1001 Albums Summary

I knew more than I expected to. May This Be Love was my favourite.

I had no idea what to expect and this blew me away. Excellent music for my morning commute.

Not quite right for my commute, need to be enjoyed while unwinding with a scotch.

I liked this way more than I expected. I think I’m a Dylan unplugged fan. Masters of War is a little too timely.

I didn’t love this. I thought the covers didn’t stand up to the originals and Respect definitely feels different coming from a man.

One oh your albums where guy can hear the skill and understand the importance but it’s not for you. As a middle aged white woman I’m not the intended audience and that’s okay, I did like The Chronic Outro, The Day the Niggaz Took Over, and Lyrical Gangbang.

A great album to wake up on your commute to. Weather Storm is a perfect “staring out the window of a train song”

This was great. I’d give it 9 out of 10 if I could.

Pretty good but samey. I had no idea that Love Hurts was a cover.

I know it’s a strone cold classic but it just didn’t speak to me.

I really like this, especially Atlantic City.

I was surprised by how many songs I knew. I especially liked Jump Into the Fire.

Unlike anything I’ve listened to before

Simply beautiful. I’ve heard this one before and I was so glad to revisit it.

I was burned by a million fart boys playing Jamming over and over in university so it was so nice to hear this much less overplayed album.

The harmonies are out of this world. I love the wall of sound production.

Highway Star is ridiculously good but the rest was kind of forgettable.

The beards made me think they were more of a novelty band, but this was fantastic.

Some wonderful surprises in style.

Beautiful voices but it didn't really capture me. It was strange to hear Rosewood Casket just days after Dolly's death.

Beautiful anthemic songs. Best songs: Lonesome Day and My City of Ruins. Worst song: Let’s Be Friends.

The highs are high but it was mostly just fine. Some of it was much bluesier than expected, especially Ice Cream Man. Best song: Runnin’ with the Devil. Worst song: Jamie’s Crying.

There are no bad song on this album but Respect is an all timer. I also really like Do Right Woman, Do Right Man. I feel like you could feel the connective tissue between country and R&B.

Ethereal. I especially like the soaring background chorus on Undo, the tinkling on Frosti. Union was an amazing ending.

It was all so wonderful it’s hard to pick a favourite. I think Four Women will stay with me the most.

I don't love Everybody Want to Rule the World so it was a pleasent surprise hear the rest of this ablum. I especially like The Working Hour, Head Over Heels/Broken, and Listen.

I love Bowie so I was surprised by how meh I felt about this. Nothing stood out either as very good or very bad. It was fine.
