Abbey Road
BeatlesBecause is one of my favorite Beatles songs; the run from golden slumbers to the end is insane, i never realized how much i love golden slumbers and carry that weight; also finding a new appreciation for she’s so heavy

I feel like this was a decent listening experience, and objectively I can understand why it’s good, but I just couldn’t connect with it meaningfully. My lower rating doesn’t really reflect a lack of quality I guess?
I love it because it’s Amy, but it pales in comparison to Back to Black. Not nearly as dynamic. Favorites are in my bed and Amy Amy Amy.
I loved this way more than I thought. It’s such a brilliant and cohesive album. It’s not really something I would normally be interested in sound-wise, but really made an impact. Faves: five years, starman, it ain’t easy, lady stardust, rock n roll suicide.
A rough listen for me, and a good example of how I’m sure there will be many albums on this list that are “technically good” but really don’t resonate with me. I was just bored, to be honest. Tough sell when every song on the album is either thirty seconds or ten minutes long. Some nice guitar tho, I enjoyed Mood for a Day the most out of any other song on the album.
I admittedly didn’t give this a very close listen, because I just listened to it a couple of months ago for the first time and didn’t like it, and I liked it even less this time. Way too same same for me. Doesn’t go anywhere as my dad says.
Enjoyed this more than I thought, would listen again. Bang a Gong is a classic, but I also really liked Mambo Sun and Cosmic Dancer and a few other cuts. A solid one!
Probably would not listen again, but I am always charmed by David byrne’s weirdness. Love psycho killer, and I was grooving with the first three songs. Talking heads, i can never hate you - rounding up to a three
Probably wouldn’t listen again - it’s just sooo long. There are a good number of gems here, but it’s a lot? Favorites: what is life, all things must pass, LOVE the art of dying. Eh. I don’t know George!
Understandably controversial and unfortunately really nostalgic for me (summer 05 baby!). Musically, I find it pleasing, but not overly so. Favorite songs: Boy in the Bubble, Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes; you can call me Al.
Not sure I would listen again - I enjoyed this less than I thought I would - I really wish we could give half star reviews. Still love it for mailbu tho. Other faves: the title track (of course)northern star, and boys on the radio.
Wouldn’t listen again necessarily but i enjoyed this way more than i thought! It really rocked! Favorites were speed king and flight of the rat. Not my style but for what it is, it rules.
Would definitely turn on during work again; very nostalgic and ambient for me; Intro alone could take this all the way home, but I also like most of the other tracks just fine.
Would not listen again, kind of a tough one; California stars is nice?
Already a favorite; this album rules; favorites: train in vain, lost in the supermarket, guns of Brixton, clampdown.
Probably wouldn’t listen again; not too bad to have on in the background at work, but not really my style, i think my favorite songs were the first and last
Would listen again; have always loved Green Day’s sound and this album came out right as i started college so the nostalgia is high; plus i just like it anyway! Favorites: Holiday, boulevard of broken dreams, st. Jimmy, American idiot.
Would definitely listen again; took me a long time to come around to Nirvana, but now I think I’ve achieved the requisite suffering to appreciate it and these guys really rock; favorites: in bloom, come as you are, something in the way. Oh Kurt, what could have been!
Would listen again; an incredibly pleasant surprise; just real nice tunes; favorites: darkness darkness, smug, sham.
Wouldn’t listen to again all the way through, but would always listen to the bangers; nostalgic but not Mariah’s best; favorites: honey, butterfly, breakdown might be my favorite Mariah song of all time
I did not like this at all thanks
Would probably listen again; too bad Eric Clapton is a weird, because this does rock pretty hard, though not a no-skip for me; favorite songs: sunshine of your love, strange brew; tales of brave Ulysses
Would listen again - a truly most pleasant surprise. Maybe in my old age, I’m becoming comfortable with the idea of treating jazz as a journey and not a destination. Favorites: Moon Dreams, Venus de Milo, Israel.
Didn’t really care for this and would not listen again - city of fun was kind of ok? Rounding up from a 1.5 here.
A favorite and would always listen to again…loved this album so much in law school. Was so excited to get it and it delivered. First half of the album is my favorite, and electric feel is a forever banger. Really a 4.5 for me.
Would listen again as ambient music; an interesting experience; tough to pick favorites but i liked floating along with this in general
Would listen again; even a mediocre Queen album gets high marks from me - i could listen to Freddie sing about anything anywhere. Favorites: bohemian rhapsody, death on two legs; you’re my best friend
Would listen again; damn this was fun; a well deserved round up from 3.5; favorites: shining star, africano
Would listen again - took me back to being a teenager!
Would listen again, definition of cool, get up and dance! Favorites: Freddie’s dead, superfly, Pusherman
Would not listen again, but rounding up to three; objectively I’m interested, subjectively I don’t like it; his voice doesn’t always work for me again. Favorites: straight to you, brother my cup is empty, when i first came to town.
So far outside of my comfort zone but I really had a good time with this while I was shoveling snow. Favorites: soubour, irganda, jolie
Would listen again; extremely good vibes, really more like 4.5; favorites: that lady, summer breeze, but every song really kind of slaps!
I considered giving this a four, but listen - these are the sounds of my adolescence, and this is a no-skip album for me. “Get Me Away From Here, I’m Dying” is one of the finest songs ever written. I understand why other people don’t vibe with this, but I love love love it.
Wouldn’t listen again - I don’t think I get LCD Soundsystem like other people do. My favorite song was when this album looped into dance yrself clean 😂
Maybe would listen again. I dig this, but I don't LOVE it. The Message is of course a classic, and the rest is pretty good. Some of hip hop culture REALLY has not aged well, though. And by that I mean the rampant homophobia.
Wouldn't listen again. Turns out I don't really like this album. Song 2 is fantastic, and I liked a couple of others, but overall kind of a dud for me. A couple of songs sounded like the Smiths, and not in a good way?
Probably would not listen again but I recognize this is objectively pretty good ; favorite song is probably been down so long; maybe i just don’t like the doors? Low 3
Would not listen again; I was genuinely excited for this but it underwhelmed me. The Y2K of it all has aged poorly. What it feels like for a girl is still an excellent song. This is a straight up two.
Would listen again; just a simple, fun and good album that I would have loved when I was heavy into the clash, the specials, etc. in my teenage years. A high three that I’m rounding up to a four. Faves: English rose, all mod cons into to be someone
Would always listen again; is it objectively a four? Maybe not, but for me it is; love the loaf’s voice and these instrumentals are crazy; faves: paradise by the dashboard light, two out of three ain’t bad, bat out of hell
