classic, knew some of the hits already. not my favorite flavor of pop
ts is NOT timeless.
synthy riffs are awesome esp on just what i needed and you’re all i got tonight
bye bye love has a great guitar riff every other phrase.
good vocals and instrumentation
the instruments change up from track to track which is nice. specifically sometimes piano sometimes keyboard/organ sound sometimes both. crazy spread of time signatures like only 3 in 4/4 not to say that affects my ranking much.
that bari sax😩 whoever on piano is amazing (it’s spooner oldham i looked it up played with bob dylan and linda ronstandtz too apparently)
my fav part of the album is “they all come true” part on dont let me lose this dream
descant in baby baby baby is bad and so are the backing vocals in dont let me lose this dream. i dont like good times.
really good vocal and instrument performances except mentioned above. the bossa nova song doesnt have claves☹️
consistent, tight harmonies. the guitar (american guy named ry) gives that sweet traditional cuban sound flawlessly. all the vocalists are pretty freaking awesome. trumpet is solid.
😩😩😩
I just love neil young so much he’s my goat.
i don’t like spaced cowboy.
i do like the rest of the record though it’s pretty groovy
Liked the live album format more than i expected.
pretty freakin legendary performance. such a tight set.
im a big fan of the drum groove on al tchere bele and the shimmery guitar riff sound throughout but esp jolie. sounds a little too mich like home depot jingle.
i certainly wasnt in the right headspace to listen to this today. i think i only either like metal or soft rock. pick a side bro.
pretty enjoyable listen. lots of filler its seems but some of the somgs i hadnt heard before were great.
sounded fun to play, but not so much to listen to.
‘Pyramid song’ might be my favorite Radiohead song.
‘I might be wrong’ might be my favorite Radiohead song.
‘Knives out’ might be my favorite Radiohead song.
‘Morning bell/Amnesiac’ might be my favorite Radiohead song.
‘Dollars and Cents’ might be my favorite Radiohead song.
Anyways I really like radiohead and this album is quite good. easy 5/5
the second half of the forst track was lame. dirty little girl was just worse benny and the jets + some discomfort.
the rest of it was pretty solid stuff eh? actually no it falls off after dirty little girl.
its hard to mess up folk
i also think its hard to get it perfect. as far as fold goes this is pretty legit.
alr frick you guys. this album was an absolute blast to listen to. on par with discovery for sure. my middle school music taste and nothing has changed. jacob its onteresting you say video game background music because i was playing cuphead whilst indulging. didnt fit very well with the theme but a solly coincidence perhaps. the repetitive sound of the music makes it easy to listen to and who needs thought provocation when you dance? not me. anyways this album is an instant classic for me. perhaps goat status??
Booya. thouroughly enjoyed this listen. each song had a unique riff that made the album not drag at all even though each song is kinda long, many of the songs have unusual form so it mixes things up.
I can’t stand girl but the rest is pretty good song writing and not that annoying.
i think this is the first beatles album i’ve actually listened to.
not sure if i’m a fan. i like the singing parts and i don’t like the rapping parts because it’s just outdated flow.
so outdated it’s cool again.
aggghhh i did not like that.
i feel bad it’s just the raps aren’t good and the beats aren’t good and it’s too long.
every song she’s just talking about how she’s queen latifah, a black female emcee who’s produced by king ramsey.
1/5
bob dylan if he was more country and funny. can’t recall ever actually laughing at music.
this listening experience was a fever dream
wasn’t expecting this. wish i could hate it because he’s redhead but this is good stuff.
woof this kind of thing is not for active listening. some of it was pretty aight. may the circle be unbroken cover kinda crazy ngl.
surprisingly consistent for a double album. the songs are either really pretty or really ugly but the ugly songs are still good.
actually i really liked the instruments and songwriting his freak ahh singing i cant stand arghh its only okay in two dancers(ii)
2/5
clearly an attempt at more mainstream which cuts back from full Nick Drake potential. Even more depressing because this was also a flop at the time. The freaking flute is so good. nothing to give it but a
“Do I have to keep you barefoot and pregnant to keep you in my life?”
nah this was fun
woah not the strongest start for me but i liked that.
Some major holes in this album. some good songs though.
songs were good just too long
hard to compare jazz records. good genre though.
not forefront but not bad
didnt like her voice enough for the songwriting to shine
A Forest is so good. The rest of the songs are solid 3.5/5 material but i cant do that.
did someone say coldplay?
nothing outstanding, very bearable
first few were hooky and good but it lowkey just got buns
Started strong fell off. I’ll stick to the cure thanks
i do not need this in my life ill stick to deftones. that being said its good metal but i am rarely in a metal mood so id ratger listen to metal i already know is good.
a little too raunchy for my taste
no real standouts pretty consistent though
nothing stands out but its short and sweet
mightve got the tiniest bit repetitive near the end but gee wiz i like it!
possibly the worst opening/closing tracks ever😭 the rest was so good i want it to be a five so bad
yeah i would say i like it so ill say i like it
Yeah im not sure. not the most inventive melodies.
HE is the swingin’est Jackson
middle of the pack in terms of radiohead albums for me. still a 5 ayyy
his voice is kinda whiny idk
Keeping it simple and keeping it real
sorry jacob this is better than songs in the key of life too
everysong is almost good or almost bad
nice and peppy, please don’t hurt me jacob
oh this is goated but sorry melon
really really like goldfinger
no melodies? kinda groovy but no form?
nice guys finish last: the musical
pretty cut and dry country stuff going on
dre is the star of the show. snoop isnt all that
what is going on these songs are groovy but too long and not my typa groovy
is it country or is it dance music? we may never know.
Her voice is slightly punchy in a bad way. the songs have redeeming qualities. pleasant listen!
Marvin, so much is going on and a lot of it is not so good, but you keep a cheery disposition through it all. Every song is upbeat and sounds happy, even if the lyrics are serious and I wouldn't want it any other way.
kinda weird but kinda cool sounded odd and normal at the same time
epic premise. didn't disappoint.
I had no thoughts or feelings while listening to this.
some redeemable qualities
they switch up the algo once and its a decent algorithm
pretty pretty pretty good like i remember
hey nirvana is not overrated
um no i did not like that
holy earrape in the second song. freakin groovy in parts and freaky and weird most of the time
not as good as mellon collie but i like the hits more i think
ray charles is not the same as stevie wonder
cool fun relaxing standard. guess what? chicken butt!
what a weird hodgepodge. you can tell he a good songwriter but its so thrown together at the last minute kinda vibes
many songs had redeeming qualities, modt were too long
Not as good as buena vista social club but very close
If you're depressed, just be happy. It ain't that hard lil bro
liked it less this time. his voice is unsatisfactory
i enjoyed some of the songs. others the beat was bland or the content seemed trivial
well the worst part of this is that Lauryn hill didn't drop another album. I love the skits where i usually hate them in albums idk these ones are awesome.
that mbube song just sounds like in the jungle. she got a great voice and singing the clicks is supa cool but this doesn't resonate with me all that much.
very nice and relaxing but I like vince garauldi’s latin album much betta
i may revisit this. pleasant listen
his voice is lowk infernal but the backing tracks are great
the forst song had my hopes up and his american accent threw me off
cant say that i liked any of these renditions more than the ogs
some good ones i agree its a little long
calming. listened to it during a 5k
not an active listen for me. good stuff though I give myself Koln concerts on the piano instead of practicing all the time.
they dont know how to songwrite i think
this musical group might be a little overglazed
i think that was fire, not sure though.
yo i lowkey zoned out for this one
I wish life was this simple. I think ill move out to the country. Think It Over singlehandedly bumped this up to a 4 for me
the songs are hit or miss. did i say hit or miss? I meant mid or miss.
