1001 Albums Summary

3hr my god Ok I gave up 6 songs in

Song 2 is such a classic. The other songs do not hold up as well. I do like the grungy songs like On Your Own but that's personal preference. Without blur we won't have Gorillaz. Can't give more than a 3 to this.

This might be the greenest day. No song overstays it's welcome. It feels tight and doesn't feel too dated.

This is a certified classic. Influences run wide and deep. Drums are insane. Mixes rock, blues, acoustic? And folk sounds very well.

A product of its time I would say. Trying to push being edgy and angsty. Feels pretty British punk. Ok there's Tainted Love! What banger song.

An intimate album that reminds me of the sad times in life.

The guy who called this goblin rock is so right. This is the kinda shit wizards would listen to while pondering the orb. Wtf why are people hating on the flutes, they are sick.

Da funk is off the charts

I thought I would like this but it kinda drags on

Cried first song in so I knew it was going to be good

Not going to lie I love the synth driven backing, the songs sound so good... Then the singing starts. Is there an instrumental only cut?

Now this is gaming

Not a fan of organ rock. It sounds like something a youth pastor band would play.

So chill and groovy. What are they feeding the chicken in that shack?

Old age effortless romance. I don't understand the people saying all the songs sound the same. It's a genre album, they're gonna stick to a theme. Type of album I'd listen to while making a bombass lasagna

Hell yeah

I can see how this has influenced so many things I love but it does get quite repetitive.

It's ok

The samples and loops are so engaging. You get instantly hooked into the world of PE. Lyrics still hit hard. Flavor Flav for president

Very British. Some parts are good but a lot of it gets bland very quickly... very British

The flows kinda wack. Beats are ok. I guess this must have been ground breaking for its time but it just seems like someone immature trying to be edgy for the sake of being edgy.

Insane how well developed his style is for a debut album. Some lyrics have not aged well but the flow is butter.

It's a classic. Sometimes it'll make you cry, sometimes it's the sound of joy

Type of music a modern scallywag would listen to.

Damn is album opens with such a good hook. George's guitar is so good. ... Damn this thing kinda long. I think you need to be in the right metal space and environment to be able to enjoy this album fully. Maybe a long car ride.

It's moody and dark, is this even rock still? None the less I enjoyed it

Nother day, another British album to slog through 🫪🫪. Oi Oi governer, I'm sick and tired of my destitute living situation Oi Oi innit bruv. Ok bro ran out of lyrics and just started yappin

This is just a straight up very good sounding album, no skips. Psychedelic and genre blending. Some absolute classic tracks on this album, I have learnt about a favourite band of mine that I didn't even know existed. This is why this websites is such a cool experience you never know what you'll find.

I enjoyed it but boy does it drag on for a while. I think it's a good background album if you're going about your day and doing other stuff.

Willie Nelson has always been old to me. Very minimal album but a great listen

Yeah this shit goes hard. It's kinda corny at some points but I think its not the artists fault. Some of the songs kinda just reminded me of sitcom intros.

timeless and iconic. I had to listen to this twice because it was so good and ended too quickly.

Damn the arrangement is crazy. It's a confusing album sometimes as the genres seem to change suddenly.

Kinda crazy how they found their formula so early on and have just stuck with it. It's very ok, not as bad as I thought it'd be.

It sounds sloppy but in a good way. Some songs are lo-fi but have a sense of polish. Defo could believe this was made with $10 and some beers

Bruh wtf are these sound effects. First song was literally unlistenable at the beginning. I fuck with the actual band tho, they sound good. Although to be fair, just when I'm like ok I can't listen to this anymore they do manage to pull me back in. This album is pretty ahead of its time.

Funk maxxing

This album was basically my introduction to hip-hop, it holds a very dear place in my heart. I think this has some of their best work

Elliott, my beloved sad boy.

Probably the best Beatles album in terms of production. It does sound like a collage

It's an amazing album but it doesn't capture me like In Rainbows did. Definitely a lot of standouts on the album but it doesn't feel as consistent

Goes on for too long

This sounds like a parody album. The impressions are spot on and that's all I hear hahaha. Ok I'm coming around to this. This fucking fucks like fuck. TAKE EM TO THE MATTHEWS BRIDGE

Felt very tight, great run time. Does not overstay it's welcome. Leaves you wanting more in a good way. In terms of the sound seems like a pretty standard rock affair

I love this album. It's so chill and it takes you for a laidback ride. I think Cosmic Dancer bottles everything good about this album into one song.

Sometimes the English taketh, sometimes they giveth. These album has shaped so much of what metal is and it still sounds amazing. This shit would have put some people into a coma in the 70s, straight up menacing.

It's inoffensive.

It's always some British people playing ska 😭😭. I don't think I needed to hear this before I die

Kinda basic punk rock from today's standards but hey it's still pretty good

Dolly just died and this album comes up... What timing. Absolutely beautiful album. Can't believe it's just their first album together, they worked together so well. Rip Dolly

Other than the title track this kinda sucks.

I can see why people would like it but it's not for me

Neil Young always delivers.

I love this album. So many iconic songs on this album and it has some parts that are just straight up comedy. It feels like they had a lot of fun making this album. Definitely an album to listen to with headphones iykyk

Fun album. Goes on too long

This is so sick. Good humour

I think this is outkasts best album. You can hear their individual voices but they also work together to be something greater than the sum of their parts. It's fun, it's grimy and genre blending.

Good ass grungy shit

Felt raw and real. I enjoyed it

One good song on this album

Nothing lasts forever. It's just a cover album but Johnny transforms each song into something that's his, a dying man reflecting on the life he lead.

Is very ok. Gets boring

It's interesting, goes on for a bit too long

Ran to the reviews as soon as I heard the first track. Definitely decisive. I'm blaming Pixar for ruining this type of music

Now this is just straight up filthy and dirty beats. Holy moly the beat is infectious.

Loved the album, engaged all the way through. A great voice

It's ok, nothing memorable

I think Nirvana were just getting better and better. To me this is their best album and the whole band goes all in. Rip Cobain.

Trying not to be too judgmental towards the throngs of British bands that gets thrown at us from the 1900s. Rambling over music does not make you punk.

I'm really liking how minimal the album is.

It's ok

These guys have only gotten better with age

Flea is da goat. Anthony should not be allowed near any schools.

It's not bad but it's just so boring. The singers voice is just so bland. It's like if you had some nice roast chicken and you go in for a bite and realise it's unseasoned.
