Heard before?:✔️ Will listen again?:✔️ OH YESSS!!! I LOVE NICK DRAKE! I prefer his two other albums (that are on this list) though but 'At the chime of a city clock' is definitely one of my favourite songs ever. He portrays how lonely and hectic living in a big city can be, supported by absolutely gorgeous instrumental arrangements
Heard before?:❌️ Will listen again?:❌️ 1.5 On the surface it sounds pleasant enough but I can't help but feeling like like there is no soul behind this album(?) Which for a supposed soul band isn't the best look. It's not offensively bad or anything, I managed to listen to it front to back without issue and kinda enjoyed the title track. Which is why I've been debating whether to give this album one or two stars. I've been handing out a lot of 1stars recently and I don't want to come off as a killjoy with my "critic" rater style but I also have to stay true to myself and admit that this list has some bs on it and that taste is subjective (oh my god no waaaay!)
