Most people will probably listen to this without looking deeper into the actual meaning of the entire album and give it a low rating. It comes with themes of confidence, generational trauma, self-doubt, and social anxiety. Some of the songs are growers and others you like right away. The Brat remix album is also incredible. I suggest you check that out if you dig this. Those grammy wins are 100% deserved.

I'm surprised that Slowdive isn't even in the original list. This record, or their self titled, should be in there at least. Incredible record.

I submitted this album, so I should probably have a mini book typed up on why I like it, right??? I’ll try and do a short version. The intro to this record is incredible. The intro guitar riff gets me every time. And then those drums, that drum beat, even throughout the song, is incredible. George’s scream vocals, wow, WOW. Then when Dallas comes in???? Fuck me up man. GANG VOCALS???!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THIS. *ahem* sorry, got excited. But that’s basically how I feel about this entire record. The guitar riffs throughout are incredible. The drums are amazing. Even some of the baselines are incredible. George and Dallas going back and forth from screaming to singing, and the mix. The overall soundscape of this record is just so neat to me. No other band really sounds like this. If they do then let me know lol. And then that final song, Happiness By The Kilowatt???? *chefs kiss* even when Dallas plays it solo under City & Colour it’s an unbelievable song.
