This album is so oddly familiar, like it's been used in movies or it influenced lots of stuff.

Holy smokes not my bag

Chimey guitar and Mandolin stylings, I think, were rare in '83. Not the best debut album but I think these guys are going places!

Now this is what I'm talking about. I met George Clinton working security at the One World fest in 96. It was the P funk all stars with Fishbone and I think James Brown headlined with Bootsy Collins. This is the fest where I didn't recognize De La Soul and made them take the long way To The Stage cause they didn't have the right passes. I'm an idiot, they were great. Any who this album was fun.

This and DJ Shadow were my soundtrack during some Raver years. I smoked a joint and drove around listening to this yesterday and never got to where I was going.

Patti Smith is one of those artists I've always known about and always respected but never really jammed. This album is fantastic. She's so stylized and emotive and the music is friendly enough to actually listen to (I'm looking at you Punk Rock).

This review is lucky I had to spend all day in my car. Better than I imagined but I feel like I could just listened to Hair or A better musical.

Feel like my wife picked the album today. This reminds me of that trend where pretty, sweet sounding white ladies did covers of hard core rap on acoustic guitars.

The early 2000's radio stations ruined this album for me.
