Cheap Thrills
Big Brother & The Holding CompanyNew to me. Great album with some nice guitar tunes and an amazing female singer. Saved 3 songs as favorite.

Great idea in general (doing a prison tour) and very entertaining concert in general with all the talking Johnny Cash does here.
I‘ve never digged Metallica that much but I am aware of their top 5 songs and like them. This LP though wasn‘t what I expected. It‘s like a 2 hour and 13 minute long soundtrack paired with some vocals in between. I liked it but propably won‘t listen to it again anytime soon.
Very relaxing and creative guitar plays. Liked it very much
Very good and nice soul music!
Amazing music and awesome album! Great journey.
I‘m from germany so I am NOT familiar with their music, besides sweet home alabama. I’ve never even heard about free bird before (not that I‘d know about at least), but anyways - I liked this album and some of their songs. I did not read their Wiki before so I could listen to this without prejustices. My favorites are indeed free bird, mr. Banker and down south jukin‘
I see what‘s special here (thanks Wikipedia!) - he played all Instruments by himself and composed the songs which is always an interesting thing. The sound of this record is sometimes a bit boring to me (like the first track and actual hit of this lp) and some other times pretty cool! Reminds me of music by Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel etc. My favorite on this is Night Train
This really is a great album with hit songs and still a modern sound imo.
I love the beatles and their discography so this was easy to listen to. I think it‘s a great one and their first step to a few more experimental sounds, 2 years before the release of Sgt. Pepper, and a more adult sound.
I‘m not very much into goth music or the culture but it‘s interesting for sure to listen to one of the first albums of that genre. It‘s a diverse mixture of music and surprised me a lot after listening to the first 2-3 tracks. Overall I really liked it!
Very good production and music and mostly clever lyrics imo. It‘s only 30 minutes long, so I will definitely will give it another listen or two.
Great Album, great songs and you can definitely still hear her influence in modern songs nowadays. No matter if it‘s pop-rock or pop in general.
You really need to pay attention while listening to this album and you will be gifted with a short and sweet story of Tommy. Well it‘s one of the most sold albums of all time, but still I‘ve never listened to it before. I loved this one and will surely listen some more times to it.
I remember that I was late listening to her 2nd LP as I thought it‘s just some generic pop music with a great voice but I quickly changed my opinion after I listened to the whole album. Anyway - I wasn‘t late for this one and l did listen to it right after it‘s release and now again of course. Everyone that loves great voices should listen to this album imo!
Amazing music and early grunge style.
Really amazing music and album that cares to surprise!
Very relaxed and short album. Love her voice and this style of music!
Very experimental, but also very unique and outstanding, like her other work. I don’t hate it or love it but I like it very much. I really must be in the mood to listen to this whole album again, but this actually is the matter for me with every Björk album.
I liked some songs and others were boring to me.
Funky and modern tunes (back then and still today) but every song is a bit too long and repetitive for me.
This really was the first Beck Album I‘ve listened to and I loved how this was a whole mixture of genres. Classic Rock, Grunge, Rap, Electronic and so on. I‘ll definitely will listen to this some more times!
Nowadays this sounds like the soundtrack to some indie game. Back then it probably sounded like something else. I love how this music creates a mysterious vibe and can get you „out of space“. I‘m usually not too much into electronica but this one caught me.
It‘s great background music!
I remember listening to mostly the two hits of that album „Fit but You Know It“ and „Dry Your Eyes“ as a teenager and was excited to listen to the whole album again, but to be honest: Almost every other song didn‘t excite me very much. It‘s mostly a british dude talking over some badly aged beats. Maybe you need to be british to feel it.
Wow this is from 1966! Sounds clearly ahead of it‘s time with punk and blues rock elements. I didn‘t know music like this existed back in the 60s and I guess besides a few exceptions it did not exist in the mainstream music.
This album and especially the hits were partially the soundtrack of some of my teenage years. I honestly like the whole album more than I did 18 years ago.
I love his music, this idea and his comments in between.
I know there are and there have been many fans of Michael Jackson‘s music, but after listening to this album I once again know I‘m not.
This sounds like a radio station with a mix of melancholic indie pop-rock, latin sounds and a breath of jazz.
The album is all about relationships and how to handle them, without being too whiny about it in her lyrics. Amazing sound and also intelligent lyrics are being used by her. It also sounds like a great influence to future albums by different artists like Chloe x Hall.
I love this one! It starts relaxing, gets more stressful in between, and cools down till the end again.
It started out pretty interesting with an instrumental followed by smooth tracks with vocals, but then it turned out to be little too mixed up with a random rap song. It just didn‘t fit in imo.
5 stars for the first song alone and maybe one of the best and longest guitar solo, especially with the background story of this song. The rest of the album is okay.
This once again shows, that I just don‘t like musicals.
How have I not ever listened to this before? It‘s an amazing record.
This was expected to be on the list and it was great to listen through this album again! They‘ve created a unique sound, while not being famous yes, let alone the amazing bass lines, that I need to give this one 5 stars. PS: I just got this one after the Paris Olympics 2024 ending show, with a short performance by the RHCP, because the Olympics 2028 will be in Los Angeles. When I‘m done with this project it will only be 1 year left - nice!
Didn‘t know his name, but some of his music. I love the hits on this one, the instrumental only parts and the live atmosphere captured in here.

Amazing album! Not only does it remind me of my teenage years, it‘s also still great music today imo.
Very relaxed music and great singing with political messages, but still nothing I‘d listen to often.
This one is close to a 5 for me but it‘s just a bit too long for me and too many skits which was usual though during that time.
Amazing record that still sounds fresh today! It sounds like the base for so many records that followed this one.
Since GTA San Andreas I knew I don’t hate country (thanks to K ROSE), but I‘m also not american and maybe that helps. This album was a great listen for me and I really like it. She has a great voice for this style of music and she’s still active today. Would listen again if I am in the mood for country.
Easy 5 star rating for me. While this album accompanied me in my youth (even though my youth started 12 years after this album‘s release) and brings many memories with it, I still like the sound now that I‘m in my thirties. It has mellow and harder songs while Kurt brings his vocals on line in a depressing matter. Besides that, it has one of the most famous cover images of all time.
I‘ve listened to to this at the beach- can recommend.
I really can‘t give away too many 5s but this deserves one for me. It‘s jazzy, punky but also avantgardy at the same time. What a great piece of work!
I liked the first song but that‘s about it. The rest can stay in the 90s.
I liked some songs of this as a teenager but this whole thing didn‘t age well imo.
Love this album! This really is/was the peak of hip hop. Of course there is Ms Jackson on this record but also many other great songs that might not be well known.
I‘ve listened to this on my way to work while it was raining and while it was putting me in a sad mood in the beginning it lifted me up in the middle again. So rain was the perfect weather for this one and I went from disliking it to like it more and more. In the end it’s still Radiohead.
I didn’t think this would develop into a 5 star album for me but it did! This is my first Cohen album on the list and can‘t wait to hear the other ones.
After the first two songs I thought “Okay I most likely won’t like this one because it’s folk”, but it turned out to be pretty interesting overall with elements of punk, ska and other sounds.
A few good songs but overall not an album I really like or felt entertained by.
I can’t hate in Sinatra. Of course it’s old music and a genre in general that’s not really happening anymore in today’s mainstream music but that’s maybe also because Sinatra did his best (along some other artists) to play through this genre. This album is perfect for the fall and winter time to listen to it in a cozy place.
This is 70s pop feel good music! It doesn’t annoy me but it also doesn’t excite me too much. Close to you is a great and sweet song that has also been used in the newest Joker movie (not a movie recommendation)
I haven’t listen to this in a while but it’s still a great album if you like this kind of music. Stan is still one of the best and famous storytelling songs in rap imo. Eminem turned 52 just one day after I received this entry - nice coincidence!
I don’t hate pop music and there are many great pop albums out there imo. This one is not though. It has great songs on it, she’s a great and unique singer but the whole thing just doesn’t fit together very well or I‘m not getting it. Still a 3 for me because of the good songs.
This record is just amazing. Love the whole atmosphere, sounds and guitar riffs / solos. Would listen to this again and again.
This is more than „just a reggae album“ imo. While it starts with the title track which is a typical and also pretty famous reggae track, it offers more than that with the other songs and creates a great atmosphere. I also like the chilled guitar parts.
If someone would ask me how the typical 90s music sounds like, I’d show them this.
Never heard of this before but I actually like it! Sounds like a mixture of RHCP & White Stripes.
Maybe I‘m boring, maybe I‘m nostalgic but this one is awesome! Never heard it before but it got the typical 2000s rock sound and is completely different to the KOL that became mainstream.
Never heard this before but I like it very much!
Knew this one and love this one! This really has been an iconic duo and had great influence on a whole genre imo.
