"Dirty Work" is such a fucking bop, couldn't stop myself from tapping my foot in the middle of a quiet library to that one. The piano is also just too good throughout the entire album - almost feels like moderately sad ragtime. Overall, this album is definitely a solid 8/10 (I am giving it some bonus points because it's not my favorite genre but still kept me entertained)
It's a solid album, I admit I have overlistened to it so it doesn't slap like it used to but I still think it warrants a 4/5
Opening the album with "The Man Comes Around" was great - especially with that spoken word intro that slowly fades into the actual song. "Hurt" is, of course, one of the most incredible songs I will have ever listened to on so many levels. "Give My Love To Rose" is just Me and Bobby McGee? "In My Life" is a Beatles cover I didn't know I needed in my life.

Quite mad that to admit that half of these songs I just didn't vibe with, but half of them are just so damningly fun and have sexy guitar riffs (cough cough Plaistow Patricia). I definitely want to rate it closer to a 4 but I have to give it a 3 for the time being.
I have to admit that at first this album minimally caught my attention - however, I gave it a fair shot because I love the song "Chicago" and holy shit what a great decision that was. This album was so gentle and powerful at the same time and I was genuinely amazed by the almost choral nature of some of the songs. Album cover is a little spooky tho.

Do I even have to say that "Layla" and "Bell Bottom Blues" carried? I think that's a given under the circumstances.
Honestly, was very whelmed by this album. It was definitely good but I found it to just be a very basic 70s rock album and not much stood out to me except for those particular songs. It has to be a strong 3 to a light 3.5 from me.

I'm literally so mad. Adele is literally divorced, white-mom music - and yet it's one of the better albums I've heard on here. In fact, I would say this is one of those rare albums that leaves me genuinely dumbfounded with how well put together it is. Am I turning into a white mom? Do all my tacos contain corn now? Do my seasonings come directly from the box, if at all? How many signs do I have in my house about drinking wine? Is it possible I have kids and, if so, do I hate them and think about drinking wine all day?
