Live At The Harlem Square Club
Sam CookeI didn't expect this to be this fucking awesome. Chain Gang is a real banger. I'm very impressed with this.
I didn't expect this to be this fucking awesome. Chain Gang is a real banger. I'm very impressed with this.
So far I've listened and rated almost 50 albums on this website, and this is my first 5 star rating. Everything about this just resonates with me. The lyrics paired with his voice and guitar playing is just .. perfect.
I'm a big fan of MF DOOM so this was right up my alley. A cool and unique projects, really fun skits and transitions between songs.
For the most part this was pretty good. I think some of the song were a bit repetitive and drawn out. I'm torn between giving this a 2 or 3, so I would give it a 2.5 if possible.
Meh.
I have listened to this album many times before, and it was just as good this time as the first time I heard it. In my opinion a real classic, a more or less a timeless album. I do find myself enjoying the more calm/slow songs a lot more than the more rock/punk songs. There is a lot of things to say about this but to keep it short: A fucking good album.
It wasn't bad, but I didn't enjoy it very much. I think I would have enjoyed it in 1997 but it didn't do much for me now. A couple decent songs, but a lot of the songs sounded the same to me.
Hadn't even heard about The Black Keys before. Not what I usually listen to, but this impressed me a lot. Very good album all around.
A couple of good tracks, but nothing special really.
Meh.
Decent album but nothing special (no pun intended), some good songs, some bad. I would give it 2,5/5 if possible.
I don't know how I never heard about this before, this was really good. When I first saw that this was today's album I was a bit bummed because I didn't think I would like this, but it took me by surprise. Great album.
This wasn't for me. Didn't enjoy this at all.
This is actually so insanely good. This album has it all. I would give it 4.5/5 if possible.
A couple of good tracks here and there but overall the album was pretty "meh" to be honest.
Fantastic album. I would give it 4.5 / 5 if possible.
When I started listening, my first thought was that I was going to like this. But as I got in to it I noticed how it was very repetitive both sonically and lyrically. Overall pretty disappointed about this album.
I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Great music. I would give 3.5/5 if possible.
I liked this! Nothing super special, but just overall good music.
This was pretty good, not what I usually listen to but I enjoyed most of it.
Not my type of music, but it was pretty decent. I would give it 2.5 / 5 if possible.
Just beautiful all way through. Great music.
Most of the tracks on this album were really good. There were a couple that was a bit boring and tedious. Overall I enjoyed this for the most part.
Not usually my type of music, so I didn't expect to like this to be honest. But it positively suprised me and I found myself enjoying this quite a bit.
I enjoyed this album a lot. I feel like if I would listen to this a couple of more times than just once I would definitely give it a higher score. For now a 3 or mabye 3.5 / 5 will do.
Pretty meh to be honest. Some really bad songs, some decent songs but nothing special overall in my opinion.
I was originally going to rate this really low, but as I continued to listen it just became better and better. It had some bad moments but for sure some good aswell. A bit uncertain about this rating but I would rate 2.5 / 5 if it was possible.
Just good rock music all the way through.
Pretty meh, maybe 2.5 / 5 but I'm uncertain.
I have listened to some Bowie before but I hadn't listened to this particular album. It's a good album but to be honest nothing really special about it at the first listen atleast. For now I would rank it a weak 3.
This was my second time listening to this album. It is undeniably an important album for hip-hop and I can understand why. I think it's a great album with a lot of good tracks, but there is a few weak tracks to be honest. I'm having a hard time rating this album fairly, but I think I have to go with a weak 4 for now.
Not my cup of tea. If you are into this kind of music perhaps they are among the best, but I honestly can't tell if this is a good or bad band within this genre. It's just noise to me and I was having a real hard time to even finish listen to the whole album.
I can't get enough of Simon and Garfunkel. Great stuff. Not a single bad track.
It's definitely not bad, but not what I usually listen to. I wish the vocals would be more audible, I feel like that would elevate the music so much more. I'm giving this album a strong 2 in rating.
Good vibes, I would love more vocals though. 3
Meh.
Good stuff.
Good old rock music. Not the most amazing I have heard, but just solid good music. I don't really have much to say about it.
It feels a bit like a rough diamond. There is something really good about this, yet there is also something missing. It sounds a bit incomplete. I did enjoy this a lot tho.
Meh. Nothing special, but not bad in any way.
Very enjoyable. Just good vibes.
Most of the songs were pretty boring, and when I found a song I liked it ended so quickly because all the songs are like 1 minute long.
I didn't expect this to be this fucking awesome. Chain Gang is a real banger. I'm very impressed with this.
For the most part this was pretty good. I think some of the song were a bit repetitive and drawn out. I'm torn between giving this a 2 or 3, so I would give it a 2.5 if possible.
Kinda disappointed with this one. I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as I thought I would. Definitely not the best from Bowie.
Very good rock music, enjoyed it all the way through. This is the kind of music that I would love to put on while cooking food and having a beer. I'm tempted to give this a 4 but perhaps that's a bit too high, but it's definitely 3.5 / 5.
For the most part this album was not my type of music, but there were a few tracks that I did enjoy.
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Good pop music all the way through.
Not nearly as good as Infected, didn't enjoy this that much but it wasn't bad.
Not for me.
So far I've listened and rated almost 50 albums on this website, and this is my first 5 star rating. Everything about this just resonates with me. The lyrics paired with his voice and guitar playing is just .. perfect.
Not bad, but im not very impressed either.
Hard to get through this one
This was a very good and versatile album. Every song sounded different - in a good way. I'm tempted to give this a 4 star rating, but I'm not quite sure. I would most definitely give this 3.5 / 5 star rating if that was possible.
Pretty good. Some real bangers on this one.
Kinda good and enjoyable. Easy to listen to.
Enjoyable and good rock music. Nothing special at all, but still good.
Hard to decide between a 3 or a 4 for this one, but this was so much better than I expected.
Hiphop is probably my favorite and most listened to genre so I was quite excited for this one. Sadly, I found it kinda boring and repetetive.
Good music. Very easy to listen to, a few songs were a bit boring, but most songs were really good.
Reggae at it's best. Just great music and good vibes.
Decent.
The first song was pretty good, but it got worse. It is definitely not bad, in fact the singing is very beautiful, but it's just not my cup of tea. Truthfully, it feels outdated.
I did not enjoy the vocals at all. This could have been good, but its just not. I'm torn between one star or two for this album. I would say a very weak 2 probably.
I think I had only heard Time of the season from this album before, partly because it's their most popular song but also because it's sampled by Schoolboy Q in his song Rolling stone. I regret not listening to The Zombies earlier because honestly this is so fucking good, I love the vocals in particular. I'm torn between a 4 or 5 star rating for this album, but im gonna have to go for a strong 4.
Growing up my brother listened to a lot of Iron Maiden, but I never really go into it. I regret that because this is so much more awesome than I thought. The instrumentals in particular are super good.
I've probably listened to this several times before when I was growing up, because my dad used to play a lot of Creedence. I don't have much to say about this except that it's phenomenally good. I will give a strong 4, there is something missing for it to be a 5 star rating, but im not quite sure what.
Some of the instrumentals were pretty cool, but this album was not for me.
I'm a big hiphop fan but I was only 2 years old when this album came out so I haven't actually listened to it fully. I know that this is truly a classic album, and I really enjoyed it. I'm a bit torn between a three and four star rating but I will give it a strong 3.
Reggae is not a genre I put on when im listening to music, however almost everytime I listen to reggae I enjoy it. This album was really good, never heard of Peter Tosh before, but I will try to listen to more of his music. Just good vibes all the way through really. Strong 3 star rating for this album.
Very beautiful music, both instrumentals and vocals. It's quite a long album with a lot of tracks, yet all the tracks differ and you don't get bored. Very impressed with this. Not something I would ever listen to if it wasn't for this site, so im very thankful.
Definitely not bad at all, but also nothing special.
Long and boring for the most part. Didn't enjoy the vocals, some of the instrumentals were unique and cool though.
There were some aspects I enjoyed and I felt that the album had potential, but for the most part it was quite bad.
Boring, and didn't enjoy this.
Unique. Cool instrumentals.
I had never heard of Joan before, yet some of the songs sounded a bit familiar, perhaps I have heard some of them in passing. Nevertheless this album impressed me a lot, all the songs were very different and Joan's vocals are so good. A lot of cool riffs aswell. I'm a bit torn if I should give this a 3 star or a 4 star, so i'll stick with a 3.5 / 5.
This was pleasant to listen to and I did enjoy it, however I have hard time rating this higher than 2 because I just feel there are so much better folk music stemming from this era. I will give this a strong 2 star rating though.
I'm a big fan of MF DOOM so this was right up my alley. A cool and unique projects, really fun skits and transitions between songs.
This was certainly not garbage, in fact it was really good. I had never heard of Garbage before so i'm glad I got them today because I enjoyed this so much more than expected. It's hard for me to decide between a 3 or 4 star for this one. I'll go with a weak 4 star rating I think.
This one was really hard to rate. There is something good about this yet it feels a bit too raw and weird.
The album starts off on a extremely good song, but can't really hold that standard for the rest of the album. Still really good though.
2.5 / 5 Decent, a couple of good tracks here and there but overall the album felt a bit drawn-out.
It is definitely not bad, but its very boring to be honest.
Nice singing and lyrics, but I especially like how Bob handles the guitar.
Very inconsistent album, some of the songs were great and some very pretty trash.
With the exception of a couple of weird and not so great tracks, this album is for the most part pretty good and nice to listen to.
Jazz is not my go to genre, but I always enjoy it when I listen to it. This record really gives me the feeling that I'm actually sitting in a bar with a cold beer and listening to Tom Waits play his tunes. Good stuff.
2.5 / 5 Pleasant to listen to and not bad in any way, shape or form but nothing special to be honest.
Cool riffs, and I like the funk mixed in to the rock. It's good music and it's enjoyable to listen to. I think the album starts off really good and then dips a bit until the last three tracks which are bangers.
It's hard to give this album any rating lower than 4. It's great music and super easy to listen to, but it's not really a 5 for me and I don't know why.
I had never actually listened to Willie Nelson before this, and I did not expect this. Very beautiful and well put together album.
Meh. Nothing special but not bad.
2.5 / 5 Good, but nothing anything special, Peace Frog is a banger tho.
1.5 / 5 Overall boring, the last two tracks were a bit more interesting.
Not bad, it just wasn't for me. "All I Need" was a banger tho.
I enjoyed most of the album, only listened to it once though. Most of the songs were enjoyable some were a bit meh.
Started off really good with "Carry On" and continued to be great! Didn't listen to the following tracks because they weren't available on Spotify: Helpless, Woodstock, Country Girl and Everybody I Love You. Therefore this isn't a complete album review. I really like the vibe of this album and I am surprised I haven't listened much to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young before, because I have obviously heard of them.
I didn't listen very thoroughly but from what I heard I think it's a decent album. Some tracks are extremely long which I don't really mind actually, I just found it interesting. The tracks were easy to listen to and familiar sounding, even though I never listened to them before.
Not my jam. Especially not the live version, it's just too gritty sounding. I like more clean recordings. Ace of spades is a banger, as always. 1.5/5.
Not bad but not anything special in my opinion. A lot of the tracks were just.. boring. I did however really enjoy "Life during wartime" aswell as "Paper". The last track just feels unnecessary?
This was a weird album but enjoyable for the most part, some tracks were boring though. I really enjoyed "The vibes ain't nothin' but vibes" and "Achieved in the valley in the dolls". Rating: 2.5/5.
I had never heard or PJ Harvey before but this was decent! The only song I really didn't like was "Horses in my dream", however the album compensates for that song by ending on "We float" which is a banger with great vocals on it. Without that song I would probably rate the album a 2/5. Instead this deserves a weak 3 rating.
Finally, one of my artists pop up here! Nick Drake is in my opinion one of the greatest singer/songwriter of all time. Very tragic that he died so young and I can't keep myself from wondering, what if he didn't die so young? This album is fantastic with incredible tracks such as "Time has told me", "Three hours", "Day is done" and "Saturday sun". This is Drake's debut album and I do love this but I do think his other two albums are a tad bit better, therefore I give this album a 4.5/5.
At the start I didn't enjoy it very much, but as the album progressed it started getting better and better and really grew on me. Very beautiful vocals.
Great album. I am a bit torn between a 3 and a 4 star rating. My favorite tracks are "Highway star" and "When a blind man cries". I would give this 3.5/5 if possible.
2/5 It's not really my cup of tea. It started off kinda rough and I thought I was going to really dislike this, but it progressed well and towards the end it got a lot better with songs like "Soldier's Things" and "Gin Soaked Boy". This deserves a strong 2.
Incredible album with a lot of hit songs. Adele has an incredible voice. Enjoyed this from start to finish. I hadn't listened to "He won't go" before and I especially enjoyed this track along with all the other hit songs.
Not for me. It doesn't deserve a 1/5 rating though, so I will give it a 1.5/5 rating.
I mostly skippade through this, because it's really not my cup of tea. I did enjoy the beat on "Eple" but im missing the vocals, but I get that's not what this is about.
I enjoyed this a lot! I had never listened to Dusty Springfield before but her name seemed familiar. I especially enjoyed the first three tracks, but it was enjoyable all through. I would give this a 3.5/5 if possible.
It was okay, don't think I will listen to it again but still pleasant. I'm a bit torn between a 2 and 3, so I will give it a 2.5 / 5 rating.
Pleasant to listen to! I might return to some of the songs on this album.
Not bad, but I will be probably not return to this.
Torn between a 2 or 3. I would say a low 3 ranking probably. "You can't always get what you want" is a real banger.
Last song and like one other song were decent, rest of it were bad. 1.5/5
This was better than I expected, I have never thought much about R.E.M but now I feel like I need to reconsider. I really liked 'Drive' and 'Everybody hurts'. I would say this deserves a 3.5/5 rating.
I don't see myself listening to do this again. It is definitely not bad, just not for me.
This was really good! I especially liked "Irganda", "Al hassidi terei" and "Nick". I will definitely listen to this in the future. Cool to discover music that I would have never found without this site!
This was right up my alley. Great album, I will definitely return to this.
The song "Wild Wood" reminds me a little bit of Nick Drake but higher tempo and not as soothing. Pretty good overall, might return to this if I have the feeling/time.
Kinda meh to be honest.
