Always good to listen to Paul. This album is no different. Has some of his Beatles influences fused in; While different to stay current with the musical era. A well produced album all around
It was an ok album, I liked the music for the most part. I was not a big fan
Very soothing, relaxed album feel. Classified as dance, I get it. But, it’s very ambient and more jazzy with the beats and vocals. Very upbeat coffee house vibes for most of the album. Definitely, up there for listening pleasure on my end. Favourite song would have to be “Röyskopp’s night out” a nice dark underground disco-ish vibe. I would also say it has a little Bond vibe as well. Liked the album, mixed all the way through. Definitely on the playlist now.
First off… such a great era for alternative music. It’s very good mix of dirty guitar riffs and a soft dark melodic voice. Definitely seems like they have some Beatles influences. I enjoyed the whole album. Favourite song off this album was, “sworn and broken”
Has that east coast feeling to the whole album. But, definitely has a good old school country twang in there. Liked some of the songs in the album. But, not enough to listen to it front to back consistently. I would have to say my favourite song was, “Christ for president”.
Ohh gawd… this was a nice throwback for me. This was one of my first hip hop records. This to me was when hip hop was at one of its greatest eras of all time. Favourite song on this album is; “one love” feat. Q-tip. Q-tip is another great, but we are talking about Nas. Great album all around, something I can listen to front to back
Great album. I only knew Bowie from the labyrinth and a few key songs. This is a totally different side of Bowie I’m hearing. I enjoyed the whole album
One of my favourite bands. Very much in my era for music as a child. Has the mix of jazzy licks, poetic verses, and of course Flea with his guitar/ on stage presence through-out the album. The whole band is a wrecking crew for what was 90’s alternative. They are a band that has stood the test of time in the music industry. And, also in my playlist…
Total 80’s hip hop album. Completely enjoyed the whole thing. Can hear some run DMC in the beats and the rhymes. There is also songs like “renegades of funk”; I know the rage against the machine version. I’m guessing it was sampled and used from this original. Can’t get high hat and percussion away from 80’s hip hop…
First off… it’s Lynyrd Skynyrd… classic. I would have to say the 70’s was a great era for albums that can be listened to front to back. The whole album has an amazing sound. Also has great hits like, “simple man”, and “free bird”.
For me iconic 90’s era music for the alternative scene. Great album front to back. I re-learned this band, again… Didn’t listen to much of there other albums besides this one.
Gawd 4 years after my graduation. #old balls. Hahaha great band, great album. Awesome 90’s, 00’s band that had there own unique sound/style.
It was a good album. Reminds me of my SAIT days. Yes, I’m old… haha I would have to say that my favourite song of the album would have to be, “renegade” feat. Eminem.
It wasn’t bad album overall. There was some good, some not that good songs. Didn’t really have a favourite song from this album. Seemed like an album you would play in a coffee house.
One of my first rap albums ever.. probably one of Snoops best albums in my eyes. The whole album I can listen to front to back. My favourite song on the album would have to be, ‘who am i(what’s my name)’.
A good alternative band for the era. Definitely a band that helped the alternative scene, well in my case anyway. Very similar to a ‘Tragically Hip’ sound. A good mix of traditional music instruments and newer aged electric instruments. Favourite song off the album would be; ‘Stand’. This song brought me back.
Original blues for the win!! This was a great album to just sit back with a coffee and a doobie and listen. Enjoyed the whole album. I find you can’t go wrong with good classics like this.
Throwback of what the grunge era of music for me. Highly distorted guitar riffs, slow off key singing. Really, gets you into a mood… either happy or mad… depending on the song. There wasn’t a song that stood out for me, enjoyed the whole album.
Usual U2 album. Was never a huge U2 fan
Great album, knew most of the songs on it. Never knew the album or the names of some songs but when they started playing I recognized them right away. It’s an album that you can’t help but sing with or bop along too. You can’t never go wrong with CCR.
👍🏻👍🏻 enjoyed the album
I get that coffee house by the beach vibe from this album. Almost cultural, to a degree… São Paulo confessions…. Haha. I really enjoyed this album from beginning to end.
