I quite enjoyed this album as a whole! My favorite songs on the album would have to be M62, with its atmospheric quality and NY with its crashing guitars and psychedelic vibe.
What can I say other than it’s Graceland by Paul Simon, an epic perfect album! 10/10!!! A forever love!
I had always known about this album and its history but this is the first time I listened to it and I was blown away! Not just musically, of course, but I love the ad libbing, the background noise, certain inmates being called over the intercom…it really places you in that setting, in that period of time. Excellent!
While I realize the historical significance of this album, I found it tedious. I felt I was listening to different versions of ‘Pinball Wizard’ even though they were completely different songs.
I’ve loved this album for a very long time and was so happy to see it on this platform! 1000% recommend. It’s Frank and it’s classic!
I’m so happy I listened to this album in its entirety! Listening to Message in a Bottle and Walking On the Moon is always great! Solid album all around with a couple of songs that didn’t really grab me but happy to discover Deathwish! That’s an underrated song in my opinion!
Fred Neil is an underrated gem of 1960s folk-rock. His voice, songwriting, and mood are beautiful. If you’re interested in the intersection of folk, blues, and singer-songwriter traditions of the 60s, this is a must-listen.
I loved this album! 60’s psychedelic rock?! Sign me up!! Wild Mountain Thyme and the last track, John Riley are my favorite!
German Industrial Avant Garde music is not for me. I listened to the entire album but it was a very tough listen for me.
As someone who really enjoys jazz, but lacks knowledge of the genre, I truly enjoyed this album from beginning to end.
This album is of course a landmark in West Coast hip-hop, however, I can’t ignore the dripping misogyny and lack of depth in its lyrics. The music is super fun as long as you ignore the lyrics.
It was really wonderful revisiting this album!!it took me back to my high schools years!! This album will always have a special place in my heart!
Loved it! Give me psychedelic rock all day long!!
This album is one of my all time favorites as well as the artist. It’s a 10/10. It’s absolute poetry. Always a strong sense of longing and melancholy every single time I listen to this album.
Not going to lie, I much prefer ‘Back to Black.’ Like, so much more! This album was good/ok, but it didn’t blow my mind like Back to Black.
I love this album and I’ve loved it for a long time. It’s emotional, sultry, raw. It’s a 10/10 for me.
I love this album. I always have. I miss the time when Coldplay was profound and poetic. 10/10
