Popular Reviews

The College Dropout by Kanye West

“We at war with terrorism, racism, but most of all we are at war with ourselves.” Kanye needs to get back on his meds and listen to this album.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett

Beautiful music. Wish there were some vocals. Definitely deserves a better score because the work is so well done, but I need me some singing

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt

First thoughts, “oh, this is bad.” But then my second thoughts were, “is this playing backwards?” Third thoughts, “is he just heavy breathing into the microphone?” The best song was the first song that played when the album was over.

“You know I spell girl with a B,” is a crazy line. Still had my head bangin. Musically, it’s just angry me yelling. Culturally it’s a movement. I tried to leave this life behind, so I picked up R&B girlies… not a fan of how it makes me feel but maybe that’s a good thing.

Shleep by Robert Wyatt

Well kids, don’t get drunk and fall through a 4th floor window and become paralyzed from the waist down or your music will suck as bad as Robert Wyatt’s.

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Jan 01 2026

Holy interlude. Tons of filler. With a good voice and a sister like Beyoncé I can see why she’s so sad. Couple songs added to the rotation.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 16 2026

Pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyable album, but it sounds like a big blur of one song. Aside from the bangers we already knew, the intros to The Heathen and Exodus might have been my favorite parts of the album. Robert knows how to pump out hits.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Jan 17 2026

Terrible. Ahhhhh Flight of the concords 2.0 (did I do that right?). Would have picked this after the quadriplegic for dodgeball. They really thought they cooked with the line, “bells.” Should be used as an example of what not to do. All skips no hits. I’m not religious but I thanked god when this album ended.

Melodrama by Lorde
Jan 18 2026

Lotta melodrama. Brings me back to roadtrips in the PNW for baseball. More nostalgia than actually enjoying the lyrics but overall enjoyable.

Jan 19 2026

Lead singer sounds like Austin powers. Felt like my ears were being attacked. Paintwork felt like a half finished song.

Garbage by Garbage
Jan 20 2026

So much angst. “Sleep” sounds like a song in Dexter. Somehow listened to the delux album and caught 20+ songs. Wish I knew sooner I didn’t have to do that

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Jan 21 2026

Crazy instrumentals. Great vibe. It’s interesting but I’m not interested. Spencer is going to love this. Ending your album with the applause from your live show is goated.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Jan 22 2026

Meh. Not for me. And what is that album cover photo??

Jan 23 2026

Don’t know how to explain it but it sounds cleaner and less like “noise” than some of the other albums. More refined and newer than 90’s music, but not as nostalgic as 80’s

Blackstar by David Bowie
Jan 24 2026

The whole album put me on edge and gave me a feeling of doom and death. I recommend it if you’re in need of a 13th reason. Good artistry though, Bowie still had it up to his deathbed

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Jan 27 2026

Now THIS is my vibe. Sounds like a lot of music was inspired by this. 10/10. Good stuff

Metallica by Metallica
Jan 28 2026

Just what I needed at 7am on a Tuesday at my desk job. 5/5

Kimono My House by Sparks
Jan 29 2026

Fun, silly, light, playful… thank god for subtitles. Feels like I’ve heard it before. Low 3

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Jan 30 2026

Brings back memories of Guitar Hero. The guitar work is insane.

Jan 31 2026

“You know I spell girl with a B,” is a crazy line. Still had my head bangin. Musically, it’s just angry me yelling. Culturally it’s a movement. I tried to leave this life behind, so I picked up R&B girlies… not a fan of how it makes me feel but maybe that’s a good thing.

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Feb 01 2026

The man is a genius. But I’m not.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Feb 02 2026

The man is a genius. But I’m not.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Feb 03 2026

Ehh. Uninteresting. Nostalgia carried it to a 3. Solid 3. Enjoyable but I don’t need to re listen

Feb 04 2026

Teleports me to Disneyland. But its production isn’t that great. Solid but not great. Enjoyable but don’t need to listen to it again.

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Feb 05 2026

Feels familiar… like I’ve heard it before…. Fun, light uplifting. Not my thing but whatever.

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Feb 06 2026

First thoughts, “oh, this is bad.” But then my second thoughts were, “is this playing backwards?” Third thoughts, “is he just heavy breathing into the microphone?” The best song was the first song that played when the album was over.

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Feb 07 2026

Better than the paraplegic Robert Wyatt. But still not great.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Feb 08 2026

This sounds like what Flight of the Concords parodies.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Feb 10 2026

I have no strong feelings about this album. It was nice. It wasn’t for me. Hope Julia Loved it!

All Directions by The Temptations
Feb 11 2026

FUNKY MUSIC SHO NUFF TURNS ME ON. Not a girly, but we LOVE RandB. A 9 hour album is kinda long and a little repetitive, but it was so good! Papa was a rolling stone?!?! CLASSIC

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Feb 12 2026

Gets a 4 because they’re good but they can’t all be as good as Clint Eastwood.

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
Feb 13 2026

Whimsical. Not for me… this is a period piece

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Feb 14 2026

Amazing! Split between a 4-5. There were some AMAZING nostalgic songs on here.

Music From The Penguin Cafe by Penguin Cafe Orchestra
Feb 15 2026

Nice and interesting. Mostly good with some bad. You won’t catch me bumping this but they’re talented

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Feb 17 2026

Amazing. So many great songs I’ve heard before. LOVE the sound of the instruments. Loved the singing most of the time but didn’t like one of the voices on the album.

Feb 18 2026

Feels like I’m floating in space. Amazing transition between songs 2-3. And 6-7🫴🫳 And I guess more of them than I’m going to liste but odd how it’s not all of them… The lowest possible 3 you could imagine.

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Feb 19 2026

Well kids, don’t get drunk and fall through a 4th floor window and become paralyzed from the waist down or your music will suck as bad as Robert Wyatt’s.

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Feb 20 2026

“Very long sir.” Very enjoyable too, Ananda. Sitar? Good stuff.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Feb 21 2026

Sorry, Julia… this album is up there with Robert Wyatt for me. Whiny. I’m sure there’s some deep meaning behind the lyrics, but I can’t get behind how the music sounds.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Feb 22 2026

The highest 3 you can give it. I know the PSB can do better

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Feb 23 2026

What in the lion king beetlejuice is this. We reached kinda far for top 1000 albums.

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Feb 26 2026

“We at war with terrorism, racism, but most of all we are at war with ourselves.” Kanye needs to get back on his meds and listen to this album.

Elephant Mountain by The Youngbloods
Feb 27 2026

Low 4. Not my current vibe but it’s undeniably good music. Has similar sounds to a lot of other good music I’ve heard before.

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Feb 28 2026

I bet if I spoke this language it would go even harder.low 3

L'Eau Rouge by The Young Gods
Mar 01 2026

No thank you.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Mar 03 2026

Good name for an electrical company. They make good music too. Steven has a clever name for it too.

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Mar 04 2026

The guitar in TV set has moments where it sounds like, Great balls of fire. They sound like the live band that plays in Harry Potter Goblet of Fire. The mad daddy sounds like jailhouse rock. The highest 3 possible. Kept from a 4 because the whole album sounded very similar and I don’t need to recommend it to anyone.

Illmatic by Nas
Mar 05 2026

Good album. Wish it was RB.

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Mar 06 2026

Overall good listen. Enjoyable but wasn’t my favorite (I love RandB if you couldn’t tell by my name). It ain’t no Groove Theory. Feels like low production. Grainy. Static. I love this but make it 2025

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Mar 07 2026

Amazing album. These guys like Greta Van Fleet (ragebait).

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Mar 10 2026

Does everyone love sunshine of your love or just me??

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Mar 11 2026

It’s noise… but it’s… good… noise? I think I have a headache.

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Mar 12 2026

Good but very angry. If I listened to lyrics I might like it more but I’m more of a beat person. It’s a bad sign when the next song pops up once the album is over and you like it more than this album…

Space Ritual by Hawkwind
Mar 13 2026

If you took all the best parts from this album it would be a 5. If you just shortened the album it would be a 4. But it’s long as hell and there’s too much wasted space with the same old thing.

Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby by Girls Against Boys
Mar 18 2026

Instrumentals 4 Production 3 Vocals 2 Would love if it was a little softer

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Mar 19 2026

Not even pleasant. I would rather play with fire. Space garbage.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Mar 20 2026

I guess this is considered music… someone sang the words from their diary and called it an album. Sounds like a 10 year old gave their diary to their dad and he sang it for him. And the dad let the kid make some of the beats.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Mar 21 2026

Really enjoyable album. Nostalgic for me. Love the guitar and I enjoy the vocals!

Mar 24 2026

Iconic. When I started this album journey, I expected every album to be like this. I now appreciate the actual best albums even more.

The Band by The Band
Mar 26 2026

I wanted to give it a 4, but it didn’t transport me anywhere. It was good but it was one dimensional. They could do better and there is better out there

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Mar 27 2026

Heads will roll is a classic! I thought it was by someone else though? Huh. Couple other listenable ones. Overall not for me and didn’t enjoy it too much.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Mar 31 2026

If this is what Spencer heard when he listened to Metallica, then I understand. But, I still respect the artistry of it and can see a time when this might be what I need to hear that time of day to get me going. Rooster might be my fav.

Ritual De Lo Habitual by Jane's Addiction
Apr 01 2026

Three days was nice. Album overall was too punk for me.

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Apr 02 2026

No I’d just rather not. Not terrible but no thank you.

All Mod Cons by The Jam
Apr 03 2026

Exactly what I expected out of this album. Average pop 70’s British music with a decent tune and average British bloke vocals.

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth
Apr 10 2026

It had more talent than Robert Wyatt, but it was still just a lot of noise to me:/

Marquee Moon by Television
Apr 14 2026

Really enjoyable album. Love the guitar and an enjoyable voice. Vinny for sure

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Apr 16 2026

Beautiful music. Wish there were some vocals. Definitely deserves a better score because the work is so well done, but I need me some singing

A Date With The Everly Brothers by The Everly Brothers
Apr 17 2026

Beach boys 2.0. Which came first? If only something existed for me to check… nice album. Very consistent. I be this killed in the 60’s.

Revolver by Beatles
Apr 18 2026

Great album. The sitar can’t ruin it for me!

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Jun 18 2026

It’s a 3/5 because it’s Bowie but I’m not happy about it. Whimsical. Transports me to an earlier time. Not for me but I’m sure someone out there loves this.

Moon Safari by Air
Jun 23 2026

No. This is bad. Too experimental. Not good.

Jun 26 2026

What the whack was this noise. That is NOT what I think of when I think of Pink Floyd. I didn’t get it.

Snivilisation by Orbital
Jul 02 2026

I think this is a bit and they’re committed to it… The original pet sounds but this is literal pets making sounds. I transcended when Crash and Carry came on. These songs needed to be either half as long or twice as long but I can’t decide.

Jul 03 2026

Wouldn’t listen to any of these if given a choice. Sounds like they don’t even care.

The Yes Album by Yes
Jul 04 2026

The clap is a crazy name for a song. Great vibe. Great band. Great vocals. Just not my vibe.

Doolittle by Pixies
Jul 07 2026

Yeah it was good. Well played. Little too grungy for me though.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Jul 09 2026

Very pleasant. Not randb but soothes me just the same. Highest 3 possible

More Specials by The Specials
Jul 10 2026

Very well made bad music. Good instruments. Bad vocals. Too all over the place for me. There’s better music than this.

London Calling by The Clash
Jul 11 2026

Great album. Classic. Good vocals. Love the guitar bass and drums. Very cohesive album.

Ramones by Ramones
Jul 18 2026

Wow, this is great! Very consistent vibe. Wish I was in highschool when this came out. Shame they can’t even count to 5 though.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Jul 19 2026

Sleigh bells? Really slow. Makes me sad. I like to be happy. Would probably be really good live.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Jul 25 2026

I’ve been waiting for something like this. My dad grew up on this. So I grew up on this. Upbeat. Funky.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Jul 29 2026

Relally high 4. Not as iconic as some of the other 5 albums. Definitely not average. Enjoyable album that leads into so many other amazing artists.

Frampton Comes Alive by Peter Frampton
Jul 30 2026

This is electric. So good. High 5. Not the most iconic, but still really good!

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Aug 01 2026

If pissing your pants is cool, I’m miles Davis. Yeah he’s talented or whatever, but no lyrics is bonkers.
