrically it provides nothing. Though it apparently made the list for being experimental, I would say its basic and overdone (or maybe just not done right?). Maybe in another lifetime I will appreciate this. Vocals are great tho!
