In Rainbows by Radiohead
Mar 31 2026

"duh, duh, duh, we're doing the fucking song, duh duh duh" No but the start of this did surprise me, I liked it. Then by the end it did just degenerate into normal whiny Radiohead for me

Elephant by The White Stripes
Apr 01 2026

I already love this album. One of the first I ever bought with my own money Not listened to it for a while, it is still super weird and great

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen

Yank Crime by Drive Like Jehu
Apr 24 2026

The Undertones by The Undertones
Apr 29 2026

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
Apr 30 2026

Van Halen by Van Halen
May 21 2026

HONESTLY. This is misogynistic dross. I truly couldn't wait for it to end

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
May 22 2026

So Christmassy xxxx Honestly feels like it could have been recorded this year, which is both impressive and depressing There's one track that sounds like they just tried to cram in as many annoying noises as possible, that has marked it down for me.

May 25 2026

urgh, really all the worst people. Listening to this his weird pivot looks even weirder. But it really is a good album, its tough. But then the misogynistic lyrics mark it down for me.

With The Beatles by Beatles
May 28 2026

none of the good 'uns. And if this wasn't the Beatles it would be totally forgotten.

Berlin by Lou Reed
May 29 2026

Lou, could you lighten up a little? bleak. I like it loses points for the kids on Kids

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Jun 01 2026

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Jun 02 2026

False, it is actually much longer than that

Colour By Numbers by Culture Club
Jun 03 2026

Has anyone ever listened past the opener? It's dated but not in a good way. Boring pop that was probably very exciting at the time.

Jun 09 2026

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Jun 10 2026

how drunk was he on the first track I didn't really care for this, it was a bit of a slog

Jun 11 2026

I hate feeling like that white person who's too into 90s hip hop but I liked it a lot

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Jun 12 2026

Its making me want to listen to Graceland (that must be on here, right)

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Jun 16 2026

Probably never would have heard this without this site tbf Pleasant but not really my thing

Blur by Blur
Jun 17 2026

This is nice and got a lot weirder than I expected, in a good way. Song 2 is overplayed but slaps. It pleases me that it is the second song on the album. And that the album cover is a blur.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jun 18 2026

ohh this one It was probably very groundbreaking but is now just elevator music

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
Jun 19 2026

bit of hot potato I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, but I always think they would be better with a different vocalist

Jun 23 2026

2+ hours?! Ok it is 2 albums I guess Hey Ya is one of the best pop songs ever though. The whole album(s) a lot of fun but goes on way too long. Do always lose points for including a kid's voice, in my book

Done By The Forces Of Nature by Jungle Brothers
Jun 24 2026

What GCSE art student drew that cover I can't believe this is from 1989, it feels so modern. It's not really my thing but I appreciate that it is good

Phaedra by Tangerine Dream
Jun 25 2026

Note, just the first 4 tracks on Tidal! The whole thing is really unique, its wanky but I loved it. I enjoy the bird noises

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jun 30 2026

lovely noises Frank This genuinely gave me a headache

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Jul 01 2026

This is so surprisingly dark. It's a real downer.

Street Signs by Ozomatli
Jul 02 2026

Not on Tidal! Go on youtube. There's not all the wikipedia-listed tracks on one playlist but you can find the tracks about. It's nice enough but it feels like background music Listen for a specific phrase (hint, on Dejame en paz)

Eternally Yours by The Saints

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Jul 08 2026

American Gothic by David Ackles
Jul 09 2026

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Jul 14 2026

its nice, but very twee. Very 2008, quite boring

...And Justice For All by Metallica
Jul 15 2026

I've always found their mixing a little weird. They always sound like they're floating a few floors above me, in a tin can I'm sure its very technically impressive but it just doesn't connect with me. 'One' kinda slaps though.

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Jul 16 2026

There's some good stuff here but its very inconsistent. 'Fuzzy Birds' is really rough. The rest is like, fine, but doesn't really belong on this list.

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Jul 17 2026

Probably a victim of its own success, in that it was so influential that it now seems really dull and samey.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jul 20 2026

Weird and gorgeous

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Jul 21 2026

Really enjoyed it. I think its likely one that needs a few listens to really get into. So a 4 for now but could be a 5 in future.

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Jul 24 2026

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Jul 27 2026

A beautiful and sad album in the same bucket as Bowie's Blackstar.

Jul 29 2026
