Not a bad album. Video a little confusing for the first song. I didn't hate it, but not an album I would go out of my way to purchase. I rate it as "OK."
nice cool jazz, a little too raucous for working or reading background though.
Generally speaking, I loathe the Stones. This album gets a passing grade primarily due to the nostalgia factor of Brown Sugar and Wild Horses. Wild Horses is one of the (very) few Stones songs that isn't complete garbage IMO.
Great album. Anger, pain and frustration in a box. Love it (first time full listening).
I haven't listened to this one in ages. Forgot how awesome the not-played-to-death-on-the-radio songs are. 39, Prophet Song, I'm In Love With My Car ... the list goes on. LOVE this.
angsty punk? Not really impressed.
Fairly typical droning Grateful Dead music. Probably sounds a lot better if you're on LSD. Not horrible, just meh.
Loud, discordant and distorted. Confusing lyrics, but fun.
Easy to listen to. Not great but good.
elevator music for teenagers
Not very good. Music is uncoordinated, lyrics lame.
Music is really aggressive and loud, really enjoyed it. Lyrics also aggressive and loud, somewhat less enjoyable.
Iconic, no question. Not my favorite music nor my favorite band, but it really takes me back. And the movie is hilarious.
Meh. Not horrible, definitely iconic in its own way, but bleh. Not my cup of meat.
Nice background music, not annoying, easy listening. Not complex or intriguing.
Eh, it's OK I guess. Nothing is actually bad, but not my style.
Truly a classic. It's been a long time since I listened to the whole album. Great stuff.
Couple of good songs, overall not bad, not incredible.
Surprisingly good, easy to listen to, with some spice
Better than I expected. Surprisingly so.
Fun album, a few songs I had forgotten. Still not as good as Love It To Death, but pretty decent.
interesting from a historical viewpoint. Not as good as Santana.
Fantastic album. Six stars at least.
Tremendous album. Really showcases his working-man persona.
Not bad, very psychedelic
Pretty good traditional blues
entertaining and silly but not really listenable.
Better than I was expecting
Incredible performance by Blackmore
Not completely horrible, but not very good either.
Fun album, several really good songs
not horrible. very angry, so that's a plus.
yeah, no. Sloop John B is OK, the rest not so much.
oh, yeah. God damn, this is such a fantastic album.
Meh. Not very exciting or interesting.
Energetic jazz. Good background music.
I'm astonished to realize I've never listened to this one. Interesting swipes at some psychedelic sounds. Interesting off-cuts from Tommy. Not bad.
Not completely unlistenable, but close.
Some of the most boring and pointless music I've ever heard.
Calmly energetic, very nice. A couple of Big Hits, too. I may actually pick up this CD.
OK this is complete and utter garbage.
pretty incredible for 1965. Punk at it's finest.
Not terrible, but nothing I'd pay for either.
Jesus christ this is effing terrible. I wish I could give negative stars.
Angry punk girls. Vocals too quivery and not very musical - lots of yelling. Almost borderline tolerable. A healthy portion of fuzz, so there's that.
Music is well-produced, somewhat complex. Much better than the last two albums. Would listen again.
Enthusiastic punk. Entertaining, but not particularly good.
industrial headbanging. Pretty decent stuff.
Smooth jazz with singing. OK for background music.
musically atrocious. I'm sure she's a very nice person, but this is not very good.
This is more like it. Classic album.
one great song, the other stuff is OK. Not bad.
meh. music for sad teenage girls.
Not terrible. Music is OK, not too exciting but listenable.
Very nice if you're into 1950s Latino dance music. I am not into 1950s Latino dance music.
A classic. Not my favorite, but very listenable nevertheless.
This is pretty lame stuff. Some kind of techno-rap or some shit. Like listening to video game music. Probably an apt musical metaphor for 20th century grindstone existence, I guess. Musically it pretty much sucks.
Funny and fun, but not particularly good.
Good album, a regular on my playlist.
Sounds like semi-happy punk. Not horrible, not great.
Meh. A couple of decent songs and a bunch of rappy garbage.
A classic. Great stuff, straight up rock and roll.
the problem with U@ is all their songs sound the same. guitar is monotonous, vocals are whiney. Not terrible, but not very good either.
Meh. It's Bowie, so it doesn't suck, but it's Bowie, so it's weird.
What the hell is this crap anyway
dance-y pop stuff with some weird new age bullshit-sounding lyrics and imagery. Bleh.
big band jazz. classic stuff, high quality, not my jam.
what the fuck nonsense is this? Bullshit lyrics pretending to have some deep meaning. Like they got their lyrics from Seb Pearse's New Age Bullshit Generator. The music is lame, too. Every bit as fake as the album art.
not bad. three hits, mellow stuff.
Zombie music. Repetitive, no musicality, this is crap.
All these songs sound the same, and they aren't very good. Bleh.
Meh, it's Elvis. Fun but not great. High historical value.
This is probably good if you're a 12-year-old girl. I'm not that.
Nice and mellow. Not my jam.
This was actually pretty decent. Very listenable.
Lovely voice. Soft jazz. Play it in the waiting room
Great album, too bad he's such a jerk. Solid music, though.
This stuff sucks. If I had a company that had a help line, this is the kind of music I would have playing for the people on hold to make them hang up so I wouldn't have to deal with them.
nope. sounds like some kind of outdoor church music or something. No thanks.
Three or four decent songs, three or four terrible songs.
It's the Kinks. Social commentary with a beat. A couple of pretty decent tunes, nothing annoying.
This is very un-Byrds like IMO. Extra triple hokey country. It's more funny than it is bad, but it's still pretty bad.
jesus christ what the fuck is this garbage
After the last few terrible selections, this is pleasantly non-awful. Not great or anything, but at least listenable without Maalox.
Now THIS is a great album.
Really fun album. Not my favorite vocalist, but still pretty good stuff.
Very simple music. Not bad, but hard to enjoy because songs are over just when you start to get into them.
One of the greatest albums of all time. Created and defined the whole Metal genre. Iommi's innovative approach to electric guitar has inspired five generations, and his influence shows no sign of fading. This album was my musical awakening. I bought it the first time I saw it on the shelf, and it has never left my stack of favorites.
good stuff, but not for me
Steely Dan is great jazz/rock. Very enjoyable, excellent guitar work, very clean and crisp changes. Great album.
Lou Reed is one of a kind. Excellent album.
Better than I was expecting. Very listenable.
not quite iconic, but historically significant nonetheless.
