Almost lost me with the never ending guitar solo on the last song

3.5 stars. Transported me back to driving around Atlanta listening to 92.9 Dave FM Atlanta’s only alternative station nothing but the nineties weekends

Not for me, but can also acknowledge that this album was not made for me.

This album was an emotional roller coaster. First I was mildly horrified, then was worried it was some southern pride wave the confederate flag nonsense, then it very much wasn’t? I didn’t like the main guys voice, but found it to largely be inoffensive southern rock musically?

Wide range of styles of songs - didn’t know the Smashing Pumpkins could also do soft. Generally enjoyed.

I really don’t have too much to say. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Sounded a little like the Beatles at times.

I will always have a soft spot for Van Morrison. I already know Moondance will be a five star album for me. But can’t say that this one particularly stood out to me - classic Van Morrison vibes, I had a good time but no really stand out songs.

Didn’t really discover anything new about The Band listening to this album. I liked the songs I already knew (Up in Cripple Creek) but nothing else really jumped out at me.

Was Frank Sinatra a total creep? Yes. Do all of his lyrics hold up in the modern day? No, absolutely not. But for me it’s still the soundtrack of love and romance, the earliest one I learned as a little girl standing on my grandfathers feet as we spun around the dance floor and feeling like the most special person in the universe. Also how can you not just giggle during Making Whoopee.

Just no.

I feel like this would be very enjoyable on acid, but since I’m not enjoyment was more limited.

Not The Police’s strongest showing. A couple solid songs, but also a couple that were quite strange.

Middle school me would have been all over this. I’ve always liked Girl, was fun to discover several additional songs.

Don’t hate me

Not my favorite collection of Johnny Cash songs but I do love a live concert album and he really does have a one of a kind voice.

Fun fact, they are in the wrong order in this picture (Crosby is on the right and Nash is on the left). They only realized after they took the photo and when they went back to retake it the house where they’d been taking the pictures had been bulldozed. Anyways, any band that can be described as three people singing in intricate harmony is going to have my endorsement and albums like this are why Spotify thinks I’m 71 years old.

I kind of love the idea of funky aliens. I probably won’t ever return to this album, but the beats were infectious and it did make me smile.

The most Clash sounding album by The Clash where every song was obviously The Clash but somewhat indistinguishable from the other songs.

Exactly what I expected to receive from a Talking Heads album

Felt like the lead character in an 80’s movie the entire time

A few redeeming moments kept this from being a total snooze fest.

Just fun from beginning to end.

Listened, enjoyed listening and then realized about 30 minutes after finishing the album that I did not remember a single thing about it, not one single moment from one single song. Might have discovered the most neutral of neutral albums.

What a strange listening experience

I don’t know why I was so surprised by the sound of the music when they literally have the word “blues” in the band name. Super interesting and different sound.

This whole album felt like being dropped into a story in media res. Made it very compelling to keep listening to try and figure out what the story was. Never got an answer

A lot of fun, was head bopping along the entire album. Energy was just as high for the songs I didn’t know beforehand as the ones I did.

I’m very surprised I did not listen to more Arcade Fire in high school because my Vampire Weekend, Phoenix loving teenage self would have been all over this.
