Back At The Chicken Shack
Jimmy SmithIt was solid swingy jazz. Not the kind of thing I typically listen to. I found myself wanting vocals but the sax and organ came through in the same way

I'm a fan of Nico. I appreciate the avant-garde style of some of these songs, but some are so jarring that it isn't the kind of thing I want to listen to more than once.
Wonderful voice. I like the range and variety. Solid!
Solid blues guitar, seems like a classic album. I like the live aspect of the album.
Definitely a classic - can't say I'd go back to it often for any reason but reading up on it was rewarding. Truly the golden era of hip hop.
Pretty cool, the mix was very interesting. Glad to be exposed to it.
Love the mood, very familiar with the first song. Great hanging out or driving album.
Fun, psychedelic. Wasn't sure if some of the songs were covers. Reminded me of B-52s. Probably wouldn't go back to this unless I wanted some weird music to party to, which I imagine was kind of the point.
Really cool, psychedelic. I appreciate it and Bowie's genius, although the dissonance became a bit hard to bear at times.
I liked this slightly more than the last Bob Marley album. "Jamming" is classic.
This one has been my last favorite so far... Maybe if I was British I would like it more? Or if I was alive in the 70s. I can really imagine liking it if I was more familiar with the artist and his story. I respect him and the mix is actually very nice, but I found myself wanting to skip every song. I typically don't dig the trippy kind of avant garde albums, kind of reminds me of the David Bowie 2016 album.
I have actually never listened to Radiohead. Album was pretty good, I can hear the political influence and I've become to appreciate that in music more, especially as it ages. It's a good mix and what I imagined Radiohead to sound like I suppose. I can imagine if I was a Radiohead fan that I would have loved this album when it came out. The vocals in most of the songs sound like a ghost is haunting me, but I can't say I hate it. Singer actually kind of reminds me of the Grouplove lead singer at times. I like the guitar, piano, and drums.
Pretty cool, sounds ahead of its time somewhat. I had never heard of this band so it was nice to be exposed to something new. I like the blend of genres but I can't say too many songs popped out at me.
Incredible!
Had never listened to Iggy Pop. I felt like it got better as I went deeper, I think it sounds ahead of its time in some ways. Some classic songs on this album
I never really listened to the Rolling Stones. I can put myself in the time and see why it was so popular and liked. While I consider myself a fan of rock, I can't say this really sparked anything in me, I think the album is solid but to me it just sounds like 70s rock. Perhaps I'm not listening with the kind of ear this album deserves.
Kind of felt like I was in the Matrix. Feels like the band got really excited about synths and other computer generated music and that seems to be a large part of what they were hoping to deliver. After reading about it, it seems like it was really well received and was pretty popular. I can't say I really wanted to continue listening to it, but it did something for me. I guess that's art.
Incredible. I've never listened to a Queen album before and I am thankful I did, it took me on a journey in my cubicle. The guitar, the vocals, the piano, the lyrics, amazing. Seems like the best version of itself.
Really good album, I can imagine this being big at the time. I had a fun time listening to it. I had never listened to him before.
Not my favorite Arcade Fire album but it was nice to hear.
I had never heard of this band and I was pleasantly surprised. Bluesy, countercultured, with some rock n roll and great guitar.
