The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five

I think they like Stevie wonder but don’t quote me on that. The album was for the most part either mid or bad. I honestly didn’t even really like the title track like I heard others saying. And that one song with the robots (end me ) think it was Scorpio.

Oh my God!!! This album is perfect! Still to this day my alll time favorite album and I love Pink Floyd! Every song is perfection with so many layers. My most listened to album of 2025!

White Ladder by David Gray

I was so excited for this album. I wanted to listen to it a while ago but I checked aoty and it had very few reviews and like a mid seventy so I skipped over it. When I saw this on 1001 albums it meant I had to listen and thank goodness because I really love it. My favorite songs are Babylon, this years love, sail away, and silver lining. Someone said this album is a little samey and I totally disagree, all the songs feel really unique. It also sounds so ahead of its time in my opinion, it sounds like something from 2000s or 2010s written in the late 90s. Story time: I remember the first time I heard Babylon I was working at my job which I still have 2 years later but I had just started and it was a really small location where I was all by myself. I was working on closing and cleaning up and everything trying to remember everything listening to music and Babylon by David gray came on. I was not as adventurous back then so if I had my phone in my hand I would’ve probably skipped, but I was working so I couldn’t and man it just stuck with me. I loved it and I loved David gray so I ended up listening to more of his songs and he’s just amazing!

Blue by Joni Mitchell

Oh my goodness peakkkk. I love this album but already heard it. Review: I listened to this album a while back but didn’t get too far and didn’t really like it but I listened recently and this album is amazing! I love her amazing vocals over super fun songs with amazing guitar! This is a top 10 album in my opinion!

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan

This is like everything wrong with society. Less of this more rage against the machine! I really didn’t like this. Her story about guys only wanting her for sex is really sad.

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Dec 05 2025

Personally… overrated! Listening to this I realized superstition was holding this album on its back! Blame it on the sun and you are the sunshine of my life were good but a 100 from critics is insane. I feel 78.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Dec 06 2025

Lowkey might be a bad opinion after another but I didn’t like this album either. I don’t love this genre of music like the cure. This album was annoying

Private Dancer by Tina Turner
Dec 07 2025

Did not like 1984, and let’s stay together felt like a random throw in. It will always be an Al green song for me. Also Spotify complaint, but the actual album is like 39 minutes but all the versions I found were like over an hour which is absurd! I don’t care how much you like an 1 and half of her is too MUCH! I just queued up the actual album to match. Positives because I have only been negative on this app so far it feels like, what’s love got to do is an amazing work of art and show some respect and I can’t stand the rain were pleasant album surprises.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Dec 08 2025

A bunch of dudes wearing full leather fits, singing about Grinder? Ahead of their time tbh. Love sum priest! This album is pretty good, feels a little samey from time to time, but Breaking the Law is really there best song.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Dec 09 2025

Oh man! It’s a shame pretty good album and when it rocks it’s good. There’s a few slow songs I don’t like. In the cold cold night is good but the other like 2 aren’t. Little acorns started off so stupid when it started rocking it was good. Also the album art is cool looking but where is the elephant? Funny story I heard was jack white was saving the seven nation army riff for a James Bond movie but he did eventually get to do the guitar on another way To die for probably one of the weakest bond film uh. Best song: seven nation army, ball and biscuit Worst song: it’s true that we love one another (so random out of place, and bad) and I just don’t know what to do with myself

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Dec 10 2025

Got to witness a fight to street fighting man today. Pretty cool but the fight was kinda trash. Got to get out of this private school man! The album is pretty good with some solid material. Debating if this is high 70s or a low 80? Ima have to go 79 because there was a few weak songs in here.

Truth by Jeff Beck
Dec 11 2025

Real dislike for rod stewart. Never really liked his music and this album has some truly awful singing that just doesn’t work with becks amazing guitar. The guitar is perfect throughout! Another dislike is an average of 4 minutes a song on a blues album. Blues deluxe feels like one of the only proper blues song on a blues album and it’s ruined by rod stewart! Good songs: greensleaves (no vocals), rock my plimsoul, blues deluxe Meh songs: everything else

Deloused in the Comatorium by The Mars Volta
Dec 12 2025

Wut is that album cover?! This is so weird and I don’t know what I hate the most and what I like the most. This album with a bunch of long ass songs and 1 hr! It’s a lot! Also all there other album covers are so much nicer, Frances the mute is like a beautiful reinterpretation of a Rene Magritte painting, it’s just this one I absolutely hate!

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Dec 13 2025

I already had heard this album but this is literally the best! One of the greatest metal albums of all time! Album cover iconic and all the songs are peak! This is the best album they’ve given me so far. I was saving 5 stars for albums I give a 100 on aoty and I gave this a 98 but if any album deserves a 5 it’s this!

Dec 14 2025

This is an album a day thing and tbh I don’t like rod stewarts voice. I said this before with truth by beck which was much worse because that’s like a bluesy album. I do think his voice is alright with this softer roots rock album and some songs like the title track and Maggie may are good. Can anyone explain the random ass amazing grace though, I didn’t like that. The backing music is really good, love the organ on last song, drums, guitar are all good and album length is good but still not a rod fan.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Dec 15 2025

Really good all round album. Sweet emotion is one of the greatest rock songs of all time and is classic. I really liked you see me crying which I’d never heard before. Toys in the chest was also pretty good and walk this way is iconic.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Dec 16 2025

This album was actually so good! Every song besides maybe 4+20 but still probably a 5. Love there cover of Woodstock by Joni Mitchell and I almost cut my hair might be the best ngl.

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Dec 17 2025

Been meaning to listen to sum sonic youth. Couldn’t hear it great because I was in line at guardians of the galaxy and it is loud in there. Overall from what I could hear pretty solid.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Dec 18 2025

Damn that’s a long ass album. Luckily I had some lines to wait in in Disney world so I got through the over 3 fucking hours of jazz and show tunes. Jeez. The like show tunes vibe of a some of the songs ain’t really my vibe but I will so in general it’s a good album just not for me. Pretty impressive she can come up with this many songs I guess. Also their is 3 preludes but not one overture on here so weird.

Live At Leeds by The Who
Dec 19 2025

Spottily only had the expanded edition but the if you listen to the actual track list I think it’s more solid of a list. 15 minutes of jamming to my generation is so tough! Young man blues is a new fav for me I would listen to it just for the Keith moon drum fill he does, so fucking peak! Summertime blues is a fun little cover song and magic bus is good to. I love me some who.

Diamond Life by Sade
Dec 20 2025

I liked this Sade album better. Smooth operator is her best song and the vibe on this album is more fun.

Dec 21 2025

It’s a mix of a few perfect amazing songs like stone cold crazy, Brighton rock, killer queen and flick of the rust with a bunch of kinda trash songs.

Dec 22 2025

You ever just look at an album and realize it’s gonna be a long day. I put this John off so long because I didn’t want to hear it. After actually listening to the album it is strange but not a throw away. Unique noises and sounds very different from the times.

Is This It by The Strokes
Dec 23 2025

This is an absolutely amazing album. Need to listen again sometime and really listen not tack a shower at the same time but what I did was amazing.

Dec 24 2025

This album was so good. Album a day finally put me on. It’s a wu tang solo album and it’s super unique. A little long being a double album but it flows really well.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Dec 25 2025

Oh my goodness peakkkk. I love this album but already heard it. Review: I listened to this album a while back but didn’t get too far and didn’t really like it but I listened recently and this album is amazing! I love her amazing vocals over super fun songs with amazing guitar! This is a top 10 album in my opinion!

Dec 26 2025

Truly a gift. I don’t really fuck with Christmas music too much unless it’s the blink-182 Christmas song but this is a great album. I didn’t like Phil Spector at the end little bit of a jump scare and didn’t expect him to sound like mj. Also first album listen with my new beats headphones I got for Christmas.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Dec 27 2025

I use to bump bd went through like half of his albums last year (20 something albums) this is my friends favorite bd album and for good reason. Mine still highway 61 though. Here’s my og review: Bob Dylan back to classic acoustic folk in the most spectacular of ways.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Dec 28 2025

Maybe not my genre or sum but I thought this album was booty cheeks. I will say the folk pop was definitely not what I was in the mood for when I started but whatever 1001 albums says I do fr. Also this album was absurdly long but I could definitely see how people would like it. But but if I wanted to listen to a 2000s folk album set in Illinois I’m going with yankee foxtrot hotel which is miles better in my eyes! Pros: song length, Jacksonville was good, well produced Cons: album too long, most song names too long, didn’t like the vocals, album cover looks stupid, did I mention the albums too long

Teenage Head by Flamin' Groovies
Dec 29 2025

Someone said this album sounds like sticky fingers and I can’t unhear it. But definitely not a bad thing at all. Kept expecting a drop in quality on this album (I thought the album was 16 songs because of Spotify) but it didn’t ever happen and I really enjoyed. Favorite song: whiskey woman Least favorite: doctor boogie Looks like most agree, really fun album and I loved the recommendation.

Maggot Brain by Funkadelic
Dec 30 2025

Ok hot takes here but I like everything but the title track, album cover, and back in our minds. The album cover and title are so disgusting I’m sorry but no, not feeling the maggot brains. Didn’t love the title track because it was a little boring for an almost like 11 minute song and back in our minds just sounds bad but everything else is super good funk and was definitely a put on can you get to that was a standout and the Armageddon song has a cool like nuke dropping part that’s unique.

Lady In Satin by Billie Holiday
Dec 31 2025

“Not quite my tempo” This like showtumes slowier vibe I think for the most part just drags. Spotify keeps scaring me making me think this is an over an hour album when really just 43 minutes but still really boring. I will admit I was playing cod in the background so they didn’t blend well together. The one exception I’ve found so far for slow show toon jazz vibe is in the wee small hours of the night which I really liked but this ain’t it chief!

White Ladder by David Gray
Jan 01 2026

I was so excited for this album. I wanted to listen to it a while ago but I checked aoty and it had very few reviews and like a mid seventy so I skipped over it. I loved it and I loved David gray so I ended up listening to more of his songs and he’s just amazing!

Jan 02 2026

Three top 100 songs in one album! That’s like half of this album too. Are the other songs up to par with the likes of free bird, Tuesdays gone, and simple man, no but they’re alright. Gimme three steps is like my dads favorite so it’s been overplayed, things goin on was really good and I had never heard, i ain’t the one isn’t very memorable but it’s alright, I forgot about poison whiskey and Mississippi kid is just not good. Overall I still would give it a high score just because of the three greats.

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Jan 03 2026

LOVE THE DOORS!!!! Previous review: What a beaut! Waiting for the sun and roadhouse blues are stand outs. This is my all time favorite band! This is their third best album in my opinion and the first to not be a 100. My order is as follows: the doors, la woman, Morrison hotel, waiting for the sun, strange days and soft parade. Other voices and full circle do not exist.

Jan 04 2026

This was a really good album and I love how the crowd gets involved and they sound so good and full in this like a proper choir. The songs all are amazing and my only complaints is that the album is too short and that either a belt on the recording device was slapping or someone was fucking next to the machine. Didn’t like that but I’m going with the first option and will not be taking off points.

Jan 05 2026

Pretty good album. I couldn’t really listen to the lyrics as I was working on school scholarship at the same time but the beats were really nice and I really enjoyed this album. The outro is like never ending, like I’m still listening to it and it’s driving me crazy. Shout out to me for making it through this outro!

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jan 06 2026

I love this album here’s my earlier review: I definitely liked this album better than what´s the story morning glory mainly because there´s no wonderwall. Cigarettes and alcohol is a standout and the guitar sounds very similar to bang a gong by T. Rex which is one of my all time favorite albums and songs. Supersonic is peak as well.

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Jan 07 2026

Ok everyone be like this band such an inspiration but I didn’t love it. I think it’s one of those things where people who know about it love it yk. For me this was my album of the day and I ain’t gonna act like I hated it, it had some interesting stuff. Maybe a little anger put out on this album because I had my first day of school after winter break today.

New Forms by Roni Size
Jan 08 2026

I listened to the album that came up which was only half. Still a fucking hour. Did not like this! A lot of it was really annoying and repetitive at least vocals wise. The drums were kinda tough. One exception I give is to mad cat that song was fire loved that opening.

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Jan 09 2026

This is like everything wrong with society. Less of this more rage against the machine! I really didn’t like this. Her story about guys only wanting her for sex is really sad.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jan 10 2026

Previous review: really good album! love monkey man, and gimme shelter. Makes me want to watch Vietnam footage I like this album better than sticky fingers or beggars banquet.

Roxy Music by Roxy Music
Jan 11 2026

Don’t really like this. Ig Brian no had a part in making this album and I’ve never really cared for his work. I have rated one of his albums and I tried listening to the one for airports or whatever but made me want to fall asleep. This album is certainly different from that definitely in a better way but still don’t love this that much. Too weird and at times annoying for me.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Jan 12 2026

One of the greatest albums of all time poppin up!!! Previous review: Bro I love the tull and the stage antics I wish they had more banger albums like this and thick as a brick. Also didn’t say in the previous review but listened while staining wood and I now have this on vinyl!

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Jan 13 2026

Dude I was feeling this album. I’ve never hard something more straight out of fallout and I’ve been watch the show so this is just so much fun! I actually loved this and that album cover is killer!

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Jan 14 2026

This was a really good album. The Spanish wasn’t to bad to understand either and on relisten I could probably pick some words out get a gist of what’s going on. The one song I think was asking when a lady he liked was going to move on from her grief which is kinda wild.

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Jan 15 2026

I think they like Stevie wonder but don’t quote me on that. The album was for the most part either mid or bad. I honestly didn’t even really like the title track like I heard others saying. And that one song with the robots (end me ) think it was Scorpio.

Bitte Orca by Dirty Projectors
Jan 16 2026

I think that yankee foxtrot hotel ruined any other 2000s indie folky style type albums for me. None of the others standup to it. And this album though maybe not the exact same genre still isn’t as good. I don’t love this album and it’s just kinda annoying me tbh. The violin and drums sound good though and I like the length of the album. That’s perfect!

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Jan 17 2026

This dude signed the constitution? That’s what Tommy boy said at least but idk? His music isn’t really for me, really weird and just kinda noise pollution to my ears. But he is playing near me in may should I go chat?

The Last Of The True Believers by Nanci Griffith
Jan 18 2026

I was actually a little shocked but I didn’t hate this album pretty solid with some shorter songs though. I like her voice and the stories are pretty good.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jan 19 2026

Pretty good a little long and compared to remain in the light this ain’t shit but still really good and I love the vocals.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Jan 21 2026

Easily a 5 star voodoo Chile is so cool and wa wa noise is peak! Not as good as jimis first album though in my opinion.

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Jan 22 2026

Not really my thing. The guys vocals kinda remind me of the bird is the word song or like the b-52s even a little but this I don’t like. Super weird in a way I don’t love.

Jan 23 2026

Oh God bringing back core memories!! Previous review: Lowkey may regret giving this a 100 but to be honest tho album is perfect. I listened to this after watching the first season of the bear and started making the pasta from the show. The show’s amazing, the pasta was amazing I don’t care what Carm says, and this album is amazing. I chose it because they’re both set in Chicago and to be honest this album matches the vibe of the show perfectly. They were meant for each other!

Jan 24 2026

I don’t know this album is really good but it just doesn’t do much for me. 21st century schizoid and the title track are really good and the title track reminds me of thick as a brick which I love but idk? The other tracks are alright too but yeah I think their is much better stuff, especially from the late 60s.

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
Jan 25 2026

1001 albums gave me this and I was really in the mood for this banger. I mean Ravi Shankar is probably the biggest shaper of the 60s psychedelic music craze which I love! He basically introduced the western world to Indian music. In this song we are explained to how sitar works and blends with the other instruments. Not only informative but also really fun songs.

Jan 26 2026

Wait what? I’ve definitely listened to this album in the past I got it today as my 1001 albums and I guess I hadn’t rated it before. Well I’ll go ahead and say this has got to be top 5 rap albums for me and I haven’t listened to a ton but I s till think this is a tough one to beat.

Jan 27 2026

Halfway through point. Saw this got flashbacks to listening to Ella Fitzgerald 3 hours in Disney world 🙄 lost my mind but the quality on this is much better every song so far has been relatively solid and fun + ludacris. My favorite things has a sample from my favorite Ariana grande song! (That’s a joke) the second disc is honestly worse in my opinion, yeah it has hey ya and a few other bangers but tbh it’s definitely not as strong. In all this album is so freaking long it negates all the good from the first half with mid filler shit that just waists my time and for that can’t rate this too crazy high like I want.

Basket of Light by Pentangle
Jan 28 2026

Oh man, i really enjoyed this I love the sound of I believe the saz/baglama on house carpenter and maybe a few other songs but it stood out to me on house carpenter. Love that sound! The woman’s voice is gorgeous too reminds me of like Joni Mitchell almost. Everything about this album is so well done and definitely a new personal favorite folk album which is definitely one of my favorite genres.

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Jan 29 2026

Pretty fun album and reminds us that western and eastern culture don’t have to be completely separate, and when we combine we can get surprisingly fun things like this album. I love the cover of light my fire by the doors, it’s an all time favorite song of mine and it’s one of those psychedelic songs without sitar so to hear sitar as the main instrument is really unique! Everything else is pretty good as well. 👍🏿

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jan 30 2026

This album is not terrible but the problem is after 50 minutes you feel like all you have heard is 2 or 3 really long songs. That’s not terrible but parts of these songs are and sound like me noodling on guitar or some random noises that don’t work I feel like. Who do you love is pretty good but the George thoroughgood version is much more iconic and I prefer it especially as I saw it live.

Jan 31 2026

Oh my God!!! This album is perfect! Still to this day my alll time favorite album and I love Pink Floyd! Every song is perfection with so many layers. My most listened to album of 2025!

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Feb 01 2026

Not really my kind of music. I actually listened to the first song a while back and realized I don’t like the smiths that much because I personally think the guy’s voice is annoying and their sound is weird. I don’t like rating negatively sometimes especially on super influential bands but 1001 albums made me as it was my album of the day. Overall my opinion still stands, but I don’t completely hate the title track meat is murder. It was alright after the mooing but I’m not gonna stop eating meat!

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Feb 02 2026

This album was pretty descent, I wasn’t paying to close attention though because I was just kinda disinterested with it. The biggest reason for this is I’m tired but also a big reason I need to bitch about is the album cover pmo. It is so boring it gives negative reaction, I’d rather it be a picture of someone than this. It was so negatively viewed by me that I waited all day putting this album off having no clue what genre it even was just to find out it’s a chill pop album. Art alone drops it down to a C for me!

On The Beach by Neil Young
Feb 03 2026

“Let’s go to the beach beach” not bad but the album cover again is throwing me off, it’s not Neil young feeling. The album itself is not bad though.

Make Yourself by Incubus
Feb 04 2026

Not bad. It feels like all the genres of the 90s in one package: drums giving grunge, his voice sounds kinda punky sometimes, and the guitar is like alt rock/metal. Drive was the only song I knew still the only song I remember.

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Feb 05 2026

Can we stop pretending like these guys ain’t peak! Super fun album. Theirs a random devil fiddle solo from the devil went down to Georgia it sounds like in the middle which is actually surprisingly pretty tough. Idk this group just works somehow, don’t know how?

Revolver by Beatles
Feb 06 2026

All the songs are amazing but I think that it is overrated by critics who put this as the groups best album. I think the songs are kind of all over the place switching so much and I like an album with more flow like peppers or abbey road.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Feb 07 2026

All the songs are amazing but I think that it is overrated by critics who put this as the groups best album. I think the songs are kind of all over the place switching so much and I like an album with more flow like peppers or abbey road.

25 by Adele
Feb 08 2026

Dude this is peak! I love Adele! Anytime I hear her I think of me and friend on a tiny like 10 person school van going to a tennis match playing blackjack in the back on our books while listening to her on my old phone that was about to die. Great times.

Ogden's Nut Gone Flake by Small Faces
Feb 09 2026

They nailed weird! I love psychedelic music but you never know what you’ll get with this genre. This is honestly feels a little like country/folky which is weird mixed but I guess that’s what you look for. First real listen to small faces not bad.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Feb 10 2026

Really fun album. I enjoyed this! Highway star is peak. And I can just here myself playing smoke on the water riff for the first time on my shitty acoustic guitar.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Feb 11 2026

Just got out of a nine inch nails concert so not the album I wanted to see but definitely what I needed. It’s 10:41 on a Tuesday and I have a ap calculus test at 8:05 in the morning. I usually would hate on an album only 29 minutes long but it’s just energy after energy. So fun and can’t deny green river and bad moon rising energy! CcR was the band that got me really into classic rock back in like 6th or 7th grade so I love this. Still remember hearing have you ever seen the rain that time and remembering all the days of working with dad listening to 60s 70s 80s on pandora.

Feb 12 2026

Not that great. Their big hit song I believe is a cover first of all and the rest of the album is pretty mid. I didn’t mind seedy films but the rest is kinda trash nah this is a skip save your time for me!

Abraxas by Santana
Feb 14 2026

Luv sum Santana. This albums fun with great Latin flare!

Feb 15 2026

Good punk album or whatever. I mean it’s not personally in a genre where if I lost it I’d mourn night and day over it but I mean it’s an alright album. Will I ever come back, nah. Will I revisit the band without being forced to by 1001, nah. Will I remember anything about this, nah.

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Feb 16 2026

It’s all right album, one where nothing really stands out as special to me but nothing seems overly bad. I think bands usually do start here and nothing wrong with that but I really am excited to listen to their sophomore album sometime soon. I started a while back but didn’t get far before I had work to do or something. An album like that one deserves one full listen to as well. The album cover on this one is not my favorite but very 90s so I get it!

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Feb 17 2026

Damn she bad! This albums pretty good and I love her vocals. The bass is addictive in this album and works great! Peak music fr.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Feb 18 2026

Where’s the part where Paul McCartney starts munching on celery or whatever. That’s all I know about pet shop boys is that Paul McCartney play a mean celery solo. Yeah as for the album not my cup of tea!

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Feb 19 2026

This albums alright but it feels like they don’t know what they want to be so they go more basic with it. Of course the big standout here is la grange but nothing else really reaches anywhere near the heights of that song here. The only thing keeping them out the 60s for me is that I saw them boys n concert and that they’re music videos where they’re like force ghost for helping guys score are hilarious.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Feb 20 2026

More like sound of midver, got em’!!! Nah but this album I was actually kinda excited for and it wasn’t that great in my opinion. 9 songs 56 minutes is a little bit of a grind!

The Score by Fugees
Feb 21 2026

Listened to this on cd player while working out one day. Here was my review: nothing crazy but I vibe to a few of the hits from here.

Dirty by Sonic Youth
Feb 22 2026

It’s a good album it’s just really long. Better than the other album I heard from them.

Out of Step by Minor Threat
Feb 23 2026

Very short very mid. But I ain’t a hardcore punk fan so that’s prolly why.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Feb 24 2026

Are they say las Vegas is like hell or is it like they are confusing las Vegas and heaven? The crazy part is I think it may be the only city where both can be true. The albums pretty descent as well. Really good all around.

Feb 25 2026

The Beatles were on lsd when they wrote sgt peppers, this album sounds like Sgt peppers were on lsd and wrote this. Weird album not terrible but maybe a little too out there crazy. When I think kinks I always think of that seen in the Bob Dylan movie where Bob Dylan’s like that’s the kinks man in his funny voice. Very unrelated sry.

The Rolling Stones by The Rolling Stones
Feb 27 2026

If someone asks Beatles or stones and you prefer Beatles compare this album to please please me. One is miles and above better in my opinion and it’s not this one. This isn’t a terrible album it’s just got a good bit of filler and covers for me. I do like Route 66 cover but not as good as the original and walking the dog is pretty good

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Feb 28 2026

This is really good. Feels very ambient and is on a different side of hip-hop from anything I’ve ever heard. Long songs with very few words is quite unique. Biggest complaints, the album cover while not bad definitely isn’t pushing any boundaries and it’s a really long album that feels like I can’t really add any of the songs to my rotation. Good in the album outside it doesn’t work but I think that’s just because I don’t really have like a playlist this would fit in to be honest.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Mar 01 2026

I’ve tried listening to this album so many times but every time I get to rooster I hear it and want to watch apocalypse now or sum. The album is actually really good though especially now that I finished it.

Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Mar 02 2026

Come on Eileen!!! or sum A lot better than what I was expecting for sure from what I would consider one hit wonders. I like their cover of Jackie Wilson said surprisingly. I’m lowkey crazy tired though so might hurt the score seeing as though it’s like an hour long!

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Mar 03 2026

I’m so tired of this shit! This is 1001 albums and I’m just not in the mood I listened to most of the songs, I like her singing alright, but it’s so unbelievably boring to me right now. It also just doesn’t feel 90s to me like it’s in the wrong decade out of place. It feels more 2000s or 2010s in a bad way somehow.

Why has no one told me I can now watch the music videos on Spotify?! That’s so cool. On my way snowshoe pretty good album not what I was expecting but in a good way. 87

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Mar 05 2026

I lowkey listened to the expanded edition. Fun album though and I really enjoyed it.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Mar 06 2026

80s by far the worst music decade. So overrated. This album is feeled with some classic 80s trash with a few absolute bangers. Time after time and girls just want to have fun are iconic. I really not like time after time. Witness actually pmo’d and most of the other songs are mid or bad.what in the filler is he’s so unusual!

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Mar 07 2026

This double album was amazing and I usually don’t go for double albums but the vibes stay up the whole listen. O children is by far my fav song worth the wait for.

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
Mar 08 2026

The album explains a very important detail, I always wondered how they got those chairs into the matrix room. They used the Tori Amos dumbwaiter. I don’t understand the name of this album though and what little earthquakes have to do with anything. As for the music, mid, I’m sorry but not my cup of tea. Like this the same year we had bone machine, dirt, and RATM like what! This is shite compared to them (completely different vibes) The only good song was me and a gUn.

Kala by M.I.A.
Mar 09 2026

I don’t like this. Not one bit. Another album i just can’t finish.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Mar 10 2026

This is a great airplane album. Probably won’t listen to another seeing as this is there best but still really enjoy it. Somebody to love and white rabbit where the only songs I knew before and rabbit is still there best song!

Mar 11 2026

Amazing hip hop album. Love the first song is for fela kuti and amazing afrobeat musician and activist. This might be a new favorite hip hop album. It really feels what he’s lived through. The song about the pimp is really strong too.

Mar 12 2026

They try so freaking hard to sound as British as possible that the album has to suffer. I mean no wonder these guys never became popular in the US. I’d much rather listen to a proper British band like oasis during this time.

Treasure by Cocteau Twins
Mar 13 2026

Didn’t like this as much as heaven or Vegas but still pretty solid. Very ambient and almost operatic at times which I love.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Mar 14 2026

Ok computer, more like ok this is really good, got em! This album is just banger after banger. Glad 1001 albums finally forced me to listen.

...The Dandy Warhols Come Down by The Dandy Warhols
Mar 15 2026

I actually liked this album but it is way too saturated. It gets rather boring there at the end not to mention it’s like bare minimum 3 songs and a good 20 minutes too long. If that was fixed the vibes lowkey are giving a high 80. The best part without a doubt is that mouth harp, such a freakin unique sound that I love!

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Mar 16 2026

Is it crazy to say this guy had the wildest feature list of the 60s. Like no one was throwing out feature albums like Stan Getz. And he was dropping banger after banger of straight boss nova bangers.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Mar 17 2026

Bob Marley has to be the most approachable reggae singer there is. what a finale album

GREY Area by Little Simz
Mar 18 2026

I mean it’s alright but today’s st pattys day so fuck them Brit’s aye!

Black Metal by Venom
Mar 19 2026

I will preface by saying the I am not a big metal fan. The most I’ve done is accidentally go to a maiden concert but it was peak so… The volume for guitar and anything that’s not vocals sounds really muted like they’re playing through a wall. The guitar is actually pretty fun at times and sounds mean if not so muted. The lyrics are pretty boring I will say and usually just devolve into screaming the title or something which isn’t always a bad thing but a lot of the songs having this is boring. Opening to teachers pet actually pretty funny but most of these songs are just IM FROM HELLLLL!!! BURY ME IN CHAINS!!!!

The New Tango by Astor Piazzolla
Mar 20 2026

I remember getting Astor piazola for a Spanish 3 project. The other group got the tough dude that sings por una cabeza and is like Hispanic frank Sinatra while I got this dude with the accordion and a crash out for a partner, urgh! As for the album, this is a xylophones wet dream right here mixed with some like creepy crawleys. If you listen hopefully you’ll understand but tbh I’m not a big fan. It’s a little weird and I can’t see me ever throwing this on in the background as it’s just to out there.

Doolittle by Pixies
Mar 21 2026

This album feels so ahead of its time like mid 90s rock in the 80s. I usually hate albums with a lot of short songs because they’re unable to fully express each song before moving on but this album with like 15 songs in 38 minutes keeps the pace pushing with each song sounding unique and fully developed which I was shocked by.

Mar 22 2026

I liked New York City song but compared to what I’ve heard of Dion this albums much slower and definitely is no wanderer which is a freaking banger. It a terrible listen overall though.

Bluesbreakers by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Mar 23 2026

So I believe this is the first album to feature this pretty niche underground guitarist Eric Clapton who sum might say is the greatest guitarist of all time; better than t swift I think not! As for the album it’s pretty tuff tbh. I like the cover of what’d I say with the crazy drum solo. The rest of the albums solid to

Queen II by Queen
Mar 24 2026

One of the only queen albums where I look at the songs and realize I don’t know any of them. It was a good listen and the songs are pretty good while I’m filling out scholarships.

Planet Rock: The Album by Afrika Bambaataa
Mar 25 2026

This might be the worst thing I’ve ever heard. I’d rather go def than have to finish this album. I’ve heard wet farts in elevator that sounded like Caruso compared to this.

So Much For The City by The Thrills
Mar 26 2026

An album that gets better towards the end. I don’t love the vocals but it’s all right and I do love the organ.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Mar 27 2026

I mean it’s alright. Kinda meh for Radiohead. You and what army reminded my brain rotted mind of that Nick eh 30 clip.

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Mar 28 2026

This album was actually pretty good.

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Mar 29 2026

As strange of an album as this is for me I don’t hate it. The vibes are there. The album cover is nice to pretty solid!

Mar 30 2026

I mean it's alright but nothing crazy as far as psychedelic goes. Bop to some strawberry alarm clocks instead

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Mar 31 2026

Honestly better than exodus. Stir it up a top 5 song and it doesn’t reach the heights of exodus with three little bird but it stays much more consistent in my opinion.

Central Reservation by Beth Orton
Apr 01 2026

Really good. I love her vocals but a little long

Tical by Method Man
Apr 02 2026

Pretty good. Hype stuff. Release yo delf is a banga

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Apr 03 2026

This album is a great step up from the last sonic youth album but hot damn this things long. Spending over an hour on an albums when I get bored. I will say this is one of the better things from the 80s

Parachutes by Coldplay
Apr 04 2026

This is a sweet little album. No one can hate on this Coldplay album, now any of there other albums say what you want but this one is so nice and lovely. I love yellow and the story of him trying to sound like Neil young in the studio.
