I’ve never sat down and listened to Boston, but this was a fun time. Rock and roll!

Second time listening to The Doors. This one’s kind of overhyped, but it could be that I don’t actually like The Doors. Jury’s still out.

Over half these songs could bring me to tears in the right setting.

I think the only people who listen to this are users of this website.

This became very enjoyable once I imagined them all as cats.

Smooth Criminal might be the best pop song ever written. Had to listen to it twice before I could move on.

This is an album I think would really grow on me

It’s pretty evident by all the music that came after it how influential the Sex Pistols were. Also, they were fashionistas! Anyway, this album was great. I heard a lot of Green Day in it.

Rod Stewart’s voice makes me want to scratch my skin off and jump in a vat of rubbing alcohol.

Spent Christmas at Nate’s and he had one playlist on repeat which featured many songs from this. To then have to listen to those songs again was not ideal.

Beautiful music to get lost in. No skip album. 4.5 stars

One does not simply listen to Linkin Park objectively. I can’t listen to Hybrid Theory without remembering being 8 years old listening to Josh’s pirated music on Windows Media Player and hearing “Crawling” for the first time. “Papercut” was a corrupted file that cut off at the bridge and I didn’t know there was more until streaming became popular. I played “One Step Closer” in my head to keep a consistent freestyle pace on the high school swim team (“I need a little room to breath” while counting my breaths? 🤘). I could go on, but I’ll stop there. Great album. RIP Chester.

The Hammond organ is at it again 💃🏻 Not a boring moment on this album, despite how long the songs are (including the 8 minutes of spoken word. He’s a storyteller!) Definitely returning to this.

I kinda liked “Martin Rev's minimalist electronics and harsh, repetitive rhythms” (Wikipedia 😊). Didn’t like anything else.

That little bit of growling bowow yodeling is icing on the cake.

I recognized Lost In The Supermarket immediately and could only surmise that I’d heard it in Over The Hedge (2006) most likely covered by Ben Folds (I was right, I checked). And to think, I thought I only knew one The Clash song. Why is their most popular song worse than every song on London Calling? The only thing I didn’t like was how long it was. 4.5 stars

John Lydon looks like Arthur Weasley.

Borderline insufferable. It’s giving “I’m trapped in the car with new people, and I don’t have control of the aux”.

I’m not saying it’s his fault, but I got my first migraine ever a few hours after listening to some of this.

A master class album filled with every country music cliche.

I don’t appreciate the insinuation that non-Christians are immoral. 0 stars for that. I enjoyed Pretty Boy Floyd, but I prefer Woody Guthrie’s version.

Some good songs, but overall it falls short of what I was hoping for. 2.5 stars

2015 - 2018 weren’t great years for me. Was it because this album was completely inescapable? No, but it certainly didn’t fucking help! I have a hard time respecting Adele as an artist when she makes millions capitalizing on bastardized renditions of heartbreak. The production style feels dated now, thank god. Her performative vocal style is nauseating and the lack of emotional depth in her lyrics is laughable. The only way I could sit through this album was trying to put words to why I have such a strong aversion to her. (Also, I’m not saying she’s an unattractive woman because she’s not, but her album covers are ass.)

“Self-Esteem” will be playing on the radio during the apocalypse.

I always think of Evan Rachel Wood when Marilyn Manson comes up. Very unfair that people as evil as Brian Warner can have such successful careers. May he burn in hell. As for the music I made it through 5 songs. Not as insufferable as I thought it would be, but if I wanted to listen to this type of music.. like.. The Downward Spiral is right there.

Feels like the whole album prepares you to listen to Psycho Killer and have it blow your mind even though you’ve heard it hundreds of times. Not to say the rest of the album isn’t fantastic. From start to finish it grabs your attention and doesn’t let up. Standout songs: uh-oh love comes to town, the book I read, don’t worry about the government, psycho killer

It’s not ELO’s fault that I’m sick of listening to 70’s rock right now. This was kind of exhausting and way too long. But it was also cinematic and fun! 3.5 stars
