Our Aim Is To Satisfy
Red SnapperSome interesting bits, with some not so interesting bits.
Some interesting bits, with some not so interesting bits.
Very interesting, not sure I’d come back to it, but it was pretty engaging.
Incredible album, vibes off the chain.
The hits are huge, the filler tracks step into novelty at times.
Pretty forgettable
Too boogie woogie, great singles though
Way better than I thought it would be
interesting moments
Some very good tracks
Bangers
Quite fun, lots of breadth
Absolutely brilliant, very nearly a 5
Meh
Enjoyed more than I expected
Some good tracks, some not so good tracks
Not for me
More diverse than I was expecting
Didn’t enjoy as much as I expected
Interesting moments, but forgettable
Didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected
Not bad, some good moments but quite forgettable
Some cool moments in between some absolute shite
Would give it 3.5 if I could, easy listening album
Some real interesting moments
Got a little samey in places
Hoped I would like it more, didn’t really resonate with me
Really not my cup of tea, all songs sound the same and don’t go anywhere
The hits carry the album
Some nice moments, but not really my cup of tea
Not the biggest Pulp fan, but this wasn’t bad.
Too bluesy and boogie woogie for me to really appreciate
Little bit boring
The hits are obviously good, but this album isn’t as good as the hype
Not bad, pretty forgettable though
Pretty boring with some interesting moments
Pretty boring with some interesting moments
Some of their best songs but not without duller moments.
Musically so good, but I HATE the vocals.
Some nice moments, but ultimately a little bland for me.
Nice moments largely not interesting though
Short and sweet
Not amazing, pretty forgettable
Better than expected, like the tracks with orchestra on
Some good, catchy songs
I will die on the hill that this is a near perfect album
Not really my cup of tea
Very very good
Good album but gets a little repetitive after a while
Too boogie woogie for me
Good album, but not their best in my opinion
Enjoyed more than I expected, sonically very interesting.
Very good album
Definitely not the best Beatles album, but still killer songs
Very good album, lots of the hits, don’t think it’s as good as MM for me though.
The best part of this album is when Spotify shuffled from it to tears for fears.
Not their best, takes a little while to get going.
Not bad at all
Couple of good songs, but for the most part pretty dull
Pretty good, if not a little dull in some places
Really not for me
Aside from the hits it didn’t really resonate with me.
Not their best album in my opinion, still very good though.
Honest to god might be one of the best albums ever made, it’s a shame Mr Brightside became such a meme song because this would be absolutely flawless.
The longer the album went on, the more bored I got. One idea that was done over and over.
Fine, but got a little samey
This has some huge hits on it, and unlike a lot of its counterparts from this era, the album ends before it gets boring and repetitive.
Not bad, gets a little samey in places though
A bit to prog for me, some of the stuff if there’s that shuffled after this album were much more my taste.
Overall good album, golden era Kanye.
Pretty good moments but largely unforgettable.
Very good, not the best
Pretty good, just like a lot of albums from that era, it’s too long.
Just good bit of punk, not a gratuitously long album either
Not bad, less novelty than I was expecting.
Fun album and very good integration of the orchestra.
Very much of it’s era, nice moments though.
Pretty boring, I definitely prefer his later work.
Musically really good, but I absolutely hate this style of singing. Also 1h 16 is just too long for an album, got very repetitive.
Pretty good, good 80s bangers
Very good album despite not having any of the well know hits
I think I just don’t love this era of music, not terrible, just not particularly interesting.
Not bad, but ultimately quite forgettable
The monologue was good, but a lot of this was just gratuitous.
Fine as background sex music, but really nothing of value beyond that
Some interesting bits, with some not so interesting bits.
Good tunes, still not the biggest fan of beck though
One of the rare albums from this era that stops before it gets boring. I still feel like this is such a product of its era that I’d struggle to differentiate it from its piers.
Not bad, very match rock, which isn’t really my bag.
Very fun album, enjoyed this a lot
A good if not forgettable album that’s very much of its era.
I’m glad the Beatles evolved from this sound, this is everything they ended up rebelling against by the end.
Some great tunes on here
Didn’t expect this to be as good as it was, lots of oasis/ stone roses vibes.
Fun little time capsule of its moment in music. Definitely feels of its era though
Great music to fall asleep to, but not as influential as other electronic music in my opinion.
This is a very good album that’s let down by tracks not being good enough to be there, if they’d left the weaker tracks off this album it would’ve been stronger for it.
Very fun, some absolutely ridiculous basslines in here.
Pretty good moments but ultimately nothing spectacular.
Obviously a very good album, only reason I’m not scoring it higher is because grundge as a genre tends to get a little repetitive to me. Would be 3.5 if I could give it.
There are so many hits on this album, such an influential sounds.
Very fun, and interesting to see how it influenced hip hop.
They say good art should make you feel something. If that’s true this is a masterpiece, I hate this album with every fibre of my being. It is so inoffensive and benign that it is possibly the worst body of work I’ve encountered. I hate the fact that I had to listen to this middle of the road, pseudo indie bollocks for 45 minutes. Regardless of genre and content, I can usually find something I like in any of these albums, this is the first that has given me absolutely nothing to cling on to. I don’t know how it ended up on this list and I hope I never encounter anything from them ever again.
Very fun album, lots of great moments
Pretty good, not overhyped which is pretty impressive. Some of the interlude bits got a little annoying after a while though.
Solid album, feels like it maybe tails off in the second half.
Very pretty tracks, some of them fall a bit flat though.
The most interesting part of this album was discovering a sample used by Skepta. QOTSA are best in small doses in my opinion, an album feels too long.
Pretty boring, like a lot of the albums of this era. A worse version of what their peers were doing.
Some great tunes but after a while it gets a little samey.
Far more enjoyable than I anticipated.
Pretty good if not a bit uneventful
Very good album, I think this might be my favourite piece of Radiohead
Not bad, but not the best.
Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but this album is so bloody good.
Very interesting, not sure I’d come back to it, but it was pretty engaging.
This would be an incredible album if it were 1/4 the length. Some absolutely iconic tunes between some absolute shite.
I’ve never been the biggest Bowie fan, but this is a very good album, probably his best in my opinion.
Blues isn’t really my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the quality of the songs here
Very forgettable to the point where I forgot I had already listened to it.
Absolutely fine, but nothing that particularly jumps out at me.
A good album, I still prefer Glowing in the Dark, but this is still good.
I was expecting this to be the new kind of pop that is actually quite good. But unfortunately this is just not a good album, it’s filled with musical cliche and has no standout moments.
Good album, not incredible though.
This album is loaded with some of the best hits of the era. Great production.
Historically I’m not the biggest Beck fan so ai wasn’t expecting to love this. But this is such a good album, very very high quality song writing.
Fine, but a bit all over the place, not my cup of tea.
