Apr 15 2025

Enjoyed this a lot. How could you not?

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Apr 16 2025

Really wanted to like this album more but I couldn't. Feels like its my jam but it never really hits that point that sends it up for me. Stand out tracks: Mambo Sun, Get it On, Life's A Gas

I See A Darkness by Bonnie "Prince" Billy
Apr 17 2025

The kind of whiny, sad album I like. In the same vein as Benji or A Crow Looked At Me, just 16 years earlier. This will be one of those albums that you either like or hate.

Two Dancers by Wild Beasts
Apr 24 2025

Beginning and ending were good; sagged in the middle

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Apr 25 2025

My favorite Zep album. It's got all the big hits and all the experimental demos. Shit hits from front to back. Ez 5 star

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Apr 26 2025

Didn't really expect to like this so much, but it fucks from start to finish. A dozen short, slick, hard-hitting tracks. Chester Bennington's lyrics are the driving force of the album and his vocals are supposed to be a big draw, but I found him annoying to listen to at times. Still a solid 4/5

Berlin by Lou Reed
Apr 27 2025

The bizarre wailing at the beginning made me think I was in Discord with Josh Ash, hut the rest of the album is listenable.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Apr 30 2025

This is a pretty good album but i dont have much to say about it

Sea Change by Beck
May 01 2025

Never listened to a Beck album before. Or any Beck really. Was really surprised at how good this was. Very sad + moving lyrics. Apparently, this album is out of the norm for him, historically speaking. I am now wondering what his work before and after this sounds like

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
May 02 2025

I had a B. B. King tee shirt growing up but never actually listened to him (fake fan). Biggest mistake of my life. At first I thought that Led Zeppelin might have stolen It's My Own Fault and used it to make Since I Been Lovin' You, but I think all blues rock probably just sounds like that

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
May 04 2025

Listened to this on a car trip yesterday and remember liking it, but I don't really remember anything about it. 2.5 stars I guess. Rounding up to 3

Smash by The Offspring
May 05 2025

Wasn't at all familiar with The Offspring. Really punky and fun album. Lots of swearing :'(

May 06 2025

Only heard U2's singles before, and never thought much of them. This album was front loaded with 3 of their biggest singles, and all the rest was totally unfamiliar. Turns out that's the more interesting stuff! Not terribly interesting, but a solid 3/5

...And Justice For All by Metallica
May 08 2025

Was teetering towards a 3/5 in the middle, but the last 2 tracks really fuck. Ez 4/5

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
May 09 2025

I really appreciated this on a technical level, but I didn't like it

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
May 11 2025

This was fairly interesting. Best track is Beechwood Park

London Calling by The Clash
May 14 2025

Very eclectic sound that I appreciated. I always thought this album was just straight up punk, but it only has this punk element woven throughout the album's songs. Very, very good. Might even listen again

2112 by Rush
May 15 2025

Holy FUCK

Moondance by Van Morrison
May 17 2025

Some songs good; others not so good

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz

Best songs: Dreams By the Sea, The Man In The Station

My Generation by The Who
May 24 2025

I absolutely did not kill my dad

The Undertones by The Undertones
May 25 2025

This is clearly a precursor for some of the more modern bands i like. Pretty cool. A side was much better than B tho

Henry's Dream by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
May 26 2025

Never been a huge fan

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
May 27 2025

Anything so massively cocaine fueled is an automatic 4 or 5

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jun 07 2025

I need someone to watch over me 🙏

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Jun 08 2025

Always meant to listen to this album because BIG 100.3 plays the Live at Budokan version of "I Want You to Want Me". Pretty good album.

Justified by Justin Timberlake
Jun 09 2025

I mean, this sucked but it's also fine? I'm not a tween girl so I didn't care for most of the lyrical content. But it's the fuckin' Neptunes producing most of the album. It SOUNDS great! But it isn't great at the same time. I'm just not the target demographic for this music. I also fucking cannot stand Rock Your Body. Worst single J Timbers ever made. I guess I'll give this 3 stars.

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jun 10 2025

CCR fuckin' rules

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Jun 11 2025

Pretty bland. Usually gays like stuff that's fun and exciting. What do they like about Madonna?

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Jun 12 2025

Another one I've always meant to listen to but never did. A fuckin' masterpiece, 10/10

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Jun 13 2025

ANOTHER BANGER

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jun 15 2025

The Whale holds a special place in my heart. This album is golden

Legalize It by Peter Tosh
Jun 16 2025

I listened to most of this but skipped the last 2 tracks. I mean, it's reggae music. This album is up front about what it is. "Legalize It". I probably didn't need to listen to a single track from this. Idk, it just isn't my jam. Sorry, Mr. Tosh.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Jun 17 2025

Gave up on this after 4 songs. Bland as saltines

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jun 18 2025

I don't have anything to say about Rumours that hasn't been said a million times already. Easy 5 star

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Jun 22 2025

I'm sure this album means something to someone. Not me

Murder Ballads by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jun 23 2025

ANOTHER one I've been meaning to listen to for a while. Throughly enjoyed.

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jul 05 2025

New Forms by Roni Size
Jul 06 2025

I love DNB so frickin' much even if half the tracks sound exactly the same

Pump by Aerosmith
Jul 07 2025

They were really horny when they made this one

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Jul 08 2025

Violent Femmes's singer has that midwestern vocal fry that I've come to love in Modern Baseball's Jake Ewald and the group have the sonic stylings of Iceage (this album gave me Plowing Into The Field of Love vibes). This is clearly the precursor to shit that I REALLY love. 4/5

Odelay by Beck
Jul 09 2025

I feel like Beck is love-him-or-hate-him kinda guy but I'm in the middle about him. I get that he's pretty musically talented and can play all these instruments and stuff. But I just don't "get" him. idk.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Jul 10 2025

Yeah, this was good. Nothing too interesting or groundbreaking tho

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Jul 11 2025

A genuinely enriching and engaging cultural experience

Rhythm Nation 1814 by Janet Jackson
Jul 13 2025

This album is just a few bangers and then at the end a sound clip from a news broadcast thats like "a gunman in Idaho killed 27 school kids"

The Stooges by The Stooges
Jul 17 2025

Iggy Pop was pretty decent even before he started doing all the drugs!

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Jul 18 2025

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Jul 20 2025

I think I am genetically predisposed to enjoy Elvis

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jul 21 2025

Alanis Morissette is really fuckin' angry for most of this album. And I LOVE a good "I'm angry" album.

Imagine by John Lennon
Jul 22 2025

Yoko OH NO!!!

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Jul 23 2025

Critics like to mention they miss when hip-hop was rappin'/Mothafucka, if you did then Killer Mike would be platinum

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

On their knees, the war pigs crawling/Begging mercies for their sins/Satan, laughing, spreads his wings/OOOOOOOH LORD, YEAH!!

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
Jul 27 2025

Yea it was nice. Good singing. Nice piano playing. Whatever.

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Jul 28 2025

I wish the music had died sooner

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Jul 29 2025

This was fine on its own, but I feel like I need more context to really get a lot out of this. This was recorded in a time that the artists were ousted from their town because of a war in their home country of Mali, and I'm sure the lyrics are probably about that but I don't understand any of it. Sonically, very little about this seems to be distinct from American Black blues music, so I'm not getting a Malian feel from that either. Still a 2/5, but I think it could be a 4 or even a 5 if I did the homework to understand this better. Paradoxically, though, I don't really want to do homework.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jul 30 2025

Compelling music from a young gentleman with a distinct voice who, unfortunately, never learned how to swim

Metal Box by Public Image Ltd.
Jul 31 2025

Connected by Stereo MC's
Aug 13 2025

Britrap that isnt HORRIBLE. Just okay

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Aug 15 2025

Bittersweet Symphony is a jam for sure. When I saw that their other singles had WAY more listens I was intrigued, as I had never heard of any of the songs. Kind of a let down. Album was a 3/5 in the end.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Aug 16 2025

Moby Dick is referenced by the character Lana on the animated show Archer. Then another character by the name of Krieger says Bonham was a pussy (Krieger is a massie Rush fan)

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Aug 17 2025

>women making music

Didn't get much out of this. The last song was nice. Also there's 2 Thom Yorke features and one the first one, he just sort of moans and wails for a bit ovwr the track. Made me giggle when I realized that was going to be the extent of his contribution.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Aug 20 2025

I have seen the album cover for this dozens of times because i would often type in "goo" to my browser's address bar and then press Enter and sometimes I would stroke the key (no homo) before the browser autofilled "google.com" and the browser would return this Sonic Youth album as the result every time. Never listened to it but was always curious just because I saw it so often. It's good.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads

I liked the part of the track Drugs that was filmed in a Black man's basement
