I liked it. Loved the bass. Might listen to it in the background again.
Feels more... Folky, choiry or acoustic-y? Not really my thing if I'm being honest. Won't listen again.
Oooh, Lou Reed. I love that this album came up, cause i feel like I should've listened to it already. Feels like a lovely mix of The Velvet Underground (What a shocker that is!), David Bowie and Iggy Pop. Also reminds me of my mom. Great album, would listen again.
It's pretty nice, enjoyable enough. A bit too instrumental for my taste. Would need to listen to it again to form a clearer opinion.
Never heard of Simon and Garfunkel before, and I think they probably are a part of the general musical knowledge, that most should at least have some clue about. I like the album, mostly reminds me of the Beach Boys. The Boxer and So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright stuck out to me, and The Boxer felt like I've heard it somewhere before. I will relisten to it later to get more of a sound grasp on the specific musical elements.
Interesting. There's a lot going on. I like the 21st man schizoid thingy man thing idk. Will come back to it.
I just love this website, there's something so enthralling about trying music I probably wouldn't've stumbled upon otherwise. That said, I surprised myself by actually really liking this album, or more so the score of a movie I had never even heard about. It's very melodic, dreamy, eerie and pleasant to listen to, can totally imagine studying to it. Also the vibe of the bassline in Highschool Lover just, *mwah*, does it for me. Of course it's a bit disjointed, as it wasn't made to be a studio album. Might add this movie to my endless watchlist. Anyway, I'm tired.
This album didn't really leave any lasting inpressions on me and I doubt that I'll come back to it.
I don't doubt the musical quality of the record. I'm just not the biggest fan of this country lounge blues karaoke folk genre. Sorry.
The moment i saw this, I just heard the familiar WE. ARE. FAH-ME-LEIGH! Glad I wasn't wrong. I enjoyed this record a bunch, it's some really wonderful mood boosting disco. I also discovered the main sample of a remix I heard in a hotel some time ago, so that also made me happy. It's the main beat of Thinking of You for those curious.
Will listen again.
It totally fit the mood of getting ready for nultá hodina while it's still dark outside. It's a wonderful album, beautiful in its simplicity. Would listen again.
I appreciate that I listened to and now know about this album. Although i definitely heard OHHH LORD WON'T YOU BUY MEE A MERCEDES BENZ before. But It's not really something I'd listen to on the regular:).
I liked it. It was nice. My brain needs breathing room to process the amount of music I intake daily, so this album is mostly a pleasant blur of sounds rn.
Big dracula vibes. I had no desire to listen to this more than was completely necessary. Again, I don't doubt any artistic qualities the album has, but it's a no from me.
Only listened to half. Wasn't blown away.
A bit of a mixed bag for me personally, but overall it's great.
I'm sorry, but I really wasn't in the mood for this typa music today. I'll add a rating later. Maybe.
Good album, not sure if I'll listen again
It's just about fine. Weird that there's a compilation on here..
It is jazz. It feels very long, longer than it actually is. I appreciate the artistry but won't listen again.
Feels like an album I'd come across while digging through the discounted record bin and buying it just for the giggles.
Kinda slaps, almost like I've heard it before in terrible tinny quality coming from my mom's Sony Ericsson flip phone as a soundtrack to a gangsta' parkour mobile game. Or something that would play from the bullies' boombox in an anti-bullying campaign. Or something Felix would download very slo-o-o-owly through uloz.to in his Extrem DJ phase. Or what rowdy eight-year-olds would learn their dance routine to in a small town Hip Hop afterschool class.
Giving it a very biased 4-star rating, because unlike the past multiple albums, this actually evoked "some" emotional reaction.
Ha! I already listened to this album out of my own will like two weeks ago, when I saw it was on this list. But that doesn't mean I remembered much, sooo... Wait a sec.
I didn't really remember much from it even the second time round. It's not really "my" genre. But i do appreciate her.
Ahh another random punk rock album
Yes! I love his music, very happy to see it here.
Funnily enough, I also already listened to this album a few days ago. Happy to relisten.
It's really trippy, and I love that, What Does Your Soul Look Like Pt. 4 immediately struck me, it hits just right. Wouldn't say it's a really consistent and/or coherent experience listening back to back. Some of the tracks are simply too noisy, overwhelming and a little too striking. But based on the musical gems this album has, I'm giving it a full star rating.
Left no lasting impressions.
Might rate later didn't finsh coz slep
The real modrý music, reminds me of my dad.
Yesss the generator's been on a good run lately. It's a classic. Very good.
YEEES, banger after banger!
Totally biased but love this album.
I listened to Moby, Massive Attack and Beatles on a very long train ride to Slovakia a few years back and it really left a lingering feeling after, it's hard to describe but it felt just right. Now I'm being thrown right back into that time and I feel like returning to the Spišská Nová Ves thrift store.
Great music, especially for dreamily looking out the window
Naaaah really wasn't feeling this
Very good, I like it a lot. Reminds me of my mom
Very good, I like it a lot. Also reminds me of my mom. Yeah, but needless to say, Aretha is a wonderful singer, just a joy to listen to.
Kind of slaps, although I would need to listen again to form a more compelling opinion,
It changes genres a lot, but it's nice overall
Kanye's an asshole but no denying his music's good
What a banger. Might start listening to Nirvana a bit more.
It's cool but haven't listened enough since I was holly and jolly today
Pretty good but forgot most of it
Simply amazing music and idk what else to add
Like telling people that Gangsta's Paradise was not an og track
Very iconic man. Heard a bunch of these before. Nice listen. Still prefer the original Thank You by Dido though.
👹❗️
I prefer different angry music.
I do like it and know it's very influential and all but did find listening to the whole thing a bit tiresome. But giving it a. For
This goes way too hard. And the image of pani musilova counting stacks is still very vivid and doesn't go away.
Listened to this one before, thought it was great and then never came back to it. So I'm very glad the generator got me to relisten, since this really is a masterpiece. Like most people, my favorite is the Immigrant dong (i'm leaving the typo there).
Elvis pretty much be Elvisin' all over the place. I find it interesting that for some of these songs, I've heard them before in a hundred different interpretations. But that's just how it was back then. And ayy, the album's pretty much fine. I doubt that I'll come back to it. Probably quite influential.
I had casual mixed feelings about Elton John before this, loving Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road but super annoyed by I'm Still Standing. Now I'm realizing how good his music actually is. Hesn't quite my usual thing but giving it an up thumbs.
I was just thinking about the place where I stepped out the tram like two years ago and started running with crystalised on full blast in my ears when this album showed up. Interesting coincidence... Oxenfree type vibe.
Really really great music. And they most likely took inspiration from Nick Drake, just try listening to Which Will and Hotel Yorba back to back. Would listen again.
Good and good I finally listend
Haven't listened enough but enjoyed. Bonus points for the stylish album cover.
Used to listen to weekend and havent really paid much attention to the album. Overall pretty good but doubt ill ever come back to it. All is talk about pussay and bootay so quite the scandal aint it
This goes way too hard given I'm not exactly an avid hip hop listener. Love the different musical styles.
Although I do like a lot of electronic music, this just sounds like a constant drill of disco robot sounds. Really not into that.
I wanna rawwwk wit u alll niiiite dancee u into daaay
I played it in the background and liked it. Should probably listen more to get a better feel for it
As much as I'm trying to, I'm having a tough time distinguishing the tracks from one another. Would probably have to listen a bunch more to do that. But I like the vibe of the music in general, definitely smashed some pumpkins. There's a lot of electric guitar... sludge? And it makes me feel like a tragically misunderstood 2000's teenager dissociating in their room and playing this cd on repeat, simultaneously driving their parents insane. And I'm into that sorta vibe. Very cool and recognizable album cover. Wonder whats the story behind it and the two girls.
Jungle videogame soundtrack except it has vocals and it's also ska, not really my thing
It's good, don't think I'll listen to it again.
Love me some old school hip hop
It does feel like I'm in the diner with them, but I think it's safe to say that it gets quite boring. Also, it's not my music taste at all. Maybe it's the lyrics that should make this shine but I'm generally not a very lyric-oriented person. Sorry for such a low rating, it's just straight up sluggish.
Liked this way more than expected. Close to giving it a five.
Although I wouldn't say I particularly fancy live records, this one definitely has something more to it. It's noticeably less punchy and loud than most of their studio records, so there's quite a different kind of feel to it.
Love me some old school hip hop. This album really did make a great impression on me so imma giv it 2 dem. The full score I mean.
Enjoyed this way more than expected, been listening to this in the background for a while now and haven't gotten tired of it. Four stars
Not my favorite abba album but still a jam. It's quite an effective mood booster
Great great rock, liked it a bunch.
Its nice, its good, probably dont have anything to add besides that
Beep boop robot music but this time actually good
Okay i do admit its really pleasant
A very atmospheric and memorable album, liked it a lot.
Pretty good, but quite unmemorable and underwhelming.
Quite an intense album. Enjoyed
Funnily enough, I already listened to this album in the midst of my unstoppably enthusiastic Album Generator phase. I used to go onto Google sometimes to generate a random number between 1 and 1001 and find another album to listen to that day. I only wish to get a smidgen of this enthusiasm back now, hah. Anyway, this album bangs. Super funky. The track that caught my attention most was Freddie's Dead, since I already heard its cover on that one Fishbone album. Not sure under what circumstance I'd listen to this album again, would recommend nonetheless.
On & on, & on, & on, & on, & on, & on, & on, & on, & on, & on...
Knew about this one before. Dont feel like ALL of the tracks hit right, but some really do. So imma be giving it the V, vhich also stands for very iconic.
...Or vacuum. Whichever floats your boat.
Message in a Bottle is a classic.
As for the other tracks, I wouldn't say they're necessarily bad, but still surprisingly quirky. And It's also a bit too reggae-y for me at times. Overall not bad, but it's just one of those albums where I'm fine with only knowing the singles.
It's pretty silly sometimes, but I usually have a big bias towards most old-school hip hop. So foar stahrs it is.
Might have found one of my best studying albums.
It's just busy enough to keep your mind satisfied and prevent you from falling asleep, and just calm enough as to stay in the background and not interrupt your thoughts.
But couldn't imagine happily strutting down the street while having this playful plethora of beep boops injected into my pair of precious ear canals. That'd just make me sad:(
Three stars?! That's quite radical of me, right? Well, let me explain.
I've had this album saved for a while, but still chose to only listen
to Superstition everytime, because it's simply the best track on there.
Listening to this album back to back is a super sappy and overly sweet romantic journey, and compared to Innervisions (for example), it just becomes bland to listen to.
I'd say that for me, it's just one of the slightly weaker Stevie Wonder albums. And I have the bar raised pretty high for him.
A mixed bag for me. Some of it is brilliant, the album's highs are extremely... high. And it's quite an influential album. Still wouldn't say it's really for me. Also Káně is a certified éshoul, sadly. So there's that.
Dad rock to the max, simply the daddest album to ever rock. Makes me wanna crack open a cold one, cross my legs on the coffee table and complain 'that they just don't make music like they used to'.
...
meh/10
My opinion did change a bit since I first listened. It's a cool album. Crosseyed and Painless is my favorite from it
Is this an Ursynów calling reference
I think it isn't surprising that I really really adore this album. Massive attack has been my top 3 band for two years and even though my all time favorite album is definitely Mezannine, Blue Lines is absolutely amazing. Easy easy 5 stars.
Feels like a gentle hug for the heart, a light breeze flowing lightly in-between your brain creases, a warm evening walk in the tropical air when the sun has just set or the tranquil feeling of knowing that you're falling asleep and there's nothing left to worry about for today
Reminds me of being in that car one time
Fajnšmekrský a fýluje jak depešáci
This bangs. Feels nostalgic even though I've only known it for two years, I'm looking back to that one time I was scraping moss off the roof.
Maybe I'm not mature enough to hate this album or something? Doesnt matter, really
Seems mentally unwell and a bit unsettling but bangs
Love love love it has drive and its CRISPY
If the goal of this album was to make me deeply uncomfortable, then it sure did a damn good job at it
A spectacularly rock-solid rock album
RAAHHH BEATLES RAAAAHHHHH THEBLIKE BUGS ON THE CROSSWAKK RAAAH
Simon and Garfunkel mixed with the beatles, its pleasant
Idk but mirrorball is cool
Wonderful storytelling + reminds me of my dad
Inoffensive and emotional songwriting
Enjoyed. Love old school hip hop
One of my top five albums of all time!!
Love everything about it!!♡
Way better than i remember it being
Top 10 albums to instantly sever your soul

And to quote another reviewer:
"atmorpshere lik e parmesan chees"
What a bloody beautiful album this is. I'd give it the biggest metaphorical applause that my two measly ol' hands could manage
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ALBUM of all time!(besides Mezannine) I know I haven't been rating much lately, but I just can't not rate this one since it finally came up. Might as well start rating again, why not.
I really liked it! Reminds me of Everything but the Girl, but not as electronic. Also the girl on the album cover looks like Nora
