i really thought "this sounds something off the soundtrack for 'jet set radio' or a 'tony hawk' game" and it turns out it's actually both. brilliant

much prefer "synth taylor" to "guitar taylor" so there's a lot to appreciate here even if it gets a little slow for me in the third act. style remains a top 5 pop song of the decade

top tier option in the "my dad" oeuvre
i'm realizing every college basement show i ever went to in boston was just trying to be this

music for sipping coffee on the porch as the seasons change
canada is just indie america so this tracks
pretty fun and funky but no reason to revisit; is this the album with the least robust wikipedia page?
i'm tired of this guy

ahead of its time in that it sounds just like the albums i didn't want to listen to in 2008
folky, flutey, feels like a blanket
replaceable
46 million listens on oliver's army, and 23 million are people rewinding after a double take

a reasonably beachy boy
bark bark meow meow
good timing to be sullen and stoned
great timing on this one
great! if you like this you should listen to Live! 8-24-1979, the energy is so fun and a lo-fi touch really works well, probably my 5 star B-52s album. it's as big as a whale
pretty good but there aren't any songs about applebees so i'm not sure if it counts as country music
a potato flew around my room before you came

g. love and special sauce is the name of a college radio duo who got stuck with the 4AM timeslot, which is probably where this belongs
good beats, good bars, good vibes
i have found folk music that speaks to me but this just doesn't do anything for me
groovy funky smokey tokey
bathing in a bubble bath of bits and bytes. feels like taking a power washer to my brain
doesn't even have a jojo reference

i will not be listening to the entirety of this one before i die

I'm sure this would be fun if I at all liked Metallica
i at least support saving donald duck
shocking proportion of bangers, but with a few biiiig stinkers i'm not convinced that there's much reason to visit this as an actual album over a greatest hits compilation
sounds like what you'd think a bruce springsteen 9/11 album sounds like
now that's a pretty solid vista
i gotta give em credit, starting with a wonderwall fakeout is very funny

early talking heads is still excellent talking heads
aggressively sleepy
i tend to underrate early-2000s indie folk stuff but something about this works for me. absolutely devastating album art though
excellent if repetitive melodies, though vocals is tough for me to get past. cool stuff
