Listens,: 1 Enjoyed: no I feel l Ike I've been had of this week. Endless mix of poor depressing music
Listened before: No Enjoyed: No Listens: 1 Only got the chance to listen to this one once and didn't really take anything away from it
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: No I try to give each album at least two listens but this type of sad goth rock just isn't for me
Listens: 4 Enjoyed: Meh It just feels disgustingly American, from the hope to the mourning. It feel like Springsteen just did a massive line of eagle blood. The fact it's inspired by 9/11 just makes it even worse, sorta just inappropriate. There are a few decent standalone songs that may be added to my playlist but the project as a whole gives a very weird vibe Would be a very low 3
Listened before: no Enjoyed: yes Listened: 4 times Excellent vibe, introduced me to a whole world of trip hop I look forward to delving in to
Listened before - Yes Enjoyed - yes
The band and backing music is excellent but the vocals just feel wrong. Probably not helped by the fact he's a massive wanker
Listened before: no Enjoyed: yes Listened: 4 times Excellent vibe, introduced me to a whole world of trip hop I look forward to delving in to
Good album, varying songs to listen too, not the greatest not the worst opens up to blues and rock alternatives
Listened before: no Enjoyed: yes Listens: 5
Listened before: no Enjoyed: I think Listened: 3 times felt it was a bit depressing the first 2 times. The third listen had my full attention and I fully appreciated the quiet, mellow sound What goes on & Pale Blue eyes stood out
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Yes Listens: 5 1st half of the album excellent but for me it falls off on the last 4 tracks. If I could give decimals it'd be a pretty high 4.75
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Meh, no strong feeling either way Listens: 2
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Not really Listens: 1 Again the backing music was pretty cool but the singing and lyrics did nothing for me
Listened before: No Enjoyed: No Listens: 1 Only got the chance to listen to this one once and didn't really take anything away from it
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Yes Listens: 3 Very much enjoyed
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Yes Listens: 4 Great until the small cover of Amazing Grace
Listened before: No Listens: No Enjoyed: Yes
Listened before: no Enjoyed: yes Listens: 1 Unfortunately didn't get to listen to this as much as I'd have liked and my only listen wasn't in the same sitting. Looking forward to delving into this one a bit more this weekend
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Not really Listens: 1 Just didn't do much for me
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Yes Listens: 2 Some good tunes here and some that are pretty skipable but definitely one worth coming back to
Listened before: No Enjoyed: Yes Listens: 2 Never really listened to The Smiths before, but this was pretty good and I'm excited to delve deeper
Enjoyed: yeah Listens: 3 Not particularly something I'd rush back too, not that it was bad, it just didn't stand out besides one or two songs
Enjoyed: No Listens: 2 Just wasn't for me, felt messy at times and I couldn't connect
Enjoyed: yes Listens: 4, 3 English edition and 1 German Something quite hypnotic about this one. It feels so simple and yet album just feels like a 36 minute trip. This would be a very high 4 star. I'm sure after a few more listens it could have breached 5
Enjoyed: no Listens: 2 Just not my vibe I can see why someone else could find something in it. The voice is very eccentric, complimenting the music beautifully, it's more just annoying to me
Enjoyed: yes Listens: 3 Not his best album. Instrumentals are definitely the high points here
Enjoyed: yes Listens: 2 Didn't really enjoy it on my first listen through a speaker. My second try with earphones really helped the experience. Everything felt very tight and calculated. Will defo go back to this at some point
Enjoyed: yes Listens: 2 Wasn't two bad, just sounds like it was made for musical theatre
Enjoyed: No Listens: 1 Is this the reason depression diagnosis' have raised in the last 22 years? I can't say for sure, but I certainly took bigger risks when crossing the roads today
Enjoyed: yeah Listens: 3 Pretty solid album tbf
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: meh 2 stars feels harsh but 3 was way too high. Couldnt round it up to 3 considering some of the album's I've rated 3 so far. It wasn't even a particularly bad album it just wasn't very good either
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: Yeah The beats on this were something special. The two MCs complimented eachother excellently however I didn't personally connect with any of the lyrics. I'm going to give this another try though and delve into their back catalogue
Listens: 2 Enjoyed I think so It was the most clear concept album so far in terms of storytelling and I quite like that. But the style just isn't for me. If you told me this was a skit I would fully accept it. Sort of feels like an early noughties version of 'People just do nothing' Fit but you know it' feels like the point Incel became mainstream 'Dry your eyes' is by far the best on the album. It suits his voice and is an excellent climax
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: no This just isn't for me
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: n Just not great. It felt like everything bad about coldplay was intensified
Listens,: 1 Enjoyed: no I feel l Ike I've been had of this week. Endless mix of poor depressing music
Listens: 5 Enjoyed: yes This is one I've always meant to give a listen to. The album is perfectly orchastrated and has such a soothing vibe
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: No
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: Not really It felt very chaotic and often a strange mix between folk and rock. The shriekiness of her voice mixed with the chaos of the band just isn't for me
Listens: 1.5 Enjoyed: Not really The chorus and the beats are half decent. The verses not so much. Not too sure of the Kanye timeline as I'm not really a fan but this feels significant in his mental unravelling
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: yeah, more of a guilty pleasure type of enjoy A weird mix between pop and rock. I feel like the Lumineers took the same template and went with a softer as this leans more into rock. Sort of feels like a good introduction to rock for children
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: No I try to give each album at least two listens but this type of sad goth rock just isn't for me
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: yeah There was something intriguing about this that I can't quite figure out. It almost felt like a soundtrack to some strange play or musical. The change in tempo for various lyrics defo peaked my interest
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: Mostly I think it has some highs and lows. It probably could have been a shorter listening time and increased its rating by removing a song or two. The highs aren't worth mentioning as they're the pretty obvious ones. I'd say a pretty high 3 stars
Listens: 4 Enjoyed: I gues Did particularly stand out. Obviously stunning music and a stunning voice but not a significant piece of work in my eyes
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: Yes Very relaxing/ groovy but doesn't really stand out too me. Don't really have anything particularly good or bad to say. Not sure if it's something I'd actively put on but I wouldn't skip it either
Listens: at least 5 Enjoyed: yeah Gave this a few extra listens as I was tempted to give it a 5. However I just feel like something's missing. I appreciate it as a masterpiece and would definitely go back to it. I just didn't connect with it, I didn't love. But it would be a very very high 4
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: not really The beats alone would be pretty good, not something I'd actively seek out though. I also think the music was stronger in areas where there were no lyrics Probably a very low 3
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: not really I appreciate this is a very good album but it really doesn't do a lot for me
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yes There's something electrifying here that most live albums just don't seem to grasp. Everything is smooth and perfect even down the crowds reactions. I don't think a studio version would reach where this does
Listens:2 Enjoyed: I think If I had been up to date on albums I may have gave this a third listen before reviewing. It was definitely a refreshing album with a completely different vibe to many ive had so far. I think a third may have pushed the rating up
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: Yes Surprised how much I enjoyed this one to be honest. The highs are very high and the lows are slightly above average. The balance between dance and rock is excellent. Im going for 4*s, ideally I'd go for a very high 3.5 and 3 seems way too low so 4 it js
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: I didn't hate it Most of the album just seems messy. The last track is the highlight
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: Yes I'd have liked to give this another listen or two but couldn't justify it with being a few days behind and the album being over an hour. Its a very strong album with only one or two tracks preventing it from being perfect
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: fuck yeah Never really delved into Gang Starr but fuck this is a great album. I don't think there is a single skipable track
Listens: 2 Enjoyed Meh The music is excellent and creates such a relaxing vibe. I'm just not really a fan of his vocals especially over this type of music
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: No Just not really for me. It seemed pretty tight and I can see why people may view this as a great album
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yes Nice and chilled. Not a lot more to say. Arguably a perfect album
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: yes 4 tracks in and I'm listening to 'Lets call the whole thing off' before I'm hooked and stop questioning if I can do 3 hours. There's something so relaxing within this music. Ella's voice is insane and the majority of the writing is fantastic
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: Definitely I was uhming and arghing about what to rate this. But honestly, I can't flaw it. The lack of lyrics on some tracks makes it almost psychedelic as you focus on how tight and rhythmic it all is and the whole album just makes you want to dance
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah Starts better than it ends. Some great tracks but not a particularly great album Woulda been a 3.5
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: not really Just not for me, one or two tracks were okay but I weren't feeling it enough for a second listen
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: yeah Not too much to say here. The beauty in The Beatles is that the lyrics are so simple anyone could have written it, including a child. Which obviously means some tracks are gonna be less than great also. For the record it would be a very low 4
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: Yeah I can't really fault any of these tracks. A solid rock album which should have had more hits
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: no Again, just not really for me. Not enough in it to intrigue me for a second listen. The music is pretty cool but the lyrics and voice are just a huge pass
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: yeah
Iistens: 4 Enjoyed: yeah Got some great tracks but doesn't particularly stand out to myself as a whole project
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: meh Nothing really stood out to me here. Would be a 2.5
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: meh Band was tight with a few good tracks but not really for, would be around 2.5
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah Very relaxing - can't fault it at all tbh. First track feels like a The Sims loading screen so I'm fully here for that
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: meh first time listening to Def Leopard and they really aren't what I've always imagined them to be. This album starts off pretty mellow and soft to slow becoming a bit harder. I had a few moments of enjoyment here but ultimately I don't think I'd actively seek it out in the future
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah Something about this doesn't work as an album for me but many of the songs are great as a stand alone. It's psychedelic rock style is excellent
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah This would be around a 4.5. probably my first rock opera and I fel it works pretty solid as both an album and it holds some legendary singular tracks. My only issues were some of the song transitions were a bit rough/ blunt. And the final quarter of the track dived a little
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah A nice chilled listen but didn't really stand out for me. I wouldn't skip it in future but don't think I'll race back to queuing it up
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: bits and pieces The album doesn't start off great. The style of Hair of the Dog threw me off. The change in vocal style across the album really confused me. I feel he nails it on some but others just let down the decent backing. However I do feel this would grow on me after a few listens. It would be a high 2
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: it was alright Not really for me but I appreciate it's pretty good. The beats were pretty cool and I'm surprised if never heard of it
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: Yeah Fantastic album with great storytelling and I'm a sucker for sad songs made to feel uplifting So close to a 5
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah Nice chill album, great for background noise
Had one play through and it's seems pretty good, I wish it was a bit more accessible
Listens: 3 Enjoyed : Yeah Very clearly a great album but it's not something I would ever go back to. I don't see a circumstance where this sets the necessary vibe for me
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah Nice chilled out vibe - got me excited for Barbecue weather
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: not really for me Would be a high 2 I guess. I just felt something was missing - possibly a couple of beers
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: yeah Never really listened to The Jam but have always intended to. There's some excellent tracks here. David Watts and English Rose really stood out for me. Can't wait to delve it further to these
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: it's okay Definitely preferred the more melodic tracks - just don't think heavy metal is for ke
Listens: 4 Enjoyed: yeah Feels really experimental and a great prelude for what we know followed. So excellent tracks here
Listens: 1 Enjoyed: I just can't This type of American rock does nothing for me. They need to repeal either the first or second amendment - no wonder little goth kids are so sad
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: yeah sort of Something screams warm up act to me but the type that makes you keep paying for the main act just to see them. I can't even state what was particularly appealing but there was something pullin me back
Listens: 4 Enjoyed: yes Just an absolute classic
Listened before: No Listens: 5ish Something keeps drawing me back to this one and I'm not quite sure what. It's a very nice chilled vibe
Listens: 3 Enjoyed: yes Very high 4 stars. She has such power in her voice and just doesn't miss
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yeah
Listens: 2 Enjoyed: yes Theres a beauty here - a mixture of two genres which should never be integrated but is done in such a way to make it feel so right
Just found his voice very irritating tbh. Stand outs are Wouldn't Mama be Proud, Can't make a Sound and reading up on him, seemed like an interesting fella with an intriguing death
First album I didn't finish, it absolutely reeked of nepotism and boy was i not shocked after a bit of googling How do you make music this depressing when your grandad is an oscar winner
Absolutely terrifyingly good album. Dr John sets the tone, does what he needs and leaves without prolonging it Can't wait to trip to this
Pretty solid album really
The voice is obviously incredible and the album flows really well. However, as a result it just felt like one really long song - The sad solo song from a mid 20th century movie that you recognise as decent but just wish it would speed up a little
Absolutely unreal first half and last track finishes it off on a high point. It's clear to see how this influences and leads the way However it should be remembered Steven Tyler should be in jail and for that reason it can't be 5 stars
What a voice - very much just have to stop what you're doing and listen. Very high 4 stars
Clearly a decent album, I just cant make my mind up on the voice - I don't know if I like it or hate it but I do know its moody and he's a cunt
The speed and rythym are fantastic creating an excellent beat but I just can't deal with the screaming in front of it
One I've always wanted to listen too but never got around to. A nice chilled out trippy vibe
Not enough here
Morrisey is a cunt, his voice appears way too much on this list
Side one was significantly better for me than the second
Very chilled and relaxing - will give this another go
Just cant deal with his voice, so grating and moody
Excellent album and sound but nothing really stood out to me as exceptional
I just don't get how they're so acclaimed
An absolutely fun pop-punk ride here. It gets a little tired when it gets too 'bubbly' but one of the best discoveries I've had here so far
Definitely something here - will definitely play it back - I can't help myself stood out 3.5
Bit embarrassing - could not take it seriously
A few Instrumentals stood out as stunning especially 'One' & 'To live is to Die' would enjoy playing a game like Dynasty Warriors with that in the background But I don't think its something I'd listen to again - The vocal style just grinds on me
Masterpiece
Its not perfect but its pretty close - would likely be around a 4.75 Its clearly targeted to a very specific audience which is resulting in some low scores but I don't think this is a flaw in itself
Just a very solid album - high 4 stars
Voice is phenomenal but the album should be 15-20 mins shorter
Solid album shame they're all sexual assaulters and nonces
Jesus that drum solo blew me away at the end then Be about 3.5
Kinks rarely miss
