Popular Reviews

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine

Loud guitar sounds, ethereal voices. Then sentimental songs filled with noise and deep lyrics. Closing out with heavy rythms and a sense of longing. Regular duration, but enough to experience fully in one sitting.

Van Halen by Van Halen

Surprising that I didn't listen to this record previously. Great hard rock compositions, incredible guitar licks and general feel of the record. Great sound.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson

What is there to say amongst one of the greatest albums ever made? So catchy, songs are immaculate, production so good that every song, every rythm, every bass line is curated to perfection. Michael's voice and performance is out of this world in this disco influenced record. So so good.

Since I Left You by The Avalanches

One of the best albums that is not simply categorized by any labels, so the music speaks for itself. The samples are blended beautifully, the transitions between songs flow very well and it's enjoyable all the way through. Cannot recommend it enough.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers

Chill and easy to listen. Doesn't last too long, so it doesn't drag, it takes you for a smooth ride with deep lyrics and sentiment. Good all around.

Incredible first album by this band. Starts strong with two memorable songs, it shows down the lace for a bit until it returns to the most known tracks. The second half is more manageable, but the rhythm, the grooves, and most important, the feeling doesn't go away. Love it.

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Feb 27 2025

Very enjoyable bluegrass with many tones of country, nice surprise because I wasn't expecting anything about the record, a song here and there is good, but it's a very long album

Heroes by David Bowie
Feb 28 2025

I have heard this album once, before, the first half comprises on Bowie's lyrical songs, where you could meet known structures and sounds up until now on his discography, memorable and enjoyable and, of course, not forgetting his signature "Heroes". Now the second half shows the experimental, instrumental and inspired side, where we meet the introspective mind. This side takes us on a ride where you need to he present in his mind, and acceptance of this change of pace on the album. Be prepared for what the record shows you, you won't expect it. 100% recommended.

Mar 03 2025

Seminal and legendary record, the length isn't felt because of how easy it is to listen, and the lyrics take it to a new dimension. Themes we still talk about to this day and a perfect execution that reaches the point it wants to make while being great to listen to.

Chill and easy to listen. Doesn't last too long, so it doesn't drag, it takes you for a smooth ride with deep lyrics and sentiment. Good all around.

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Mar 28 2025

I knew what I was going to get into, I knew the polarity of it. I hadn't heard it before, that's the thing. This is a record for the ones who appreciate it and it's intricacies. That being said, all the time I listened to it, I thought, ..how was this made? Was this made with a serious face? It baffles me and my comprehension how this could be coherent and in some sort of tune. Glad I listened to it, but I won't do it again unironically.

The Trinity Session by Cowboy Junkies
Apr 16 2025

Slow country and very quiet songs are not a combination I'm personally a fan of, but it was a good surprise. Lyrics were felt and the songs are filled with soul and its moments are stand out. Not a fan, but a nice discovery.

Metallica by Metallica
Apr 17 2025

This landmark record caused waves when it was released, a change of sound in Metallica's discography, and an introduction of what was to come over the 90s. But this album is an outlier, it sounded heavier from the rest of the 90s albums, it was slower than previous records and still managed to gather a reception that inspired generations. The songs are cool and, from my personal experience, one of the top records from their catalog. Always a joy to listen to, recommended always as an introduction to the band.

Clandestino by Manu Chao
Apr 18 2025

A very Latin record, great songs and good lyrics to listen to at any time, a staple in popular music of Latin America, in parts it sounds optimistic and danceable, in others is more calm and reflective. Will add it to my library.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Apr 21 2025

Incredible record within a short span, masterful combination of the artistry of each member, the deep lyrics and themes of the album are different from their 70s work, yet it remains one of the best of their discography.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Apr 30 2025

Landmark record for the band, it wounds very well produced, although I thought it could very well be shorted because through the second half i though it was dragging the final songs to an extensive hour and more of music. Great record overall.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
May 01 2025

Earlier in their career and it has some notable Latin influences. Fun songs and enjoyable record to listen to.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
May 02 2025

Very groovy and calm, super enjoyable and one the best works by Stevie. Super recommended.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
May 05 2025

Pretty good, not a Jazz enthusiast, but I can appreciate how much effort went into this album and the songs have their own themes and composition.

Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
May 06 2025

Great record and a good set of songs with cool lyrics. However, in my opinion, the most notable were the two singles "Money For Nothing" and "Walk Of Life" and that was it, the rest of the songs are very calm and a little bit atmospheric, I can note the vibe of the record but it doesn't go with the two singles. Would require to listen to it more times to get it fully.

Rust In Peace by Megadeth
May 07 2025

Great album, along with the best of the band, consistent all the way through, heavy riffs, great lyrics, and incredible drum work.

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake by Small Faces
May 15 2025

Different sounds than what I've used to, didn't care much for the spoken word parts, but outside of that, enjoyable and easy to listen with a short duration.

American Pie by Don McLean
May 16 2025

Incredible record, all songs sound great, have deep and recognizable lyrics, catchy and legendary. No complaints, but a good surprise that I will keep listening to.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
May 19 2025

I never get tired of this record, it starts loud and angry and angsty. Cherub Rock and Quiet bring the heavy start of this album, the comes a softer but still heavy side with Today, Hummer and Rocket, all these songs reminisce from a time of adolescence, where you try to find your way through life. Then comes Disarm, which feels like a plea to be seen and to cope with the feeling of sadness in your upbringing. The string of Soma, Geek USA and Mayonaise bring memorable and sweet songs to sing to out loud with your chest. Spaceboy feels like a faded out dream, floating in your mind wanting to go home. Silverfuck is the last and long heavy breath of the record, that sways into Sweet Sweet, which feels like a contrast of a calm melody with lyrics that lead you to think about the reality of it all. To end this record in comes Luna, among the softer songs that looks into the future of life, the partnerships that you have, and what you want in your life. Most of the songs are a favorite of mine, and this record is a testament of its time and of everyone's life.

I got the tropical vibes from this trip-hop record, generally very good but It made me snooze a little, didn't keep me engaged and would listen to it again, if I were to fall asleep to it.

Jun 23 2025

I now understand why this record is as popular as it is. The songs flow nicely between each other, lyrics and features are well produced and worked on. The songs are listenable by anyone, with a few exceptions because of the lyrics. It is not my taste and probably won't look for it in the near or far future, but it has appeal, songs are okay and it is not a bad record.

Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby by Girls Against Boys
Jul 31 2025

It is a heavy record and a hidden gem from the grunge era of the mid-early 90s. It's heavy guitars and punchy drums makes it very noisy, intense, its lyrics puts it all together and it makes you numb until the record ends. Hard to miss when it comes, and enjoyable for any moment, pick any song and it comes to you when you least expect it. Will listen to this many more times.

Aug 05 2025

I'm not a huge fan of The Smiths, thought the songs were okay, and can tell that this is a record the fans would like, but for me it wasn't that exciting nor it gave me much desire to listen to it again.

Pictures At An Exhibition by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Aug 06 2025

Very calm, this is the first album I listen by them; orchestral pieces sound great and the psychedelic mix makes it unique. It sound is very polished and every part has its place. Wouldn't say I loved it, but I would need to listen to it several times to get it more.

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Aug 14 2025

Incredible album, it is noted that it took a lot of work to put it together. Enjoyed it all the way through, with Eminem's lyricism and mastery of his delivery. This his commercial first LP was a product of its time that holds up very well.

Something/Anything? by Todd Rundgren
Aug 15 2025

It had a few good songs, and I'm very sure it was very well regarded in its time, to me it dragged a little, songs were good and it was fun to listen to. It's not for me but I wouldn't mind to listen to it again.

Aug 18 2025

Sadly, the one record Kurt Cobain wasn't alive to listen before he died, you can notice his struggle and pain in a few of the songs, it's raw, it's powerful and sweet at the same time. Unapologetically him and made the concert and recording as good as it is. Recommended always.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Aug 19 2025

Hadn't listened ti him before, it's a good guitar record and his work was astounding in this one. The blues and true sound of it makes it a special one.

American Idiot by Green Day
Aug 20 2025

Incredible and historic record, it gained a new following and gained massive popularity when it came out. Songs are all great and by how those are, no one really minds the length of a few of then, like Jesus Of Suburbia, that became iconic from the band. Transitions between songs made it a sense of fullness and became great songs on their own merit. Always recommended and listenable any time of the year.

Wasn't familiar with Beth's music, and I thought it was okay, it's calm, it's about experiences and how life moves through everything, how you carry yourself and being alive. Something different at least.

It's a relaxing record, songs were nice and it's an album to play in the background. Would need more listens to listen to it more intently, but I enjoyed it regardless.

In It For The Money by Supergrass
Sep 12 2025

This is the second Supergrass record, I came familiar with it for Richard III, that was featured in Flatout 2 for PS2. Every song sounds great, and the energy changed from the first record to this one. This sounds like a more grounded band and play everything with intention and with soul. From start to finish it is enjoyable, brings good energy and makes you craving for more. I had this in rotation already, and it's good everytime I listen to it. Super recommended.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Sep 15 2025

It's the most calm and serious Bruce Springsteen record I've heard. It's lyrics are deep and needs attention for each and every song. It may feel like a background-ish record that you put on and walk away, but it's more than that.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Sep 16 2025

It is surprising to me that I didn't listen to this one until now. It is a very different record and a standout in their discography, the hits are amazing and Sabotage is timeless. A landmark record and a must listen for everyone, killer songs and great attitude throughout. It drags a little by the end, but enjoyable all the way through.

2112 by Rush
Sep 23 2025

One of the best Rush albums, the start with the Overture and all its parts is one of the best album starters, then comes A Passage To Bangkok and The Twilight Zone, which give the album its attitude and makes the listener experience different places, whether it be physical and mentally ethereal. The second half of the record with Lessons and then Tears take the listener to an introspective journey and bring the music to a slower pace, deep lyrics and sounds of another world; finally, the album ends with Something For Nothing which concludes with a release of everything you've felt through the record and lets it go with a final whisper. Love that it doesn't take that long to listen and it doesn't feel rushed, so it encapsulates everything it needs with these 6 songs.

Sep 24 2025

An incredible 8th Beatles album, the first half take you to a grounded feel of companionship and sweet songs to listen to, the start of the second half deviates from the rock/pop feel and then brings you back to the fantasy and ground you once again with A Day In The Life. Production astounding and lyrics very good as always. A great record to own.

World Clique by Deee-Lite
Sep 25 2025

I wasn't aware of the amount of good songs in this album besides Groove Is In The Heart, which in itself is a legendary song. A dance record to put on and let the time roll by, lovely lyrics and a great experience overall.

Garbage by Garbage
Oct 01 2025

Love, love, love this album. It starts out with Supervixen, a great way to set the tone for the themes and the album itself, you can notice the chemistry in the group and the courageous lyrics, then comes Queer, with an empowering voice and aggressive sounds throughout, Only Happy When It Rains is the song most people associate the album with, it flows so well, you'll be enchanted all the way through, As Heaven Is Wide is a song that serves as a critic to the church, but the song itself feels mysterious and makes itself known through the sounds of the band, Not My Idea returns to the aggressive sound but punchier, A Stroke Of Luck slows down the tempo to soothe you with its lyrics and overall sound, Vow was the first song they released, it's dancier and makes you want to jump and sing with all your might, then Stupid Girl is the next most recognizable song and levels through the lyrics with a pleasant sound, Dog New Tricks feels like a scream to the masses, My Lover's Box is a more personal song that makes you feel everything, Fix Me Now flows almost the same with a different rock sounding band, and it finally ends with Milk, that closes out with a slow plea for love. Overall, it's a n experience with deep lyrics and songs for all kinds of people that will make you feel alive.

The soulful voice of Isaac makes his lyrics sound through each note, and through every song. Deep, sensual and incredibly smooth. This is 100% recommended.

Oct 07 2025

Queen's third album is the one that, for me, sounds the heaviest. It's so energetic and raw, sometimes you forget you're listening to Queen. Specially with tracks like Brighton Rock and Stone Cold Crazy, makes you think this is a metal album. Overall very good, good pace and song selection for its time.

Oct 16 2025

Early punk mixed with rock elements, good sound for a first album. Fun to listen to.

Oct 31 2025

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Nov 03 2025

Their music and songs were good, a few standouts, although not really my taste.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Nov 04 2025

It took me by surprise, it is rooted in its gangsta rap era of hard and explicit lyrics, with lots of collaborations. It's a legendary effort and an incredible album. Not for the faint of heart but it goes hard from start to finish. Amazing.

Jul 31 2026

This will be in 2 parts, 1st one and the quickest: I don't like how the lead singer sings, that way of singing and how he delivered the songs, not my style, nor I thought it was great. Moving onto the 2nd part: music sounds amazing, production felt very well crafted, and each song has their place and way to be, lyrics felt relevant. I would listen to this album, had it not been for the vocals, I couldn't take it too seriously and every song he sang the same way. 3/5

Morrissey being Morrissey in other words. It's very alternative mixed with British pop sounds. Didn't caught my attention and felt a few of the songs sounded the same. It was okay.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix

I had no idea this was a double album, and the track just fit together nicely, it's so pleasant to hear a good rock album so well put together. The musicianship is off the charts, for many of the songs and you can tell how much effort was put into it. 100% recommended.

All Hail the Queen by Queen Latifah

Interesting album, a pioneer in the genre and incredible festures. Unapologetic, and amazing energy throughout. Very cool.

Interesting album, songs are great and production is very good. Great collaboration between amazing artists, it felt like there's nothing similar. The mix of Damon Albarn and Paul Sominon, along with alternative rock influences, makes this album worth listening, over and over again.

The Real Thing by Faith No More

Great album, it has amazing tracks and a great feel from beginning to end. It mixes funk and metal, with cool solos in fast and slow tracks along the way. Not the greatest Faith No More album, but a landmark that paved the way.

Amazing soft country album, the craft and musicianship in this is incredible. It marked a legacy that endures until now.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones

Legendary album with an amazing set of songs, it set up the future of the band and shot them to stardom. Paint It, Black is one of the most famous songs of all time, and it starts the album with such power. Following there's a rock and roll vibe and music to dance to. It's so catchy and great.
