Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos

This album is excellent. Piano playing and arrangements are top-notch. Seriously, just listen to Winter! Perfect song in my opinion. It's really a shame that this is the only Tori Amos album on the list, she's got a few others deserving to be on here as well. A solid 5 star album for me.

This could just be the best live album ever. Such a fun experience listening to Cooke perform some of his best songs to a crowd that was absolutely loving every second of it. And how could anybody not?? Sam Cooke is such a talented performer as evidenced by this album. Such a shame he was taken from this world so young. Crazy how Cooke’s record label chose not to release this album for fear it could damage his image. Really poor decision on their part, but I’m grateful that it eventually was released, because this is an absolute gem! Here’s why they call Sam Cooke the King of Soul

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu

I dunno, this album is pretty bad… really seems like they’re trying to make annoying music. Very little on here that I liked. Not a fan.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King

Fantastic live performance by The King of the Blues

The Dreaming by Kate Bush

One of my all-time favorite albums. Truly a Kate Bush masterpiece.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Oct 09 2025

My first album on this site, and it's a great one! Seven Nation Army is a fantastic way to start an album. And the rest of the album doesn't let down either. Very solid stuff, some of the best from The White Stripes

With The Beatles by Beatles
Oct 12 2025

I haven't listened to the early Beatles in a while, so this was fun. Lots of great tunes. One of my least favorite Beatles albums but still a 5/5 to me.

Who's Next by The Who
Oct 14 2025

Love love love this album. One of my absolute favorite rock albums. Perfect from start to finish in my opinion

Tommy by The Who
Oct 18 2025

Ah yes, the "rock opera". Cute idea. Pretty good album

Oct 23 2025

Can't understand what he's saying, but I can still dig it. This album’s definitely got a groove. French rap sounds very cool. I’m also a fan of the jazzy parts too. All around, a very good album

Oct 24 2025

My first time listening to The Fall. Decent punk album I suppose. I don’t love it but I don’t hate it. I’ll listen again, maybe it’ll grow on me. We’ll see.

Oct 25 2025

A damn good album this is. It’s got Free Bird, Simple Man, Tuesday’s Gone. I also despise Lynyrd Skynyrd for obvious reasons. I’ll meet in the middle and give it 3 stars

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Oct 27 2025

This is some fun music, I’m a fan. First time listening to salsa, and I really like it

Oct 28 2025

Pretty good album. It’s got Bohemiam Rhapsody, so it’s already an all-timer. I’ve heard Bohemian Rhapsody before but the rest of the album was all pretty much new to me. A lot of Queen “deep cuts” so to say on here. It’s got some weird moments, but overall it's still pretty good.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Incredible album, every song is amazing. Gotta love John Fogerty’s voice, just so good

Didn't love it, although jazz music usually takes a while for me to get into. Maybe I'll listen again, we'll see if it grows on me.

My Generation by The Who
Nov 05 2025

Day 28, and already on my third The Who album. Crazy. Anyways, this album is alright. I’ve heard a few of their hits from here before, but most of it was new to me. Neat how bluesy they sound in some songs, then how punk rock they sound in others. A very good album

Pink Flag by Wire
Nov 06 2025

Love this album. Very fast and high intensity. Guitar riffs are also excellent. In my opinion, one of the best post-punk albums ever made.

1989 by Taylor Swift
Nov 07 2025

Some of the best from T-Swizzle. Hit after hit on this album. Not my favorite album of hers - I much prefer some of her later ones, but this album has so many great songs that it would be a disservice to give it less than a 4

Abraxas by Santana
Nov 08 2025

Amazing album, I was grooving the whole way through. I seriously need to listen to more Santana

Dirt by Alice In Chains

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar

Wow, this one was pretty good. Rap isn't really my thing. This was my first real exposure to Kendrick. I was really impressed. I'll probably go listen to some more Kendrick now

Yes this is a FUN album. Very 80s. Filled with great songs. Cyndi Lauper rocks

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Nov 20 2025

One of my all-time favorite albums. Truly a Kate Bush masterpiece.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Nov 22 2025

Al Green was just what I needed today. Some really good music :D

Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Dec 10 2025

I’ve never really found Leonard Cohen’s music very interesting. A common criticism I expect. On this album he tries to snaz things up with the synths and backing vocals, but it all feels weird and out of place on most songs. Cohen trying to stay “relevant” in the 80s is what this seems like, even though I doubt that targeting the trendy youths is a very good marketing strategy for Cohen’s type of music. Leonard Cohen is a fantastic songwriter, don’t get me wrong. There’s some beautiful poetry on this album, which makes up for my distaste towards the arrangements. So overall, a decent album. Solid 3 in my book

Kenza by Khaled
Dec 11 2025
Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Dec 12 2025

Very good album. My first exposure to The Stranglers except for Peaches, I’d heard that one a few times before. This album is fun, wacky, and pretty much everything you hope for a punk album to be. Also I must say, they made excellent use of the organ in album, multiple songs with killer solos.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Dec 13 2025
Rum Sodomy & The Lash by The Pogues
Dec 14 2025

Wild that I got this album today. Yesterday, for whatever reason, the idea popped into my head to listen to The Pogues, so I turn on this album. And it's not like I listen to the Pogues often, its probably been over a year since my last listen. Then today, the generator gives me this album. Wild coincidence, can't imagine the odds. Anyways, this album is so much fun, love it. The traditional Irish folk instruments are exceptional; the flutes, accordions, and what sounds like a banjo, mixed with the drunken slurred vocals makes it a blast to listen to. Every song's got character, this album is truly unique.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Dec 16 2025

Outstanding album. Incredible power ballads. A rock opera executed to perfection

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Dec 18 2025

Man, those flutes go hard. Actually, the whole album does. This is awesome

This album is phenomenal. I listened to this album once before around 10 years ago, then promptly forgot all about it until now. Mistake I say! "One Day Like This" really stands out, reminds me of the likes of Eleanor Rigby the way the orchestral arrangement fits so perfectly with the vocals. Very well done. Those strings are so powerful and hit with such impact towards the second half of the song. And that choir! Love it. I ought to check out more of Elbow's music now. Really good stuff here, 5/5

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Feb 01 2026

"Where Is My Mind?" is a perfect song, absolutely a 10/10. Excellent album as a whole. The Pixies are great. Very tasteful cover photo

All of the Kinks albums on this list are phenomenal, and I think this is probably the best one out of the bunch. Truly a Ray Davies masterpiece. To me, this is right up there with Sgt. Pepper’s and Pet Sounds as one of the most innovative albums of the 60s, it’s a whole 45 minutes of pure creativity and fun, I love it.
