Dusty In Memphis
Dusty SpringfieldListened once. Didn’t think any of the songs were anything to note, but overall it was nice album.

I went into this knowing who The Doors are but having not really listened to their music. It’s not at all my thing, but I can see the way they shaped music and inspired other musicians. Overall the album is fine. I doubt I will revisit it.
Can’t do it. I will be a hater until the day I die.
Never listened to a Smashing Pumpkins album front to back or much of them besides the hits. This was a vibe. Great music to work to.
I have some fun personal history with this album, but I tried to set that aside to listen to it. DJ music isn’t my favorite nor a go-to by any means, but this album was solid. enjoyable front to back, a complete vibe. Will listen again.
This is music for a particular mood in my opinion. Enjoyable, entertaining and powerful album overall.
Apparently I’m a Motörhead hater, who would’ve guessed. All the songs sound exactly the same to me and I don’t particularly care for the heavy guitar or raspy vocals. Did not fuck with
Did not like this even a little bit. It sounds like music the worst punks you’ve ever met listen to.
Some songs are better than others. I accidentally listened to this album on shuffle and repeat. After the first listen through it kept playing and I didn’t turn it off. Classic, will listen again.
Solid album. I personally think 30 is a better album.
Art punk is not a good genre, but if anyone is going to do it well it’s going to be some spunky feminist femmes.
I don’t listen to enough predominantly instrumental music to feel like I can give a worthwhile opinion on this. It was good and I’d listen again.
wholeheartedly understand why this man was so popular. my feelings were all over the place listen to this. i will listen to more michael because of how good this album is.
dudes voice is awful. you cannot convince me that i would need to listen to this for any reason.
this really poses the question “should men be allowed to make music”
sonically this was enjoyable, but also what the fuck??????
iconic, no notes
This was fun and enjoyable. A little confused why it’s on this list unless it was an influential for other musicians or the genre? Because overall it wasn’t anything special…
Moby Grape is a terrible name btw. first song, banger - playlist worthy. Only half the songs were showing up. For this to come out in 67 is cool. Understandable to be on this list. I hope to listen to all of the tracks eventually.
could use more cocaine
first two songs started off really strong… then it kinda went downhill. Shanti is probably top five worst songs i’ve ever heard. That being said, this album still isn’t the worst. pretend this is a 2.5
I tried 4 times to get into this album and couldn’t :/
beautiful, no notes
The Who? More like Who Cares…. just kidding. This was mid though. That song about being a man was bad.
Dwight has entered my country rotation because of this!
I wrote an actual review the first time I listened to this front to back. Great album. Life changing to consume.
I think I’m a Doors hater… not surprising. Just dudes making rock music is not impressive to me.
Don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t that. It was kind of all over the place and you never knew where it was going to next. Weird album. but not bad weird.
Easy listening while working. Didn’t find this to be particularly special or note worthy, but it was nice.
First song slaps, great way to open the album. The rest is alright
I had expectations going into this, unfortunately, because musicians i know are obsessed with oasis. It’s definitely a mindset, but dudes being guys playing music isn’t ground breaking to me. Gonna have to listen to original versus remaster though to hear the difference. The remaster sounds really refined, so I’m curious if that was genuinely their sound at the time or their experience coming through on it after the fact.
No notes. Mad I didn’t listen to this sooner, but happy to know it exists now :)
Good, not ground breaking. Enjoyed it enough to not turn it off.
You Ain’t the Problem was a hell of a way to start an album! Loved the sound/vibe. Will listen again
Respectfully, why is this on this list? Did we run out of the infinite amount of music to consume that it was necessary to be included? (TBF that could be said about a good amount of these albums. I digress). Children gang vocals are my worst nightmare, so that did not help. Like the beats are fine… but honestly could’ve gone without the vocals. As the album went on it got worse..
he definitely has better albums, this was fine though
this is a joke right? there is no reason for him to be singing like that? why is he doing that???? I didn’t hate “Breakdown” I think.. or one of the songs. Otherwise this album was trash.
Extra star for Jordan, Minnesota mention. This was cool and interesting, but it took me a few tries to listen to it.
It’s difficult not to go into an album like this without expectations. Never listened before, don’t know much of Pink Floyd… it was okay? fine? alright?
beyond meh
The album itself from an objective standpoint does not deserve 4 stars, but I personally really enjoyed this lol. It’s not groundbreaking, but it is pretty dang good.
Love the Beach Boys, this album is an interesting one. The chillness of it makes this album repeatable compared to other music of theirs.
Enjoyable. Won’t seek this out on my own, but wouldn’t hate to listen to it again.
no fucking way this man thought opening up an album with “allergies” was a good idea. making that song wasn’t a good idea. my life is worse for knowing this exists
the beats!!! sittin here and seem 2 be were my favorite. this was very good.
not my thing, but very impressive that this came out in the 60s. legends.
Was fine, not bad, but not good enough to revisit for fun.
First real exposure to Sonic Youth - fucked with it heavy. Bubblegum wasn’t a good song, but what can ya do. Going to listen to more of them and Kim’s other projects.
Did not like this, but didn’t hate it enough to turn it off for 2 full album listens.
Better than expected, but not incredible. Won’t visit again, but didn’t hate it.
did not enjoy a single second of this. *fart noise*
no disrespect, but nearly every beastie boys song sounds the same. It’s not bad, just kinda boring if it’s not your thing. They are entertaining at least!
This albums sounds was kinda all over the place. The second half was better than the first, surprisingly.
My mind was tainted by the global reviews. However, it gave me a different and funnier perspective. No chance I was going to enjoy this regardless, but it’s goofy. It is giving old dude on an acid trip playing his guitar in his shag carpeted basement and his kids come down to tell him to turn it down. Sonically it’s intriguing but not going to revisit and hopefully will forget about it quickly.
Had to listen twice because the first time was so forgettable lmao
Mid. Always jarring to hear a big radio hit smashed between songs you’ve never heard of.
The right amount of weird. Great storytelling. Fun and entertaining. Did not expect to like this as much as I did.
did not enjoy any of this, sonically it’s not bad I guess. Not something I would’ve ever expected to listen to in my lifetime tbh
I genuinely believe the world would be a better place if “The Hungry Intruder” didn’t exist.
Mid. Seriously no real notes on this.
This type of storytelling music is my bread and butter. The instrumentals are lowkey, but add to the story.
Fun, easy listening.
It’s a rock album. Not bad, but not special by any means. It was good, but I wouldn’t seek it out.
glad they ended One Very Important Thought the way they did. Decent album overall, might listen again as background music. Not great, but truly not terrible.
Deserving of 5 stars, truly. Only one song that was skippable. Cohesive, powerful album

Fine? Do people genuinely enjoy that?
Iron Man was my favorite song to play on guitar hero when I first got it. This album is a classic. Not the best Sabbath album, but iconic nonetheless.
Not a fan of the vocals or how he sounds like he is blubbering while singing?
