1001 Albums Summary

Definitely listened to a few of these songs as a kid and never knew it was by George Michael. I think he had quite an impact, especially for Europe, and during my parents' lives growing up. Not something I would to every single day but now and again it would give a nostalgic feeling. This is more for the music than lyrics

I prefer this album over The score

Heard more than half of these songs through movies and such! Never knew who sang them, it's really bringing back some memories

Always loved his songs, listened to this album during a trip in Romania. Played it so much it made my dad insult Michael's "golden balls"

His music is good for those background few seconds scenes in movies trying to be.. something cooler than it really is :)

Why the long song names? Is that supoosed to make it more unique? Generic and kind of repetitive to me.. idk it's mellow sounding, doesn't make me feel much

I did recognise a few of the songs, probably from some drama series. I've never been a huge fan of her music but this was a good insight, pretty chill to listen to. I wouldn't go out of my way to play her songs though

Niceish, heard of Pulp before but never listened, didn't know what to expect but sure, it's okay. "Common people" kinda grew on me now

I can't get over the fact of how the cover photo looks so egocentric? Sure it's common for singers to have themselves on it but it just gives that vibe. Mediocre music for me

Not bad! Recognised the feat with Timbaland which I love. I can imagine Eminem rapping instead on that music lol

Edgy indeed. I have a better alternative to this type of instrumental and genre, most popular songs from Sandra sound like that, more upbeat though and having a female voice.

Can recognise half of the album since my family used to listen to them during their 20s. Does give a nostalgic vibe :)

I gotta appreciate the fact that it was recorded live, I'd listen to this live myself if I could but whilst dressed as a flapper girl and letting me smoke inside the damn bar. Probably not the right era for when this album came out but hey, it's jazz

This is what I imagined his album would be without having listened to too much before from him. I gotta say it made me laugh with what he was saying, just because of the ridiculous I am A God. He's an interesting individual that questions to me what did anyone do to him lol is it just fame to his head? Idk

Love the beats and style, there was a moment some short song made me laugh inbetween :) overall nice, you can feel the passion they're put into this

It's crazy thinking anyone would be into this and I've listened to some weird and actual good stuff in the same genre. Thise critics are mad for choosing this album but hey ho

This is talent, you can feel the synergy between instruments and the songs flow nicely

His music is cool, but that screaming gets to a point where it sounds like he's forcing himself to do it and it's just cringing me out, chill out, a normal coherent scream will get the job done

The story behind this album sounded cool, but some of the songs were trying to be more.. futuristic and it didn't seem to compliment the rest of the songs

First couple of songs about bones... one of some screaming monkey.. rah rah rah ride... can feel a bit of harmony with the instruments but far from it as the album goes. What a mess with the ending for "Vamos". Very artistic with the cover photo (:

Very interesting I gotta say, quite liked the chill weird vibes

Love a bit of Earth wind and fire... but where's the water?? I've heard a couple of their songs before so I might be biased, but guessing that's what makes them actually famous and having an impact on music

I'm ashamed to say I've always thought Stevie Wonder was Stevie Nicks just because of their first name

Ironically this album makes me want to smoke and act as if I'm a cool edgy teenager again lol

This one's cute, interesting, not in a bad way. Idk what it is but it reminds me of a mellow version of The xx. Science/Visions was quite good out of them all

Such a chill vibe to listen to on a road trip during actual summertime in the UK
