This is not an album I will want to go back to over and over, but I enjoyed listening to it. The random beeps in the title track, the 15 minute song, and the moments that were noise instead of music kept me from giving a higher rating.
I like home again, but there wasn’t anything that really stood out for me on this album.
Oh, Otis.
Such a great album. I wouldn’t be sad if idiot wind was about 3 minutes shorter, but that’s my only complaint.
Love the music on this album, even though I don’t really connect with Springsteen’s lyrics.
I’ve listened to this album several times before, and love the second half of Layla. I don’t want to fade away…
ABBA is my 9 year old’s favorite band, and this was full of several great songs.
Not my jam
Interesting listen.
Interesting listen. I’ll be coming back to this one
I’m annoyed to find this kind of catchy, will not be coming back though.
Losing love is like a window in your heart. Everybody see you’re blown apart, everybody feels the wind blow. And don’t even get me started on the music.
It here a a couple of great songs in here. Most of the songs on this album sound alike.
First two songs a solid, then the album loses me.
I would give 6 stars if that were an option.
There are several songs that I enjoy, and I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. Feels like a collection of songs more than an album, especially the day after Abbey Road.
Several good songs. It was a good album for weekend cleaning.
So weird. But in a good way.
Appreciate the musicians’ skill in Led Zeppelin, but I don’t enjoy this band as much as some. Love black mountain side.
I’m glad it was short! I did enjoy Jump.
Love the piano, man.
I always forget about Harry Nilsson, but enjoyed this album
Brian Wilson, The Beach Boys, the Wrecking Crew, and a little bit of magic. Sloop John B is the best homesickness song ever.
I had heard one song by this band before, enjoyed listening to more.
Happy to listen to a female musician. I’d never heard of Kelley’s before.
Graham Green was my favorite song on this album.
No thank you. Not looking forward to the other Steely Dan on this list.
Stop your sobbing, precious, brass in pocket are excellent songs.
Am I glad Willie did his own version of Someone to watch over me? I am not. But otherwise I enjoyed this album.
I keep trying with Neil young. No e of these songs stood out for me.
I was in the right mood for this yesterday.
I couldn’t make myself finish this one.
Good stuff.
This is probably too high a rating but I enjoy ska music.
Best breakup album ever?
I took an early morning walk then drove to work in the fog while listening to this, which may have influenced my rating, but it fit the atmosphere just right and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This album was a pleasant surprise. I’ve never listened to this band, may check out their other albums.
Listened a few times, it was great.
I think the lyricist was having some relationship troubles when he wrote for this album.
I will definitely come back to this. It should probably be a 5, but I couldn’t relisten yesterday to confirm.
Another day I think I would have really felt this, but today it’s a 3.
There is a certain radio station that makes me feel like I would be cooler if I loved the zombies more. I enjoyed this album, but didn’t love it. This will be our year was my favorite on this album.
I’m not sure how I feel about Leonard shouting at me about my mail. And that was my favorite song on the album after my first listen.
My appreciation for Lou Reed went way up listening to this album. Love the line “hairy-minded pink bare bear” best of all.
Meh.
Will listen again.
Sing it, Janis.
Was not in the right mood for this one, but always enjoy their cover of Viva Las Vegas.
Not an album.
Sonic youth is growing on me.
Really enjoyed this all the way around. Don’t have a favorite song, all were lovely.
It was sobering to realize how relevant these songs still are, 34 years after the album was originally released.
I had tried to listen to this album years ago and couldn’t settle in to it. This time around, it was lovely. Already loved Staralfur, from my days in the Zissou society.
Did not hold up in a post-Larry Nassar/MeToo world. Several parts of this that were meant to be sexy? Or funny? Gave me the creeps.
I really liked their cover of Do Right Woman. The rest of the album was enjoyable, but I’m not sure if I’ll listen again or forget about this one.
I bought this album in middle school and listened to it quite a bit back then. My musical tastes have come a long way, baby.
I love the Talking Head’s ability to create music that is goofy and slightly sinister at the same time.
Tried multiple listens, but couldn’t wrap my mind around this one. It probably would have had a higher rating on a different day.
Love Wilco, hadn’t heard this album. Ended up listening to Wilco and similar bands all day. It was lovely.
Maybe it’s genetic, like how for some people cilantro just tastes like soap. I have the gene that makes me hate Neil Young’s voice. Sorry Neil, it’s not personal. It’s science.
I really enjoyed the tracks that were more melodic, not so much with the grungier ones.
So gravelly.
