1001 Albums Summary

Not my kind of thing. However there were some interesting instruments used, excellent production values and I actually acclimatised my ears so I was eventually able to understand the 'singer' I can say I've heard it and kind of enjoyed it

An album of good ballads. I could imagine Mr Ackles writing some decent musical theatre... If that's your kind of thing. Which it isn't mine, unfortunately

The kind of music that puts a smile on your face! King Louis put together a truly great album here. I listened to it first thing in the morning and set me right up for the day.

I completely understand why Bruce Springsteen is so popular. I just don't enjoy his work.

Why is this one deemed the classic??

Good debut album by a band I couldn't really care less about.

I'm of an age where hearing the n-word makes me extremely uncomfortable - I always have - and the first 30 seconds of this album turned me off the whole thing. Obviously this album was not meant for me. If it was meant for you then more power to you

Started okay, but track 2 onwards were atonal nightmares! DNF

Gangsta rap... Not my thing being white and English. But I suppose, as songs about gun violence go, this was quite good good

Dull.

There are definitely better albums from British 60s groups, but this one was quite spiffing!

Very much like Iggy Pop & The Stooges, but not as good.

I so didn't want to like this album, Clapton being the douchebag that he has become, but there were too many songs I remember that blew me away 35+ years ago when I first heard Key To the Highway, for example. I love this album. No apologies for that.

Found it quite monotonous, yet quite enjoyable too.

Not my favourite Kinks album, but some really belting lyrics, unusual instruments and the real sense of an album worth listening to
