1001 Albums Summary

I only knew the radio songs (Young Americans and Fame) before listening. The rest was good too. There was an unexpected Beatles cover (Across the Universe), which was fun.

I had never heard of these guys. It was relaxing and pleasant. I could listen for sure while working on something. Maybe a bit on the boring side, though.

It all sounds good, maybe not my genre.

I don't understand Steely Dan. There are some clever lyrics, but this isn't something I need to hear again.

This album...it's overrated. Other 90s grunge has aged well (Pearl Jam), but Alice in Chains just feels dated now. It's not as strong musically or lyrically as the timeless albums on the list. I think it's okay to forget this album.

Wiiiiiiild Horses couldn't drag me away from this album. Every song.

It's Radiohead, so it's pretty great. But this is not my favorite Radiohead album. When I get a Tier 2 album from a great band, it makes me wonder of all the tier 1 albums from that band are also on the 1001 list.

I really wanted to like this more, but it's just okay. You hear stuff from the Kinks and think they are just a hair behind the Beatles or Stones, but then you get into their albums and see they are actually quite far behind.
