KIWANUKA
Michael Kiwanukai love the low sounds and undertones .also the voice is top notch and i could maybe find myself in future listening to him more .Album is maybe a 7/10 or maybe I did not appreciate it enough

The Album was good on first listen . Would reccomend to beginners of this particular sound . Although the spund becomes repetitive more into the record
I mean I loved the sound and the moood on the first 20 minute song . I think with more listens I could appreciate the sound more. Highlight was "Tears".
love the guitars and the voice
I loved the drums and the guitars
very good sounds would recommend
felt like an inconmplete mixture between like classical 80s pop and 90s hiphop
not my most preffered but I can see why people may love or hate it
not bad
i feel like beginning is good but the sound almost is sort of copy pasted on every track not that am complaining
not bad
very good record
maybe not a fan of heavy metal and type but the album was a fun listen. Electric funeral was the highlight
mmm not my best listen especially the voice but i love the percussions and instruments
I mean its a solid country record but i think there are better out there.
very good chill and emotional indie album but i think there re better by lana out there.yosemite, wild at heart,or in short from track 3 to 7 was wonderful
not the top rock records i have heard but could be up there with more listens
was not bad
mmmmm i did not enjoy it that much
It's actually a decent record for background and dance vibes of some sort
Not my best listen but is better than their other record on this project
not my cup of tea..sorry
Don't hate it and not my favourite
wow better than I expected
just a nice pop sort of album with not that much standing out
I mean a very solid record but i don't think anymore than that .highlights were king eternal and maybe a controversial opinion but ambulance with the vocals was very good for me
Enjoyed it a lot actually .Especially the middle of the record, the three track run from "You took the words right of my mouth" which is a classic to "Heaven can wait" to "All revved up with no place to go" to "Two out of three Ain't bad" which was by far my favourite
i mean i get the hype but was not for me personally
i mean i love the chill vibes but too blunt even after multiple listens
i feel some tracks are rememberable but its a pretty dull listen all through
Was a fun listen but if felt it became kind of repetitive
I liked their sound and instrumentation especially on tracks such as "Sweet talkin' woman" , and "across the border " . But overall I felt that after a while the tracks started to almost sound similar with rapid instrumentation and the sort of laid back vocals. Similarly I don't know whether it's the fact that it is almost two hours long or the fact that it is a double album but , the second half of the record really let me down especially the most famous track on the project "Mr Blue sky". But the closer was good.
I personally likmed the album and although i don't have many musical opinions about it it just works
not bad but also not my best listen
I like more of his albums better than this particular snooze fest
love the south african vibes but other than that it was not a refined record in my opinion
pretty much not the best sound to listen to. Few high points but the record sounded similar from start to finish
I mean it's Alright don't get me wrong but I feel that there could have been more.
meh. Not my style but has potential with a few replays
I really loved the sound and i wish there was more biut a little bit more refined
I mean its okay but more could have been
its good but bot more
I really liked it . I don't know how but it just does it for me
Very good I would say.
I loved the sound and probably will become one of my favorite albums over time . Sylvia and the title track were good listens
Just listenable but not terrible I guess
I really liked the album but deep down I just wish it was a little shorter and more refined .
solid
For a person who does not like metal or rock it was not that bad and it was really enjoyable. Maybe a sign of more to come but i don't know
For me , this record incites several mixed responses from me . First I was very shocked to learn that this was not pre-1990 since i thought the sound was very synonymous with those eras of rock. In terms of the tracklisting , the record started off very strong fell of in the middle and trying to make something of an end to it. But my biggest contrast was me loving the instrumentation so much but not giving a care about the lyrics. But somehow I liked very much compared to other similar records I've been recommended
Well...
I mean its good don't get me wrong but it starts to feel repetitive after some time . I don't know whether to associate this with length of songs and overall regord or just the artistry itself
Mixed feelings about this one. I like the sound but it starts to wander into repetitive, in the middle of the record . Then in the end they find a way to make it a little more interesting bar for the last song which I couldn't care for . Overall a good record that sometimes has tracks that wander between too short or a bit longer than expected . Favourite track - "I'll be your mirror"
Sounds like most basic bands from that time and period with very little going for them in my opinion though the music wasn't that bad
Awesome album . No skips . I loved it so much . Especially how the songs just start of nice with an underlying piano instrumental and some vocals and gradually increase the energy and the instrumentalism . Probably one of my favorite records so far from this list
Definitely a solid album but just lacks a little bit more energy for me
Now this is an album you need or may I say must hear before you die . From the opening guitar riffs to the loud spacious drumming and instrumentation to the singer spacy vocals , the album caught my attention from start to finish albeit a few tracks in the middle run.
Good album . Slightly overlooked from my side and I love it , though not very much .
I see the appeal it has on some people since it is a great record, but it doesn't do it for me. It's just plain and lacks more from a music perspective for me to rate it any higher
I mean it's just meh
guess it was better than most I think rock records
One of the best albums I've heard. It sort of invokes a certain feeling of evening tunes to listen to after a rough day . Loved the instrumentation and the vocals were top notch. Favourites have to be marley put drive and Edison
I like it but and its very replayable.
Very fun record and for a person who has actually grown up in a similar environment , it invoked a lot of memories
Solid record if you're going for background music.
I honestly like it but it's too damn long
Awesome record from start to finish and I liked it very much
Solid but not for me
Awesome record from start to finish and all I wanted to do after playing it was play it again . Favourites were "Thinking about you" "Forrest Gump" "Pilot Jones" and "Lost"
It was alright and it serves it's purpose but no more. Favourites were "wait untill tomorrow" and "you got me floating"
Very good record
This was a very good record. Highlights were the title track, "sigourney weaver " and "outer space" .
very solid record
Good I guess
Great record and and love the fact that although there are a lot of songs , they are of the perfect length and very precise
Very solid record . Favourite tracks "long as I can see the light" and "Run through the jungle"
Now I had heard of Green Day and a few songs but I had never heard a record front to back . Title track was good but lemme say this , the run from track 2 "Jesus of surbubia " to the awesome double songs up to "Give me Novacaine/She's A Rebel" and the last two tracks , were some of the best pieces of music I've heard in my life. Only concern was the length of some tracks, but very good record.
Aaaah Permission To land . You are permitted to land . This was a damn good record. From front to back , no skips , they somehow managed to keep my attention all through, while blasting some very good music through my ears. Favourite tracks were "Get your hands off my woman (obviously) " "Growin on me" and "Givin up"
Good record just not for me
Very enjoyable record. The guitar riffs and the vocals are very addictive. Favorite tracks are "Prowler" and "Running free"
Instant classic from front to back, no skips . Now this is an album I needed to hear.
Solid record except the second half which was a bit of a let down . Loved the guitar works and the instrumentation.
I thought its was pretty good but not that good enough to warrant some more listens. Pretty basic metal in my opinion.
Honestly ,Ten tracks of some of the best music ever to grace my ears. Although I think this is not his best work, and he had yet to nail his sound , this was a damn good trial. Favourites were "Girlfriend" and "Working day and night"
One of the best records I've heard.
Awesome record. Infusion of Agnetha and Frida's vocal to the production from the guys was a match made in heaven . It keeps making someone come for more and more, Dum Dum fiddle was a bop , "Knowing me Knowing you" as a mature break up song was very good . "Dancing Queen " is always a hall of fame song."Thats me", and the Title track were also awesome.
Honestly a very solid record , just a shame her voice didn't click with me.
Heard of David Bowie before this and a lot of praise showered in him. Unfortunately even though I really liked the record, it just didn't click with me. I though his voice was really bland and mind you I'm not hating in any way. A few favorites include "Kooks" , "Fill your Heart" and the wonderful closer "The Bewlay Brothers" .
A very good record just not a classic enough.
I couldn't really get into this album for whatever reason. Couldn't decide whether its the length of 31 tracks and almost 2 hours, or themes and the lyrics which are not the best to hear.
Second Johny cash album . While the first one was one of his later works , something didn't ignite in me to like him more than I did. This piece of work made a litlle but insignificant change on my opinion of his music. Though this was better than the last one . All I could say for now.
In an alternate universe this album could be one of my favourites but it's not . Not taking anything away from it , its just alright .
A very good album . I had not liked his previous suggestion on this list , which I believe was "Darkness on the edge of Town" . But this , I fell in love immediately . I believe his voice is much better and the instrumentation has stepped up a bit. The lyrics too are able to be on par and the combination of all those elements is very pleasing. Favourite tracks were "Cover me' , " Working on the highway" , "No surrender " and the very soothing closer "My Hometown" .
An absolutely wonderfuk record from start to finish , and one of the very few from this lst i go back to once in a while.
Solid record.
Had never heard of this artist beforehand and am glad to have heard tis record . A very solid attempt at creating a chill sort of soft rock country infusion album that receives a lot of praise for me.
Pretty much what I expected an album by a band from this time to sound but it wasn't that bad ,Its just something I'll see coming back to often
Very poor in quality
There are both better and worse records out there than this piece of work.
Solid record, solid voice ,solid writing and storytelling and wonderful instrumentation.
I really enjoyed the record but the length was just a bit too long for me.
Honestly very mixed reactions about this record. "Verspertine" by "Bjork" has been the crown jewel of many music enthusiasts and has been very highly recommended alike. Considering I had already listened to "Debut" , I expected much improvement from that record . Safe to say not what I had exoected and considering the hype , a bit low in quality. But that does not take away from the fact that it is good in its own right , just not at this time for me.
Honestly a damn good record. Loved the sampling and even though i hated the shouting or rapping , it came around to me eventually
Well more of a realistic pillow . Its by good luck that I didn't fall asleep listening to this.
Couldn't determine whether it was the mixing. or that the vocals could barely be heard but am sure deep down its a wonderful record.
A damn good record . Favourite song is "He's Misstra know it All"
Awesome record , although it may sound like a less cohesive record . or even a bit messy. This may be a decisive factor to someone but i feel it adds to the appeal of the record and even that of the band, be it a big part of their personazlity.
Solid record. Very good highs and mostly very consistentin quality all through out.
First impressions , having paramore as on of my favourite bands really helped. I instantly fell in love with the record and it was flawless from end to end . Though there was not a standout track or high moment , it was really enjoyable. Favorite track was "Soldier's Poem"
Pretty enjoyable if you don't make too much of it.
Very good debut record and very consistent in quality.
Honestly I have no idea what to say even . It's ust not good.
Really surprisingly liked the record. The lenght of the songs , though one may argue is not enough time to fully develop a song's idea , was really good for me . Hope to hear from this duo more
Was it enjoyable? Yes Was it good? Debatable Am I ashamed ? No
Oh wow! What a groovy album . One may say its repetitive or sounds like a basic 90s R&B album , but that's what I love about it . The funk , the underlying bases , his soothing voice , the dirty but progressive lyrics almost brings a sense of nostalgia . This is a baby making album and is very sexy in nature.
Major label debut album and second studio album by Compton born rapper Kendrick Lamar. A record that continues on the themes present in his debut album but in a more profound way. Though not considered his magnum opus , it's is a very capable record in it's own . Framed around the build of a short film , it employs the use of skits and very vivd storytelling to push it's story and boy dose it do this emphatically. From the stories on tracks such "Sherane " and "The art of peer pressure" , the themes on "Bitch don't kill my vibe " , "Poetic Justice" and the star of the show "Sing About me am Dying of thirst" , the album is able to keep your attention and the production is clearly a high priority . A lot can be said that can't be contained in this short of a review but it is considered on e of the best hip hop and rap albums to date and will for a long time.
Honestly just a bland reggae record considering the bar set by Bob Marley himself on other much better records. This was much mire true considering the major hit on the album "No Woman No Cry" wasn't the live version.
Second Byrds record after "Mr Tambourine Man" and I didn't like the country shtick or direction they tried to take with this record . I feel country rock records are kind of a hit or miss and this one completely fell on its head to say the least. The production was poor or basic and compared to their psychedelic type voices , I more than once almost fell asleep and being able to finish the record was a miracle in itself.
Pretty boring to be honest . I couldn't make any positive thing from this record and not to mention the few instrumental tracks sprinkled here and there. Even when there are vocal perfomances , they are pretty much bland and devoid of any quality.
Absolutely emphatic album. The length of the record and of some songs but my oh my is it justified after listening . I simply have no words other than it may be arguably his best album to me . Favorite tracks were "The ballad of Dorothy Parker" " Forever in my life" "I could never take the place of your man " and the wonderful " SLow love"
Quite didn't like their debut record and first record I interacted with on this list "Definitely Maybe" and am afraid with that prior knowledge I couldn't get this record , or even fully appreciate it as it deserves. Mind you am not saying its bad but it's just not for me .
Absolutely wonderful and stupendous record. Treading a line between jazz, blues and swing requires a lot of quality which this is able to match.
This is one of those albums , irregardless of quality , is either a hit or miss for you sonically . It is not a bad album in any right and some people may consider it as one of their all time favourites , but it's just not for me.
Pretty good but .
I surprisingly enjoyed the record but do I see myself coming back again , Hell No!
Didn't really feel it and I just coludn't come to like it in the end.
Surprisingly refreshing . Never heard of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the record contained some very good indie tunes with some aspects of rock . This was very good and I will be on the look out on their discography more.
Pretty good record. Sounds kind of soul with some rock aspects of rock and the end product is very welcome.
Very good album and I liked it's blend of genres , mainly rock and jazz .
Some may say that reggae is very easy to do , but completely nailing the sound is where it's at . Even before learning of Finley Quaye's origins I was already expressing thoughts of something essential to reggae just lacking . Not to say non-jamaican artists can't make good reggae . Just that this didn't go well with me and there are many more good reggeae records deserving of a place on here.
Didn't like it one bit . But the length of songs was encouraging
Days after listening to Paul's boutique , this I'd say has better verses , lesser noise and better arrangement . Songs are also a bit longer . But Paul's Boutique was better in samples and the beats used . It is unfair to compare 2 separate records but this just came as an afterthought. Favorite song has to be the Q-Tip's feature .
Never heard from him and it seems in from general consensus that he is of questionable character. In that light , I've only heard of a few Smiths albums and they were ok . Trying to separate the art from the artist was hard here since the art itself contains his staunch beliefs. But it wasn't a bad record.
Heard of the record before as a crown jewel in many peoples' eyes. It was mind blowing in sort of a psychedelic way and the synths were immaculate. It's only problem was it's length .
Yeah it realy didn't get to me
One of the finest reggae records of all time.
One of those records where you have no idea of what to expect, but are insanely good listens and leave something to be desired.
Some positives but a lot of cons.
meeh
Pretty solid
One of those records where I couldn't care mire. Some good moments , a bearable voice and some equally bad moments. Could have done without hearing it but I also don't regret hearing it.
Feels like the type of records I almost love but I just just couldn.t get into this one.
Some good songs and some ok songs. But it is a soundtrack.
Pretty decent tock tunes with some aspects of glam . Just didn't quite hit well to get a full rating.
Really confusing record for me. It sounds like some jazz instrumentals with a wierd sounding voice singing in between . The standalone instrumentals would have been excellent but I was not much a fan of his voice . It sounds dare I say fake or really poor, and it mat make the songs feel like they drag a little bit more than their actual length. But it was a good and fresh change of space . Though I would completely scrap the final track.
For what is basically a throw away or just unserious record at first ,, it really does keep up on its own . Very high quality throughout and some may say it sounds like some basic rock or post grunge but it does this very well. Though i am confused why this is the foo fighters record on this list . Maybe more are to come but this was a very welcome listen.
Really funky and as an avid listener of rap and hiphop , I was surprised I had never heard of this . Gives some A tribe called Quest vibes and that is always good . One thing is that I didn't think it needed to be that long .
Really tried to enjoy where I could, but its just not for me.
Very enjoyable and is almost flawless . Not much I could say to discredit the album but its not a full perfect album to me , though I rate it very highly.
A quite enjoyable record , but the length was too much . Almost 30 bonus tracks when the same can be accomplished by a separate deluxe version is absolutely ludicrous . A couple bonus tracks could even be considered decent were it not for the sheer volume and length. If the 10 original tracks were the only present , I could see myself giving this record even a 5.
Pretty basic electronic stuff , but the songs sounded draggy and sometimes too long for what they were.
Sometimes I think about the inclusion of certain albums where the impact is understandable , but this is one of those I didn't like one bit . Very loud and chaotic but in a bad way . For the reason one may like it , I couldn't bring myself to even tolerate it.
Another excellent album from AC/DC . Legendary riffs , though I think it fades in quality a little bit from the previous Highway to Hell on this list.
Another Johnny cash album and similar to the others , it's just ok . I don't feel it's either good or bad , though it is better than my last one, At Folsom Prison.
Neither like or hate the album. The length of the songs was a bit discouraging but ,I powered through and , it was just okay.
Tis is an Album I needed to hear . Though it is long , I think it is excellent everywhere .
Really cool to hear an album from a time when a beloved genre originated. It was ok for what it was .
Solid country record . It did not impress me that much to warrant a higher rating nor was it bad in any means.
Pretty bland but there were some not so bad moments in between .
Some enjoyable songs , some duds but its too long for my liking.
