This is absolute garbage front to back. It’s so bad that I had to write this review for it. Every song sounds exactly the same. I can’t even begin to comprehend how this band got so popular. The only song that is halfway decent is Dancing Queen—surprise surprise.
Started off pretty strong on the first half or so. Wasn't particularly a huge fan of every song, but it was good enough. The second half just wasn't really it though. It felt like Jack made two completely different albums and then just mushed them together, and that second half is the lesser album. Real unfortunate as Jack is a legend, but this album could've been better. Still okay though.
I mean it's ok. I can see how people might enjoy it. The social commentary is good, but the music just isn't for me.
I know the reviews for this album are pretty mixed, but I kinda enjoyed it. It's not the most outstanding album of all time, but I had fun listening to it. The beats, while not daring, were enjoyable and it served well as some background music. Some songs did struggle to really capture your attention or like...go somewhere...but I didn't care most the time.
I was pleasantly surprised with this album. I've never had anything against The Killers and I've enjoyed most of their big singles, but this album rocks. It's probably closer to a 4.5, but I'm not sure if I'd put it at a 5. It very well could be though.

It’s pretty nice. I love Johnny Cash but his older stuff that I’ve heard is more my style. 3.5
Eh. It's good and I like this type of music, but so much of it sounded the same. There were no songs that stood out. I'm not sure if I'd ever listen to it again even though I enjoyed it enough. I can't stomach giving it 2 stars, though.
I'm torn on how to feel about this one. It's not bad, but I don't think it's great? I'd say it's like right down the middle—a 2.5/5 probably. I'm giving it 3 stars, if only because I'm feeling generous.

I was excited to get into Pink Floyd on this list because I've never listened to their albums. Now, all that excitement is gone. First, they cannot sing. Second, what on Earth are some of these songs? Please explain to me how one can listen to "Don't Leave Me Now" and not physically recoil. The singing is absolutely atrocious. However, like numerous songs on this album, the last quarter or so is excellent with Pink Floyd doing what seems to be the only thing they're good at on this album which is shredding their respective instruments for a few minutes with no lyrics.
Then, give me "The Trial." WHAT KIND OF DOODOO FECES GARBAGE IS THIS SONG??? What are we doing???? Why am I suddenly watching a Tim Burton film with a bad Danny Elfman on the beat? Don't get me wrong I love both of them but on a Pink Floyd album?!? I don't care what any Pink Floyd kiss ups try to pull out of their bootyhole to explain how this song actually fits perfectly into the narrative blah blah blah—the song is just plain dumb. Plus there are so many boooooring filler songs. This album is a ripe hour and twenty minutes and the majority of that is just filler of the Floyd boys literally just making noise with no real rhyme or reason. Also, did we really need not one, not two, but THREE parts to "Another Brick in the Wall?" And did we really need to throw in a stupid children's choir in Part 2 on top of it all?
Now, I do have to discuss the good parts, which there wasn't much of for me. First, like I already mentioned, when it's just them in the zone cranking out some melodies without any singing, they truly shine. The last quarter of "Comfortably Numb" was amazing. "Hey You" was definitely one of the better songs on the album (though the singing still sucked for a decent portion of it), and the instrumental break in the middle was great and I quite enjoyed the "Another Brick in the Wall" motifs baked in, much more so than the actual three songs themselves. I also did enjoy the artistic, experimental nature with the fade ins and outs between each song and the weird effects like the persistent phone ringing at the end of some songs, dialogue between random people, etc. Just did we really need to drag all of this on for well over an hour with music in-between sometimes that ranges from outright bad to good enough?
Considering how much people suck up to this band and album, I am thoroughly disappointed. After this, whenever "The Dark Side of the Moon" comes up on my list, I hope I can just fly around it and come right back to Earth like Artemis II.
I'm really torn between a 1 or a 2. I'd say it's like a 1.5/5, but I'll give it 2 stars just because at least there was some decent enough stuff, though few and far between.
Liked this much more so than I thought I would. Only thing is I really can't stand the vocals, they just scream butt rock to me which I can't stand. RIP though. Favorites include "Rain When I Die" and "Rooster." I think "Hate to Feel" is probably the weakest song on the album along with "God Smack." I debated giving this a 3 star rating, but I'll go with 4.
Supremely mid. Not my thing at all and a lot of it just ends up blending together.
I don't know it was kinda forgettable. "Dead Finks Don't Talk" sounds like a low budget meme song.
Really enjoyed this one. Something almost magical feeling about it I don’t know how to explain it.

Pretty garbage. Go write a book instead of making these stupid songs if you’re just gonna talk the whole time and put terrible music over it. You know they’re stupid when their Spotify bio has a typo in the first sentence: “The Velvet Underground were largely ignored during HEIR original run from the mid-'60s into the early '70s, but few bands would cast as long a shadow in terms of innovation and influence.” Absolutely one of the worst albums I’ve ever had the misfortune of subjecting my ears to.
I finally get the hype for Radiohead after not listening to their music for way too long.
I had a decent time with this. Nothing super outstanding to me but it was enjoyable. Definitely overstayed its welcome though. Could've been 20 or 30 minutes shorter.
It started off pretty good on the first two songs but then just devolved into boringness for the rest of the album. Maybe just not my thing, but I also think there’s certainly a non-zero chance that many people love(d) this album for the cover.
Originally was thinking a 3, but after skimming through some of the songs again, it's a pretty fun album. I don't think it's absolutely amazing or perfect by any means, but it's pretty enjoyable to listen to with others around as background/party music. Definitely some of the better stuff to come out of the yacht rock era.
An hour and thirteen minutes of absolute torture. Even the singles, which are probably some of the better songs on the album somehow, are so bad. The album is actually headache inducing for me. It reminds me of being in the back of my dad’s car and roasting in the heat as the A/C barely kicks in having to listen to this stupid band on the radio. I genuinely think this album could be used by the US military as a torture method. I know for a fact that if I had to listen to this dude sing over and over again about how freaky he is and wants to be with women AGAIN all my secrets are coming out immediately. Even if they just played “Sir Psycho Sexy” again and ESPECIALLY “They’re Red Hot,” I might just have a heart attack.

It’s fine but nothing too amazing. There’s a few songs that I thought definitely sucked but others that were pretty good. Most the album was just inbetween though. Definitely not the worst thing I’ve listened to, but definitely not the best. Rounding up from a 2.5/5.
I debated giving it a 4 because some of the songs end up sounding pretty similar, but I enjoyed this album too much. It might be my favorite Bobby D album I’ve listened to. He once again demonstrates why he’s considered one of the best songwriters of all time.
Ehhh it was fine but nothing really memorable. I listened a few hours ago and I honestly don't remember any of the songs. Certainly no songs were added to my playlist. I'll go 3 because it was fine enough but I'd probably never listen again.
Absolutely amazed by this album. Everything from the writing to even the features with people like John Legend and Kanye West who I typically don't care for, especially the latter, were great.
