1001 Albums Summary

I liked the riffs and vocal performances, but wish a remastered edition existed. The mixing and sound was an issue.

Some classic songs (beautiful, natural woman), some that didn’t age well in this era (smackwater jack), though they all work together in what is an extremely cohesive piece of music.

Santana is a master of guitar. No notes.

The fact that this was created in like a 4 month span and released a couple months later is a testament to George’s dedication to his craft. This post Beatles album really showcases his songwriting abilities as well as his ability to create such immersive sounds. Need to dive deeper, but the seed is set.

Amazing opener. Folky vibes throughout. Solid 30 minutes.

Not really feeling what Morrison is doing vocally. Closer feels like it should’ve been the opener.

Some cool stuff, collabs with company flow was dope.

Breaking the LAW!!!

Felt like I was on a mythic quest. Classic.

Iggys mix is the definitive way to hear it. Made me realize how inspired music has been by the stooges. Good fucken album.

I need to plug back into the matrix. The vibes are right. Chemical brothers live is a vibe. I’m coming back.

I fuck with it. As prevalent as the who have been, I’ve never paid them much mind. The who sells out felt like a culmination of all the styles of that era, yet putting their own spin on things. I definitely vibe with it. Willl return.

“The day the niggaz took over” might be the greatest song Dre has ever created. I think this where Sublime got the inspiration for April 29th. I lied, “a Nigga witta gun” goes incredibly HARD!! This instrumental is beautiful. The “rat-tat-tat-tat” instrumental is in some scooby do shit. Fire.

Where. Is. My. Mind. “And die”!! - No I was saying it to Kim. She said “touch my shit” and I finished her sentence.

Chill vibes. Late 90s matrix style dance music.

Cult of personality is forever a classic. Funny vibe goes hard, as does the remix with Prince Paul. Open Letter (To a Landlord) has quintessential 80s vocals. Glamour Boys have it all under control.

Some big hits (shout, rule the world, head over heels), as well as songs that blend into one another.

Very experimental. Need to dive deeper into it.

Love it, but not my favorite Radiohead album. Jigsaw falling into place is my favorite Radiohead song though.

Reminded me of a lot of great music, which means this too is amazing. Rudy is my favorite.

Atticus Ross. Cool.

Lots to pull from musically.

Jazz classic.

Classic 80s music. Panama, Hot for Teacher, Jump still hit as hard today as when I heard them as a teenager. The boys were locked in!!

Structurally brilliant. Songs flow in and out of each other, production is incredible. Politically still relevant, and seemingly will be for the foreseeable future.

Really only liked the last half of the album. The single is a classic.

Undoubtedly god tier.

Sue is incredible. Album as a whole is amazing, but I myself might not be able to absorb the whole scale of it.
