1001 Albums Summary

Takes me back to secondary school when this came out. I had it on clear 12 inch vinyl and wish I’d never sold it. I think my favourite album is Nevermind but there are some great tracks here and love the grainy scratchy sound

Neither offensive nor compelling. This is the first time I’ve (knowingly) listened to Steeley Dan despite vaguely recognising the name. Light rock (?) and nice to have on in the background but not one that I’d add to my liked songs or particularly seek out I don’t think. Another new band discovered though 😊

Torn on this one - some songs are outstanding but it’s hard to listen to as an album as some songs are not to my taste at all. Of I coild go back I’d give steely Dan a 2 and this a 3. So a three in any case

Nearly gave this 5 - it’s an amazingly well produced album where nearly all songs flow together - and some fantastic songs on here too. A couple of the songs get a bit “annoying” though which has knocked one star off. Brilliant album though and listened to it three times yesterday!

Lauryn has a great voice however this album just doesn’t do it for me. Only just made it through the whole thing and not in a hurry to go back

Difficult album for me to listen to - a couple of the more mellow tracks saved this from being my first one star review!
